The staff at Provident Jewelers always amaze me. I went in today because my watch stopped working. I thought it needed a new battery. But upon inspection, the battery that was running in the watch had popped out of place. At first glance, it appeared that the battery would not stay in place. After a few minutes of fiddling with it, the very capable jeweler was able to seat the battery and get my watch running again. Now, time is l money and I wanted to pay for the fix of my watch. They would not accept a dime. This is the second time this has happened to me at Provident. Great customer service I would highly recommend Provident for all your jewelry needs. read more

A high-end watch store, but nothing really compelling for the gentleman. It's an aesthetic thing. Lots of pricey watches, but nothing one might really wish to buy. If you have a Swiss watch, they also offer a repair service. If your watch is not Swiss, they may not repair it. Apparently it is difficult getting, e.g., Seiko parts. Peeps are nice enough, but the fact that they are reluctant to assist with your watch repairs unless the watch in question yodels and eats fondue makes them less than fully useful. read more

He and team added a missing pin to my watch band, cleaned my watch, and sent me on my way - no charge! Dan was incredibly professional and knowledgeable and was eager to help. While I waited, I walked around the store and was very impressed with the selection of gold and diamonds and became more impressed when I learned a little about the company history and their various locations, etc.... A company like that can only be built on exceptIonal products, integrity, and customer service. I put 4 pieces of estate jewelry on consignment. When I decided to take back 2 pieces, because I got sentimental, I noticed my necklace was on sale for $8000.00 more than what they offered to give me for the piece if it sold. I decided I wanted my bracelet back and Julie almost broke it because she would not let go of my bracelet. She did not want me to see what they were selling it for. And she wouldn't give me my bracelet unless she took the price tag off. This is pure greed and a huge red flag! I can not wait to pick up my remaining jewelry on consignment. Just had my second disaster with provident. First one. I was trading in a piaget necklace for another piece. I paid $8,000 for the necklace at piaget. Provident gave me $1,000 towards another piece. Said no one would want the puaget. A few weeks later they had my piaget necklace in the case as new jewelry not estate. I asked why and they wouldn't answer and got nervous. I asked how much they were selling it for and they wouldn't tell me. The second problem. The piece (ring) I bought was supposed to be sized. When I picked it up it was tight. They said I chose the size. And it was fine. Yesterday I took it to another jeweler and it had never been sized. It was a full size less than all my other rings. Buyer beware read more

As a business owner myself, I wish I knew this person's name. Because this one-star rating reflects the treatment, she provided me with over the phone. Instead of understanding my disappointment as a customer, she persistently coached me all the way. I started kindly by asking, can you please check on my order? I was told it would be done by the end of Monday, it is Thursday afternoon, and I haven't heard from anyone. First, I was told we don't have anything under your name, then there was an explanation nobody said it would be done this past Monday, but probably the next Monday. Next, I was told it was the system fault that it didn't register the job correctly until Monday, and then it was that other person fault that they didn't put a note in the system until Monday, so nobody was aware of the job and when it was supposed to get done. Finally, I was reminded that maybe I should never come back there if I am so disappointed. And I was told I could speak to one of the owners if I wanted to. But the way it was said, it was evident that there were no consequences for her actions and words. Maybe she doesn't appreciate the job she has or clients like me who simply called to check on their order. This experience and customer service were nowhere close to excellent as their recording states when you are put on hold. I hope other people are treated with kindness and understanding. read more

Provident has an expertise in repairing Swiss watches. I brought them a watch that started condensating inside due to a bad battery replacement. Provident replaced the gasket, battery and turned back time on the watch so that it looked new. My husband was very pleased with their handiwork. My fiance purchased my engagement ring through Provident Jewelry, after being highly recommended by his family that lives in the area. He replaced the clasp, since he had one. He did it on the spot, Noticed the chain seemed "dirty"and he cleaned it, then cleaned all my jewelry I had on.I asked if he had a jewelry box for a gift to my niece. He came back with a wooden box in perfect condition, fully padded. End result, necklace fixed and cleaned, jewelry cleaned and box received .
