Good neighborhood bar on 5th ave in park slope. Happy hour 4-7 - see pictures. Cool bar vibe on first floor - large upstairs and downstairs levels also. We tried a burger and wings both decently done. good service and ambiance.

Great small bar! The drinks were tasty and affordable. The bartender was friendly and honestly made quite the cocktail! She also was managing orders for a lot of people and was doing a really great job. The ambiance definitely is chill neighborhood bar after work. It has 2 levels and the top floor is a bit tight but had TVs with sports on for those who are interested in that. I had gone here on a Thursday actually for the Savage Comedy show! The show happens every thursday and was SO FUNNY. All of the comedians were really good and most stuck around after the show to drink/chat with the crowd which was cool. Would definitely recommend checking them out as well! They have an Instagram or are on Eventbrite.

Machete

Went to Logan's Run for a few drinks on Tuesday night. A spot that teeters between dive and cocktail bar, it a solid neighborhood hangout. Quality: I lean towards tequila and mezcal when it comes to my cocktails, so I was excited to see five different options at Logan's Run. During our visit I had sips of four of them included 8th Dimension, Machete, The Last Palabra, and the Cocktail Of The Week, which was Apple Cider and Mezcal. They were all decent drinks, but Machete was a cut above the rest. It was a mix of tequila, ancho reyes verde, ginger syrup, pineapple, and fresh lime. The menu also included a nice selection of wines and beers, in case cocktails were not what you were looking for. Quantity: They serve up strong, yet still tasty cocktails. Value: $11-$12 for their Cocktails. Ambiance: Logan's Run is located along 5th Avenue in Park Slope, Brooklyn. They have a very unique space, which includes several different areas. They have a few tables out front, which sit near the open window with hanging curtains. The main bar is found in the first indoor area and has about ten stools and a few televisions hanging over the bar. They also have both a downstairs area, which has an additional bar that is open on busy nights, and a funky outdoor space. At the main bar they were playing a terrible movie next to a great one, while fun alternative rock music played in the background. Crowd: About ten guests on Tuesday night, most of whom were sitting at the main bar, but a few who wandered downstairs. Service: Very friendly bartender who knew how to balance time between talkative regulars and other guests. Parking: Limited street parking in the area of 5th Ave.

The secretive downstairs with comfy seating is totally worth it. Also a cute back patio. Great drinks.

Cool ass spot in the middle of Park Slope with some serious bartenders. The juke box is on point.

What a lovely bar to sit in and relax and talk about your day with our large group of friends…read more Elsa is large, quiet, comfortable and inviting. We all had different cocktails and I asked for a shot of Don Julio Tequila which was "Far" from one shot - let's just say here at Elsa's they are VERY generous! This was perfect place to start our night as we were walking next door to the Yemeni restaurant where they serve no alcohol - not even a BYOB! Elsa's was the beginning staging area of our busy night.

I've been to this cocktail bar regrettably only twice even though I live (or rather lived upcoming…read moresoon) around the corner. It's classy but not too fancy and has enough space but doesn't get too loud. They have a nice happy hour menu from Tuesday-Friday from 5 to 7 as well as all day on Sundays which has very decent prices such as an $8 old fashioned among other things (see the photo.) the bartenders I've had before have been friendly with some good recommendations. Outside of their wide selection of cocktails which run the gamut of liquors, they have a nice wine selection, a handful of craft beers, and a very small food selection. The first time I was here, I had one drink which was the excellent Star of The Ice Snow for $17 with Iwai 45 whiskey, brie-washed Carpano Antica, Fernet Branca, barrel-aged orange bitters, and sassafras bitters. It had a a bit of bitterness, some sweetness, some spice, and some light mint from the fernet and was a pleasant complex drink and was certainly worth it from the price. The second time I was here was just this evening where I had two drinks. I first went with something that I was thinking of getting the first time which is their outstanding Vivian Darkbloom for $15 with Union mezcal, lime, pineapple, charcoal, Velvet Falernum, and lime bitters. The drink has mild citrusy sweetness as well a bit of smoke from the mezcal and is probably my favorite drink I've had here though the other drink I had the first time gives it stiff competition. I asked the bartender what he recommends and after a small discussion, he said either The Bell Witch (which is a gin and chartreuse cocktail with a strong herbal flavor) or what I went with. Said drink was the Under a Cosmic Cloak for $16 with rhubarb infused rum, Trois Rivieres rum, Smith & Cross rum, yerba mate, lime, grapefruit, and whey. The bartender said that it wouldn't be overly sweet as the rum was milk washed and this was indeed the case with just a mild sweetness and some fruitiness. There was a light herbal flavor otherwise presumably from the mate as well as a light citrus note and overall, it was good though definitely the least complex of the drinks I've tried and probably my least favorite but was definitely not a bad drink. The drinks here are reasonably priced for the quality, the bartenders are friendly, and it is classy but not overbearingly so. I can see why it's popular and I wish I stopped in more.

The service was also great as the bartender was quick and got us our next drinks as soon as he saw we finished our first one. During our visit, we tried the Matt's Ginger Old Fashioned, Brooklyn, Vulcano, and Palermo Fix. All cocktails were $14 each, which were all nicely made. The Brooklyn was very strong and the Old Fashioned is a nice classic with a hint of ginger flavor. The other two were lighter with twists of sour. They also offer some paninis, plus a toasted lard bread ($5) that we ordered. The lard bread is from Mazzola, which is absolutely delicious, but kind of sad that they only offer 4 pieces. Cool bar in the neighborhood with tasty drinks. It's such a simple, yet sophisticated bar. There's also a pool table in the back to enjoy.

The Neapolitan is my favorite. The only food items they have are a few panini's so don't come here expecting a full food menu. They have a pool table in the back and outdoor seating. The service is always quick and the bartenders know how to make a cocktail. Love coming here whenever I'm out and about in Caroll Gardens.
