Hmmm? Well I knew better from reading other reviews before I went to the Jackson Tennessee location. This is the first time that I've ever been to any Logan's. I arrived at around 8pm on a Sunday night. Not too busy with maybe 6 tables taken and just one couple and a solo guy and me at the bar. I ordered a rack of ribs with a salad. My salad was the best part of the meal. A half hour after I ordered another waitress came to inform me that they were out of ribs!! 30 minutes for them to figure this out. So I ordered the surf and turf. Over an hour after I arrived I finally had my meal in front of me. I overheard someone say that they were backed up in the kitchen with orders? Everyone had finished their meal and left. Three tables with customers. Yes, 3!! As for my meal? Shrimp was literally cold? And steak was about the size of a medallion and WELL done, not medium well as ordered. An order is NOT a request. Not impressed and I'll not be back. A typical middle of the road steakhouse chain. So for the class of restaurant and chain that it is I would say the meal was on par. Definitely not great or memorable but decent. If it was my choice I would not go here for a steak or nice dinner but for this particular meal it was not my choice...so off we went. That being said, I went with my parents and grandmother on Saturday evening around 5pm. Surprisingly, it was already busy. My dad and grandmother ordered steak and seemed to enjoy it ( but my tastes and food criticisms vary greatly from theirs). I ordered the wood grilled salmon with steamed broccoli and plain baked sweet potato. Not bad, very light; favorite part of the meal was the potato and bucket of peanuts. If you aren't picky and not wanting the best steak in town, Logan's is an option. Service is ok considering its mostly high school/college students for servers. If you want a decent "steakhouse" meal at a good price then you will find it here. read more

*Bar Review* My friend and I came here for drinks and hung out in the bar area. It was her first night out without her husband since having her baby 3 years ago so she was totally due for a girls' night. Shiloh was our bartender. She is friendly, on top of her game, and can make one hell of a margarita! I really enjoyed her serving us. I ordered 2 happy hour special margaritas salted and on the rocks. My friend ordered 2 happy hour frozen strawberry margaritas that she really enjoyed. She said it was not syrupy tasting like a lot of the time when she orders them. Pricing of the drinks are cheap. Happy hour happens during 2-4pm and then from 8-10pm. They offer drinks for $2-$6. There are 2 types of margaritas you can get. You can get the Cuevo Gold which is $4 or the $3 well tequila. Terrible service. I eat here about once a week, and I eat at the bar, and they are terrible. Never refill your drink. And either the kitchen is slow, or the bartenders always forget to get my food and I wait 20-40 min to eat. Every. Time. I'm friendly with them, cause I eat there so often, but god. Are they just terrible at service. Just because we're friendly doesn't mean I don't mind that you forget about me and take your time and never refill my drink. AND, I always order rare or med rare. Worst dining experience ever. We ordered and waited 45 minutes - no food. Waitress disappeared. There was no one else in the place eating. We arrived about 915 and finally walked out about 1030. Horrible experience. The service was slow and when we asked about our food we were told the kitchen ran out of tape so no food orders were seen. Our server then disappeared for ten minutes to attend a team meeting. Great timing for one of those. We left after an hour. Where to start... Me and a lifelong friend decided to eat here on a Saturday night, because there was no wait. Yeah, that should have been clue number one. The frumpy hostess sat us at the bar on a table that felt as though it had dried soap on it. That's the best way I can describe the unclean feeling. We sat there for about 13 minutes before the waitress took out drink order. We decided to hurry up and order when she came with the drinks in case she never came back. When the food came out 26 minutes later it was obvious it sat in the window for some time. The prime rib was very thin, very fatty and dry like a sponge. The shrimp were small and the rice pilaf they sat on were almost non-existent. The potato was plain, unlike the picture. My shrimp as well as my fries were on the very of being cooked enough. I just prayed we didn't get sick from it. We got ONE serving of 3 rolls for the 2 of us and only one refill of tea--lucky to get that much. Service was garbage and the food was bad. My husband planned a trip by train months ago; but once he got there due to hurricane Delta it was canceled. Consequently He was rerouted to Memphis and I drove down to pick him up and bring him home. We stopped in Jackson,Tn and made our first DoorDash order from Logan's. The food was cooked to perfection! Our Porterhouse and our grilled chicken were both flavorful and tender. We've eaten at High dollar steak houses around the country and this was by far one of the best we've ever had! Ugh I would never go back here. Based solely on food quality. My service was absolutely fine but nothing can be done for mediocre food. I have not been to a Logan's in maybe a year. We were one of the first tables seated that day. I expected the rolls to be fresh and piping hot from the oven but they were barely warm enough to melt the butter. We both ordered the Healthy and Hearty with the 6oz Sirloin on one of our meals we sub the steamed broccoli for grilled mushrooms. I am so glad that we did. The salad and those mushrooms were the best things we were served, since the steak did not taste good at all. Matter of fact I was a bit leery of even eating it because it also smelled bad. I don't think the meat was bad I think it was the seasoning they used. When I unwrapped my silverware the knife in it was nasty. Opened the next silverware and all of it was as clean as it should be. Extremely disappointed with last nights experience. While the service was lacking in several aspects, we were able to brush that off. The most critical flaw was the lack of Covid-19 safety protocol. As soon as we entered the restaurant we saw at least half the front of house staff not wearing their masks properly, or some not at all while in clear view of the customers near the To-Go station. The same goes for the kitchen staff who again could be seen from the front of the restaurant not wearing masks or not wearing them to cover their mouth AND nose. Specifically, our waitress came to our table several times without her mask covering her nose. As someone who works in hospitality under strict covid safety protocol, this was unacceptable and the lack of Covid safety frankly warrants a call to the CDC. read more

Also, the table was high off the ground where my sons high chair would be to low for him to consume food. Do not seat people with a high chair in the booths off the ground. I instead walked to a ground level clean booth and stayed we wanted that booth. Duh ! I could also see a salad station that was messy from our seat with a bunch of disenigrated creutons on top. Yuck! Buttermilk chicken tastes like 3 days old spoiled chicken and the batter coating was saltier than the Dead Sea. 5. The mango tea had an inch and a half of pure liquid sugar on the bottom. 6. The waiter barked our order back like we were at the McDonald's drive through. Felt cheap. 7. We were 6 people and were seated at a table made for 4- despite dozens of empty tables available to put together. I wish I could give 0 stars. Have always enjoyed going to Logan's in Jackson. This used to be a weekly occurrence for us but no more. Service was slow and they weren't busy at all. It's 3 pm on a Saturday and this place would normally be hopping. The new Texas Roadhouse must be taking business. Once we ordered it took 35 min for our food to arrive. No big deal, it takes time to cook food. But the waitress never came back to the table. The only person we saw was a lady who dropped off rolls and we asked to refill a water. Then the steak was more on the rare side than the medium well side of things. Sent it back and waited another 10 min. Once we get that it's still more medium that well but I was so hungry that I took it. Now for most folks it wouldn't matter that this was medium. That is how they prefer it. However I am pregnant and my waitress knew that as she commented "oh I was pregnant a few weeks ago". I ended up not being able to finish my 6 Oz sirloin because it was stringy, chewy, and my husband was worried it would make me sick. (FYI: it did.). This place was packed even on a Tuesday night. The hostess was pleasant, the waitress was super. I wish I had her name to recommend her. My wife and I each had the "Brewski" which is an 8 oz. ribeye, with beer dipped onion rings onion top, plus a baked potato. It was excellent! Also the pre-meal salad is a generous size with a most excellent homemade blue cheese dressing.
