I went to this Logan's today and the food was great and the service was outstanding, my waitress Allyson did an amazing job. Very kind and talkative. Made sure I had everything I need. She did a great job. 10/10 dinner, highly recommended read more

Most one star reviews don't actually type anything, so I think a lot of people disregard them and think it's just people angry because they paid so much money for lackluster food. So I'm going to include a rather lengthy review of the food that we ordered. The service that we got there will be a there will be a TLDR at the end. --- I came out for the first time that I went to a sit-down restaurant in well over 3 years, I brought my roommate in. This is the first time that we've went to a sit-down restaurant since they moved in all the way from Iowa, the environment was noisy but to be expected for the type of establishment that we were attending. Our waitress, Chesney was friendly. Well spoken. Made good suggestions. Spoke highly of the restaurant and the food kept our glasses filled and honestly I have nothing negative to say about her, even though we had a poor experience, I still tipped her fairly. I'll start by saying we ordered an appetizer, we got the fried pickles. They were good. Nothing that I would write home about but it is just a fried pickle. No complaints, again leading up to us getting our food. It took quite a while. The business was busy. I don't really mark that against them too heavily. We were given yeast rolls before our meal along with our appetizer so it's not like we were just sitting there. Starving. The real fun comes in whenever we finally got our food. The waitress brings the food to the table, then fairly quickly has to run off to help another table that's waving her in, my roommate had ordered a fried chicken sandwich and I ordered some barbecue ribs at the suggestion of our waitress, the description of the ribs is that they came covered in sauce and I had asked if she could ask the staff to spice it up just a little bit as she said they were fairly sweet and they really don't serve anything that you could call "spicy". That is another point that I don't really hold against them as I chose to go to a place that's on me. After Chesney walked away, I tried one of the ribs. Not only was it almost entirely devoid of anything that you could call a sauce, it was literally so overcooked that bits of it would get stuck in your teeth, flavor wise for the sauce that was congealed on it. Not terrible but overall some of the worst ribs I think I've ever had, which is saying a lot for being in Cookeville. My roommate's sandwich was so dark from the initial presentation that they had thought it was burnt, the breading on it was cooked so hard that they ultimately had to use a knife to chisel it off of it to even eat it. So what was supposed to be a chicken sandwich turned into? Let's excavate the amount of chicken that we can eat off of this thing. For what it's worth, besides, the fries were nothing amazing! Just french fries. You could eat them. I ate them. It is what it is, I ordered broccoli. The broccoli was seasoned well and I was able to eat that as well. But for $20, a small side of fries and some broccoli feels like a scam, so I offered to pay for the sides but said that I could not eat the ribs and did not want to pay for them. Chesney goes back speaks with the manager, comes out is incredibly apologetic, I'm not sure the conversation that she had but the manager offered to cover my ribs, not the sandwich, so my roommate tuffed through it to eat as much as they could because it felt like a waste of money otherwise, took the rest home to try to eat later but ultimately after microwaving it we threw it out. I had to stop at Casey's on the way home to grab a chicken sandwich, and basically gas station food for the night that was supposed to be the first night out in years. Now I'm writing this one star not just because of this experience, not because I'm a disgrad old one-time customer passing through town or something like that, but because years ago the last time I was able to get out to a sit-down restaurant, I chose this place, this is a restaurant that I used to come to with a former friend group that is all but grown apart, tons of fond memories eating here with family back in the day, and I'm spoiled by looking at nostalgia I suppose. The restaurant that I remember is long since dead, and what is left in its wake? This overcooked stringy partially burnt with only a light speckle of the delicious seasoning that used to exist, Left mostly charred, disfigured, and just a ghost of its former self. I don't need to change your mind if you enjoy this place, I don't even want to, I'm really glad that you like it. Unfortunately, it's no longer a place for me. --- TLDR: both my ribs in my roommates chicken sandwich were overcooked, we were all for the partial refund, we paid for a sandwich that half of it could not be eaten. That is all read more

We stopped here on our way home. This place delivers precisely what it promises: a lively, casual, roadhouse-themed steak-and-grill experience. Walking in, you're greeted by the signature rustic wooden decor, energetic country music, and the unmistakable buckets of peanuts at every table (with shells encouraged on the floor, which is all part of the fun). The atmosphere was very upbeat and family-friendly, making it a good, reliable spot for a relaxed weeknight dinner. The menu is straightforward American fare, with a clear focus on grilled steaks. Their ribeye is a popular choice, usually cooked to a respectable char and tenderness for the price point. The real star of the show, however, might be the complimentary bucket of warm, buttery yeast rolls that arrives at the table--they are famously addictive. Sides are classic steakhouse options, like loaded baked potatoes and sautéed mushrooms, which are generally well-prepared. Service is typically friendly and attentive, embodying the restaurant's casual Southern hospitality vibe. My wife had the teriyaki grilled chicken with steamed broccoli, and I opted for the 20 oz Porterhouse, Medium Rare with a loaded baked potato and a Club salad with Thousand Island Dressing. Food was served hot with no issues. While it is not what everyone would consider a high-end, gourmet dining experience, Logan's in Cookeville is a dependable choice for a satisfying steak, great rolls, and a fun, unpretentious atmosphere. read more

I have been a fan of Logan's for a long long time. Excited when we found this one. Service was ok. The server was sweet but I felt like we were bothering her for things. My granddaughter was so excited about having a steak that she order it medium rare. What she got was a medium steak. They redid it. Then her complaint was that it tasted freezer burn. But she didn't want to say anything. I had the coconut shrimp and it wasn't bad. The loaded baked was good. But the broccoli was disgusting. Over cooked and mushy. I learned to eat broccoli at Logan's when they added lemon to it. very sad. The little kid had chicken fingers and rice and wasn't happy with the rice. Hubs ate the ribs, chicken fingers, sweet potato. And salad that came almost after the meal. Now that was good. He said his food was ok. What a disappointment. read more

Logan's is a great family restaurant ! Great food , high end dining experience, a splurge on occasion for my daughter and I

Terrible food... I figured it would be edible and how wrong can you go with a burger or cheese sticks. The marinara was crusty and dry on top. The chicken was chewy and potato salad is completely the wrong seasoning... what was in this nutmeg or cinnamon? read more

Sorry but run away from this place. Came here from out of town after a family event and they messed up almost everyone's food. Salad doused in soggy dressing. Steak burnt. Burgers came out overcooked yet came out cold. Tasted like a microwave TV dinner. Service INCREDIBLY slow. Dark and muggy. Sticky floors. With a billion other restaurants in Cookeville, please do yourself a favor and choose some place else. read more

Yes! A thousand times yes...Now let me give you the reason why. Cayleigh... for one. She is just one of the amazing staff you will find here. The food is always fresh and hot. The flavors from any of the dishes are amazing. My husband ordered the grilled chicken salad, but as you can see, it is enough for two easily! I had the teriyaki grilled chicken with steamed broccoli for both my sides. Yes, they have broccoli that taste that good! We've tried just about all the appetizers, and they are all nice portions, so plenty to share. They do have a full bar that you can sit at, or they have booths to sit at as well. I will have to say anytime an issue came up with our order, which happens sometimes no matter where you go, they take care of you here. They really appreciate their customers! read more

We brought mom here tonight to celebrate her . He ordered potato skins with the works for an appetizer. She ordered the Fried Fish ; he ordered the Cheese Burger; and I ordered the Coastal South Carolina Shrimp with Caesar salad and rice. The potato skin appetizer picked up by another server and given the another table. So our waiter had to place our appetizer order again. Our waiter(the bartender)was good . Salad dressing was too heavy on both salads. Mesquite grilled Shrimp was perfect. Mom's fish was overcooked. The steamed broccoli was overcooked. His cheese burger was a little overcooked. But still good. Overall a decent experience. read more

We went today and had a delicious meal. Our waiter was very friendly and welcoming. Our food was tasty as always. I highly recommend the mesquite wood grilled salmon with a rice pilaf, Caesar salad, and a loaded baked potato. The employees were wearing masks, and the guests were being seated apart from others. Something we really liked was that even the cow by the door was wearing a mask. The kids got a kick out of that. read more

Normally I give places a second chance but I wont be back here again to do so. i ordered a medium pink center steak. I was picking up to go, so I didn't notice how bad it was until I got home and saw that my steak wasnt even cooked at all. This aint even rare, its raw. As you can see in the pictures the meat is absolutely RAW. And i had eaten it abit off the "cooked" edges before noticing how bad it was and opened up the meat nd saw how raw it was inside. Either the cook is completely inexperienced or they just didnt care to cook the steak properly. But this was not even a "rare" steak. It was raw. Uncooked. The cook in my opinion isn't experienced or they just didnt care to cook it properly. I wouldn't recommend going here at all. i paid over $40 dollars for a steak I couldnt even eat. read more

A HUGE shout out to our server Dillon this afternoon! Great service, very personable and very friendly.

Miranda the evening Mgr at Logans Manchester is amazing. I was so sick and my husband drove me an hour forty five mins to get there to get Logans mashed potatoes and they were out. Miranda made me the VERY BEST POTATOES I HAVE EVER EATEN out of baked potatoes. Thank you to the best Mgr Logans has read more

We ordered the onion rings (new item) off the fireside menu, and when they arrived, what we received was a semi greasy lump of fried onions on the plate. There were a couple of solo pieces, but most of the onion was a fused lump that resisted separation. We asked the server to take it back for a replacement, but he explained that that is how they cooked them there. We asked they remove them as we were expecting separate pieces of onion, similar to what was pictured...how disappointing. For my meal I ordered the fried fish...which was basically fish and chips (I had ordered the same dish last week that was yummy). Apparently the fish was fried in old or burnt oil, as it had a bad, burned after taste. By that point I didn't want bother our server again, as he was nice, efficient and apologetic for the onion ring debacle. My wife had a steak salad that was huge and awesome (according to her) read more

Came for dinner , service slow for them having a basically empty parking lot. Anyways food came, was pretty good, got the bill after hubs plate taken and she wanted my plate before I was done, and hubs was beyond shocked that his 22 oz Miller lite was $12.00, and they charged us $6 for the crappy little dinner rolls.$70 for dinner for ??? We are at Logan's in texas and it was wonderful. This was not a great experience at this location. The wait staff was pleasant but the food was hit or miss. The first basket is bread was not fully cooked. It was like the take and bake rolls at the store. The replacement was very good. We ordered a medium rare and medium steak. The rare was under Cooked and the medium was Medium well. We also had fried chicken that was over fried. It tasted fine but not great. The soups and salads were good but it was a disappointing experience for a steak house. read more

Teryaki chicken n rice is always perfectly cooked and seasoned! Fun place to go with n Game Day too!

Oh it hurts when we adventure to a new restaurant and it isn't as good as we had hoped. Our waitress, fantastic! Great job. Where it falls flat, is the cook. My ribeye was really good. There was a spinach cheese type sauce that tasted like it might have had lime in it. Did not go well together. (remember, for me and my tastes). Others might like that combo. But the steak was good very well (medium rare, closer to rare) and soft, with little gristle, and not overly fatty. I ate half, my son ate the other half. Unfortunately, my son ordered the t-bone steak and it was so bad that he took three bites and just said "no, mom". So we took it home so my husband can chop it up and mix it with something else. The Potato soup was decent, not overly thick, and I enjoyed it. The spinach artichoke was good. The buns are slightly too sweet for me, as opposed to the warm savory, non-sweet dinner buns I prefer. I am sure they have many excellent items that taste great on most nights, we unfortunately did not have our meal on one of those nights. We may or may not try again. We usually give a place two tries before we say "no more". But if you go, and you try something that is fantastic, please, please, please send me a message and let me know what it is, and we might go back and give it a try. read more

My husband and I were here on Saturday night. He ordered a steak medium. When it came it was nearly raw. Sent it back to be cooked. We were finished with our entire meal before they brought it back. I was driving home with 2 hours more to go in my trip, but craving a steak. I placed my to-go order and waited. After 20 minutes, the manager told me they had lost my order, and it would be another 10 mins. He did comp the whole meal, which was very nice and the right thing to do. Unfortunately, the steak was mostly gristle, and had a strange, spoiled flavor. read more

Horrible confession on my part. We eat at a ton of Logan's. What can I say? I love a good yeast roll! Placed a order on Uber Eats first order got canceled the second time I order I got the wrong food. Avoid this place

l gave one star because you can't give negative ratings, it probably deserves negative ten. I got the potato soup, tasted like it went bad, friend got the salad, dirty lettuce and really dry chicken. Kids' burger was smaller then my already thinning patience for this place. Soda was watered down, chips were stale and soggy. They order of fries were less then a handful. Overall not great experience, service was nice but they only came to take our order and give the check. read more

We ordered a full rack of ribs and the new appetizer chicken wings. They didn't bring the sauce that was suppose to come with it so we had to ask. The 'ribs only' were charged as a full meal so we had to bring that to the attention of the server. She corrected the problem.....but we shouldn't of had to bring it up in the first place. My husband had to ask for the fresh rolls too. We started eating the chicken wings and realized we didn't have napkins or silverware. WE HAD TO ASK. My Southern Hurricane drink was listed to have Southern Comfort, Bacardi Rum with fresh fruit. Honestly, if it was suppose to only have the two alcohols and fresh fruit, I should of tasted alcohol . It's was so sweet. It tasted like punch and my fresh fruit was a slice of orange and Maraschino cherry and not a whole one at that. I didn't know that falls under fresh fruit. I was generous with the two stars due to the fact the wings and ribs were very good. I believe the server we had in the bar had to many tables. She was walking as fast as she could and think if she could run through the restaurant she would have. An extra person on a Saturday night would of been a great help to her. read more

Came here after the titans game with my friend, had been on the road for hours and we both were starving and really looking forward to a nice burger. Came here expecting to get one since I've always liked Logan's , instead we were both served two extremely overcooked and dry burgers, with stale buns as hard as a rock. The waitress was fine, didn't have a problem with the service but overall extremely disappointed in my experience here, will not be coming back. read more

If you're looking for a fast food restaurant or a chain restaurant there's no better place to come that alongside the interstate in Cookeville. Every chain you could think of is crammed into a one mile section here. Logan Roadhouse is one of dozens. Why come here vs any of the others? I'm not sure. The service is below average (it took 10 minutes for someone to come by and claim our table) and the food is your average chain food. Meanwhile, the bar are does have awesome flatscreens to watch games, which is a big plus for those who don't want to go to Buffalo Wild Wings. As for the food, if you like Chilis, Fridays and Applebees, you'll fit in here. There's nothing amazing on the menu and nothing terrible, either. It's average burgers, chicken, steaks, etc, and if that's your thing, this is your spot. Everything is priced fair, tastes fair and you'll leave feeling full, without having spent too much money and without a burning desire to return. Fortunately, you won't have anything negative to say, either, except maybe about the service. read more

Had a bad experience here around a year ago. So I stopped going. Decided to give it a try today..... I was seated, I waited 14 minutes and nobody asked me what I wanted to drink or acknowledged my presence. I got up and walked out. I stopped by the host stand and informed her there was a reason the parking lot was empty. It's a shame the place has went down hill. It was my favorite for years. read more

The worst food I have ever had. The prime rib was very tough and had large amount of connective tissue in it. The au jus was just regular beef broth. Over-all the sweet potato was the best item on the plate. read more
