Christine’s Kitchen - Southern Fried deliciousness

The service is usually very friendly - they have no problem joking around with you...no dry personalities reciting from corporate requirements, here. One particular occasion, we called a to-go order in and they had sold out of peaches and cream fried corn on the cobb (which is to die for). The sweetheart on the phone literally went to the Winn Dixie across the street and purchased some, so I could have it along with their fantastic, hand pattied burger. How do you ask for better service than that? You can't. Their chicken and dressing is excellent, the hoe cakes are straight out of my childhood and the catfish....the huge, plate covering pieces of delicious white meat (no slimy stuff in theirs...looking at you, chain restaurants) are my absolute favorite. We've always had overwhelmingly positive experiences at Christine's and can't wait to go back. We've been there when they're short staffed and I've had to resist the urge to ask if I can help them when I see them running around like crazy. Instead of griping when something isn't perfect, maybe figure out how you could help? It's not like they are expensive. We have no trouble grabbing our own extra napkins or going to them to ask for butter or a drink refill, ourselves. This has only happened 1-2x but cut them some slack. You're getting good food at a really good price - maybe don't be so high maintenance. Or, go to a Michelin rated restaurant, instead, if you want your every whim indulged, the moment you have it. As for us, we'll happily keep Christine's as one of our favorite local spots and return as often as possible.

Amazing meeting and three reasonably priced definitely recommend, I will be back. The whole cakes…read moreare amazing. They even offer a sugar-free pie.

Our experience was awesome!…read more Our server ( sorry, I cant remember her name, but she had blond hair). She was the sweetest server and always kept checking on us. I had the Trout plate which was actually salmon (the server explained everything before I decided on my order). This was a perfect size, perfectly cooked piece of salmon that I can honestly say was the best I have had at a restraunt!! It was layed on top of a bed of yellow and green squash and halfed green olives all cooked in the perfect season for this plate. My husband had the pork chop which Im not a pork fan, but I can say it was very tasty and moist. It was served with homemade kettle chips and a bowl of baked beans that my husband and I agreed could be made into its own meal if the bowl was bigger because tge baked beans were out of this world. We will be back 1000% to try some more options and if they are tasty as these Farm House will be added to our top 5 restraunts in Nashville and we will be bringing company that visits us in TN to this restaurant!! Love this place!!

Cute small restaurant and hostess greeted us warmly and got seated. Drinks - nice selection including some of their own bourbon and shine. Everything tasted fresh and delicious. Food - had fun trying a variety. We had appetizers (fried green tomatoes and spinach dip), broccoli cheddar soup, burgers and chicken cordon blue. Only minor complaint was the soup wasn't quite hot enough but everything tasted so great we were pleased. Service- our waitress hustled and the staff all worked together to keep things moving. Would definitely recommend!

Sad to see, I'm not sure outside of the obvious recession if that is playing a part but the customers were there, however the complete lack of service was not. We got water 30 minutes after I complained, tables full of people or full of trash. Food came at the 2 hour mark and we watched group after group leave. Only sandwiches on menu now and fries well they took order for it but served fried tomatoes which we also had as an appetizer, said they didn't have any fries. No one paid attention to anyone unless you were sitting at the bar for drinks. Unfortunately once a place we enjoyed will not go back to. Everything Changed and the Resturaunt seems it's sadly on its way out. Just my opinion.

This was an amazing and memorable experience! I was searching Yelp to get information for my…read moreupcoming vacation. When booking a tour, Miss Mary Bobo's restaurant was featured. We made reservations on their website, prepayment required to receive a confirmation. There are nine dining rooms, we were seated at a round table with a "Lazy Susan" in the center. The table for set for 12 people, large casserole dishes were plated and ready at 1PM sharp. Ms. Carolyn was the "Host" for our meal, she had a reserved seat at our table and was very engaging. She told stories and gave us a brief history of the restaurant and Miss Mary Bobo. There were two "servers" that are students at a nearby college. They delivered impeccable service and quick to refill drinks (ice tea, lemonade, coffee, and water) without being prompted. The casserole dishes were continuously brought out as soon as an item was almost finished. There was plenty of food, we did not run out of anything. It certainly was a nice touch to have a "Host" at our table, it really did feel like it was a family get together. Each guest gave a brief introduction on where they were visiting from. The decor in our dining room resembled a country home, complete with a mantle and China cabinet. This was a real Southern hospitality experience at its finest! If you know any place similar to this, please let me know! MENU on 10.13.26 (in alpha order): - Biscuits - Dessert - Chess Pie with a dollop of whipped cream. - Fried Chicken (moist, not greasy or overly-fried) - Fried Okra - Green Beans - Macaroni and Cheese - Mashed Potatoes - Pork Loin in a light gravy sauce - Spiced Apples (with a drizzle of Jack Daniel's Whiskey) NOTES: 1. The usual schedule is two seatings per day at 11AM or 1PM in Lynchburg, TN, which was more than 90 minutes away from our hotel. On holidays or special occasion, a third seating may be added. 2. Advance reservations and full payment was required in order to confirm the date and time of our lunch. Good idea to avoid "no shows" or cancelations. 3. Gift shop on the main floor 4. Free Parking Most Sincerely, Rosemary, from Southern California
