My first question is WHY? WHY DID I WAIT SO LONG TO COME HERE?!? The food was PHENOMENAL. Came in on a Wednesday night and there was a wait to be seated. That should've been my first clue that everything was going to be GREAT. I wanted a mock tail as I was driving, I settled with the peach lemonade. It was the perfect amount of sweet and I didn't feel left out because it was so beautiful, no one would've known it wasn't a craft cocktail. My table ordered the blackened sea scallops. They were cooked so perfectly. For entrees my table had the Asian salad with tuna and the Gorgonzola steak. I am very particular when it comes to the temperature of my steak and it was a perfect medium rare. Everything was wonderful from start to finish, including the service. Service was terrible. I asked if I could sit outside on the patio area, I was by myself. Kind hostess said "sit wherever you'd like". I sit at a two seat table, and an older waitress says "can I get you a drink". I said "no thanks I'm getting food". She says if you're not getting a drink, you have to sit at the bar." Which seemed very strange, but ok. So after kicking me out of the table, I sit at the bar. The waitress takes my order, brings my food, and never comes back. 20 minutes later I asked the hostess if someone could bring my check. Went there on a Saturday night at 5pm was told a 90 minutes wait. Fine. We wait. 45 minutes into the wait a couple comes in that knows the hostess. No name on the wait list. And gets sat right away. While other customers like myself have to wait for 90 minutes. Apparently the wait list isn't for everyone and they play favorites. I wouldn't give this restaurant my business again. And it's too bad because they do have good food but How unprofessional!!!! ETA: To reply to the owners response. I know that occurs and they call people back. That is NOT what happened here. Tried this place for lunch yesterday. Anything with pizza and beer will always appeal to me. Place looks brand new and has a comfortable relaxed feel and vibe to it. Friendly greeting upon entering. Bar seating toward the kitchen and tables and high tops to the left upon entering. A good size spot downtown. Great beer list and tried the Wachusett's Brewing's Frosty Day IPA. Very good. Started w the potato and kale soup with a sausage base. Delicious. Perfect on a cold day. Ordered their margarita pizza. Great quality ingredients with a great taste to the crushed tomatoes and great mozzarella. Definitely a pizza for one or snack for two. The menu has plenty of options for everyone. What a great discovery!! Delicious and fun! The Korean tuna w/friend kimchi was amazing. As was the fresh mushroom pizza. We'll be back! The service was terrific & it had a great ambience. We had to wait for a table for a bit, but it was totally worth it. Sitting at the bar is usually the only option for single diners. Parties of 3 and 4 are not sitting at the bar at Logans. Went there at 6:00 last night as I usually do and was told I had to check in with hostess. Hostess said there was over an hour wait to sit at the bar. Wouldn't an hour wait mean I was waiting for people to leave their bar seats? The bars seats were empty and people waiting for tables were sitting on the bench and chairs in the entry. So I left and went to a restaurant where single diners are welcome to sit at empty seats at a bar. I won't be back and not bringing my friends and relatives there anymore either. Very disappointing. read more
