Grated cheese
John B.

Walked in greeted right away by a friendly face. Was seated was fairly busy for a Saturday prime time a couple large parties made it a bit loud all in good fun. Place is decent in size and looked clean Ordered the stuffed mushrooms were really good waitress was attentive and smiling brought me some crusty bread and oil so good I ate it all shhh my meal eggplant Parmesan with ziti and meat sauce. Was delicious although I only had 2 bites of the eggplant because I over did it with bread. Lol don't judge. I'll eat the eggplant for lunch tomorrow I asked for cheese. You know the grated kind we all like on our pasta dishes? Instead of a shaker or an actual grater I was given a small to go cup with a lid I thought was a bit odd. But all in all a really good meal and experience I will return. Sauce was the boss

The clam linguini I ended up ordering
Drdd1606 ..

So we went in and were waiting around to be seated, at least three different people looked at us, no one aknowledged us. Finally after waiting a about three minutes, someone did comment someone will be with you. We waited another minute or so until we were seated. So we ordered the stuff mushrooms they were good, especially with the dipping oil sprinkle on top. So now comes dinner hubby ordered homemade gnocchi, best he says he has ever had. I ordered clam linguini. So my idea of clam linguini and what I got where two totally different things. What I recieves was what tasted like pasta from a box, with clams from a can, and no white wine sauce. Instead, it tasted like butter with clam juice and garlic. What I thought I was ordering was fresh linguini with 3-4 whole clams with maybe some fresh vegetables on it sprinkled with some fresh grated cheese So, needless to say, didn't get any dinner. Then after saying no I will not be bringing it home. It took quite awhile to get a check. And the place wasn't really busy both when we got there and when we where ready to leave.

Chocolate Lava Cake. I ordered it to take home. It was very small and to dry and dense.

The GazBar Sports Grill - My Rueben with homemade chips

I yelped area restaurants and this was the first one I came to that was open on Sundays and sounded promising. When we arrived the parking lot was pretty full so that was a good sign. Inside the restaurant was definitely smaller than it looked from the outside and the sign at the hostess station said 'seat yourself'. We found a table for 6 and waited a little while before someone noticed us. My husband and I both ordered the Rueben sandwich, he got fries and I got homemade chips with mine. The others ordered fish and chips and some kind of steak wrap. The young teen ordered pizza and fries (no surprise there). We got a chili, mozzarella sticks and nachos for appetizers. We enjoyed everything except the teen said the pizza wasn't really good, one of the adults tried it and said it wasn't good and tasted like a Celeste frozen pizza. We would definitely stop again if we were in the area.

My wife and I, along with another couple, celebrated New Year's Eve at Anna's Table this year. The…read morerestaurant had been on my list for quite some time, as I had heard consistently positive things, and the reviews seemed to support that reputation. In the grand scheme of things, a disappointing restaurant experience isn't the end of the world. That said, as a consumer, I do expect the quality of both food and service to be commensurate with the prices charged. I also understand that restaurants can be overwhelmed on holidays--but I firmly believe that management has a responsibility to accept only as many reservations as the staff and kitchen can reasonably handle. Upon arrival, the location felt a bit unusual, as the restaurant sits on the first floor of what appears to be a senior condo building. Not a negative, just an observation. Parking was easy, and once inside, I genuinely liked the vibe. The space is upscale, well-designed, cozy, and comfortable. It's a large restaurant broken into several rooms, each with half-round booths and its own bar with plenty of seating. Atmospherically, Anna's Table does a lot right. Our reservation was for 6:30 p.m., but we weren't seated until around 7:15. Given that it was New Year's Eve, this wasn't a deal breaker. It then took some time for our server to arrive. When she did, she brought bottles of still and sparkling water that had been filtered and bottled in-house. The water was excellent and a very nice touch. The restaurant was offering a special holiday menu with a good range of options--meat, fish, and vegetarian dishes--with most entrées priced around $30. We ordered cocktails, which took quite a while to arrive. The server mentioned that the bar was extremely backed up. Unfortunately, when my drink did arrive, it was incorrect. The server apologized and took it back, but instead of waiting at the bar to have it remade and promptly delivered, I waited an additional 20 minutes for the correct drink. (All I wanted was a Tioto's vodka martini with no vermouth, which was clearly communicated and confirmed with the server when I ordered it. It arrived dirty with vermouth....) We placed our appetizer and entrée orders. One appetizer was a cup of chowder. After roughly 40 minutes, the appetizers arrived--except the chowder. We were informed that they had run out. While it seemed odd to run out so early in the evening, the bigger issue was that we were not informed ahead of time or offered a substitute before the other appetizers were delivered. That should have been handled proactively. The appetizers themselves were good overall--salads, tuna sashimi, etc.--though the tuna should have been served chilled rather than warm. For entrées, we ordered chicken parm, steak tips, and a pork chop. They arrived about an hour after we finished our appetizers, which felt excessive. Once again, we were told the kitchen was backed up. The chicken parm was disappointing: the chicken was chewy, and the pasta was dry, as if it had been plated and left under a heat lamp too long. The steak tips were acceptable, and my pork chop was fine in flavor, but it arrived about ten minutes after the rest of the table had been served. The explanation was that the chef was waiting for the chop to come to temperature. Unfortunately, this resulted in an awkward dining experience for our group--and the chop itself ended up overcooked and tough. In the end, our experience was poor at best. While Anna's Table certainly looks like a place well-suited for a special occasion, we all left disappointed after spending roughly $200 per couple and more than three hours at the restaurant. I did share my concerns with a (suited) gentleman who appeared to be the manager, as he was greeting tables later in the evening while we were walking out. It would have been far more reassuring to see management actively present earlier--monitoring service flow, kitchen timing, and guest satisfaction--rather than only as the night was winding down. Ultimately, restaurant leadership failed in managing capacity. It was evident not only from our experience but also from conversations around us. One nearby couple joked that they were wondering if they should ask for a breakfast menu given the wait times. While Anna's Table is aesthetically appealing, there is significant work to be done to deliver an experience that justifies its pricing.
