Love this place! Very cozy people and environment here. They also have big birds outside.

We drove down today from CC for breakfast and honestly did not expect the kind service and really good food. The pancaked were pretty great, the kind with the crispy edges but super thick and fluffy. We enjoyed the food only downside was the wait, with one cook anytime you gave more than three tables it can get backed up.

Oh Yum!!! What a gem in the tiny town of Klamath. The diner is directly off the 101 and you will miss it if not keeping an eye out. It is ran by wonderful ladies that have quick wit and make you comfortable the second you walk in the door. Great home style cooking with fresh ingredients. The diner is clean and well appointed. They are obviously proud of what they have. Ample parking is available and there is counter seating along with a small front and larger rear dining room. We will definitely return if in the area again.

Excellent service from Sheri and just as wonderful food, we came in on a rainy morning in march to a lovely diner ready to serve and bring out a smile. The small homey feel of the diner has logging and fishing ambiance from its rich historic past. Highly recommended this this establishment if you're coming through the area.

Almost perfect Eggs Benedict, high praise as I'm crazy picky. Sorry, dove right in before realizing I might want to recommend it to others.

Ate here this afternoon after parking in their lot and walking up to the 'tour thru tree'. I was hungry for french fries, so I schmoozed hubby to pop in for just fries & a drink. Well, we were greeted as if we were regulars by the adorable curly blonde lady (embarrassed I've already forgotten her name). I smelled the coffee and had to have a cup, which turned into a pot by the time I left! Hubby was thrilled to discover breakfast is served all day, so we decided to eat a meal instead of just fries. Hubby ordered the French Toast full breakfast. I'm extremely picky about Eggs Benedict, but decided to give it a whirl. I was thrilled with my choice to risk it...they were close to perfect. The hollandaise was wonderful and the eggs were great, the yolk a tiny bit too 'done', but still great. Hubby scarfed his down...when asked how it was, he said 'great'! We interacted with both servers & they were both so kind. I felt like we were regulars, which I adore! My only regret is that we have been staying in a near-ish campground for the last 2 weeks and just now found this spot! We leave for Oregon tomorrow, so we won't be back for a couple years...had we found this place sooner, we would be leaving several pounds heavier, as I figure the rest of the menu is just as tasty! Big huge plus on the friendly staff!

Country fried steak and eggs with toast and hash

The food, service, and ambience of this little diner is the best in the town! So glad we decided to stop by for breakfast after our hike. Definitely 10/10 recommend if you are in the area. The food: I ordered the Clam Chowder with a side salad and received a thoughtful cup of dried cranberries and dressing on the side which I so appreciated!); the clam chowder was very meaty and full of flavor--this was exactly what I needed after our rainy and cold morning hike! So delish! I would definitely order this again or even an extra to go. My husband ordered the country fried steak and eggs over easy along with toast and hash. Everything was perfectly made. This was also the first time we've seen pork chop used for this dish and were very surprised how moist the pork chop was! We ordered The Cabin burger for my son and he said this was his favorite dish/burger for the entire trip! So good! For my little guy, we ordered the kids cheeseburger with fries--my photo is the fries partially eaten already because he was so hungry he couldn't wait for me to take a food picture (lol). I didn't take a photo of the other dishes, but everyone did agree this was our favorite stop of the trip! The service: We were greeted and accommodated right away. The ladies running the shop were kind, respectful, and attentive. We were a group of 12 (6 kids and 6 adults) but that wasn't a problem. There was a long wait for the food, but we didn't mind since we knew there was only one chef and 12 of us--we were also checked on frequently and we always received refills for our coffee and drinks. We were asked each time if there was anything else we needed while we waited for our food. The chef even offered to redo our bacon for us if we'd like since it was a little on the crispy side, but that was exactly how our kids preferred their bacon--so kind and attentive! The ambience: This little diner is the perfect quiet and secluded small town stop. It wasn't packed and it felt really relaxed. The extra touch of emu and hummingbirds outdoors gave this diner an extra special vibe, too! Absolutely recommend stopping by and eating here.

We were on vacation in Arcata seeing the redwoods when we decided to drive up into the mountains. We had been driving for over an hour and were getting pretty hungry (as was our 9 yo). Upon review of our available options we decided to try out the Log Cabin Diner in Klamath. We were not disappointed. Overall the food was good and the service was great. We had the biscuits and gravy and our son had the chili (a bold move). We are just about everything they put in front of us. None of it was exceptionally great food but it sure hit the spot. The best part for us was the emus they have in a field next to the restaurant. They were walking along the fence line right behind us and were a lot of fun to watch. If you find yourself up in the mountains and need a bit to eat then this is the place for you.

While visiting the Redwood State Parks, we had breakfast here twice. The food here tastes homemade and the service is great! My wife enjoyed her Eggs Benedict, my daughter enjoyed her pancakes and all of us enjoyed the eggs and Hash Browns. Coffee was hot and our food came out quickly. We rarely go back to the same restaurant twice when on vacation so this place is unique. If you stop by, ask for some bread to feed the emus!

Biscuits & Gravy

Great service and food!! Ordered the Chicken Fried Steak & Biscuits and Gravy was so amazing. Portions are generous! Didn't need to add salt or pepper flavor was on point. Coffee was so delicious! Staff shared photos and stories. Love this place!

Highly recommend this small town diner. All day breakfast, great customer service, and the food hit the spot. Thanks, Ms. Rachel; my son really enjoyed feeding your emu.

If you are driving through the redwoods, this cafe is a decent option for basic diner food…read more The decor is traditional forest diner style. The tables are made out of cross-sections of trees. There are taxidermied animals around the place and forest scenes on the walls. There is a small bar (so have a drink with your meal!) and a lot of room for parties of all sizes. They even have some merchandise available. One of my greatest regrets from my recent trip is that I didn't grab one of the hoodies. As for food, I will start by saying that the food I saw go out to other tables really looked great. The burgers were large, the fries were cooked crispy, and the fish and chips was HUGE. Like. Enormous. If you are looking for standard diner fare, there are a lot of attractive options here. We are not always looking for standard diner fare, though, and try to get something gluten free and high protein when possible. There were not a lot of gluten free options, which was a bummer. But I did have the berry spinach salad. The spinach was fresh, the strawberries were on their way out. The candied pecans and the dressing were yummy. The biggest downside for me was that the chicken was cold. My husband pointed out that the grill lines resembled what you would see on packaged pieces of grilled chicken. The flavor was fine, but I was expecting a freshly grilled chicken breast so the straight cold meat was not optimal for me. It's on me that I didn't ask. If you are looking for gluten free options with the salad, make sure to ask about the chicken, as some frozen/packaged chicken is not gluten free. My husband had the tomato soup, which he enjoyed. The kids menu was decent as well. Overall a positive experience, especially given that there isn't a lot else around.

The food itself was pretty good overall, although the fried fish had an actual pool of grease at the bottom of the basket. It seemed like there was only one waiter on staff, and that he would really rather be doing something else. He mostly avoided the tables, walking very slowly when it was time to take the order of the table next to us. He then slowly walked right past our table, as if we didn't exist. At no point did anyone check in on us. Our water was long gone, and there wasn't even anybody to ask to come refill it. They never gave us utensils either, so we had to eat everything with our bare hands. Eventually, the waiter sauntered over, and said "are you guys done?" I pointed out that we never got utensils, and asked for more water. He eventually returned with both, and then disappeared for another 20 minutes. Even when we told the busser that we were ready to pay the check, it took a long time for our wait or to reappear. Waiting tables isn't an easy job. I know that from experience. The food was pretty decent, so it seems like the kitchen has their act together. But the front of the house really seemed like they wanted to be *anywhere* else.

The staff at Trinidad Bay Eatery were all exceptionally kind and appeared to genuinely engage with their guests. The atmosphere is exactly what one would hope for in a coastal eatery. We ordered clam chowder, fish and chips, and a chicken ciabatta sandwich. The chowder was excellent and among the top chowders I've ever enjoyed. The fish and chips were plentiful and the quality and thickness of the fish were unmatched. My wife thoroughly enjoyed her sandwich and fries with a California branded malt vinegar. We HIGHLY recommend stopping by!

Okay, fine -- maybe dogs aren't allowed in certain areas, not a big deal. So we figured we'd just order the food to go instead. Nope. Two days in a row we were told they couldn't do takeout. At that point, it just felt like there was zero flexibility or willingness to work with customers. That's really disappointing, especially for a place with such a good reputation. Unfortunately, the lack of flexibility is what lost us.
