Worst customer service ever. There were at least four employees on the sales floor and only two customers in the store, including me. Both of us were waiting at the counter to purchase our items. Despite all of the employees clearly aware that we were waiting, they continued to ignore us and carry on a conversation. I returned my items to the rack and left. I had a wonderful experience here! A while back I came in close to closing time with an online return (that was passed the 45 day window allotted for returns.) I had the receipt for the purchase on my phone but was fully prepared to be told I couldn't return the item or could only receive store credit but the sales associate was super friendly and incredibly helpful. She refunded the amount on to my card without issue and was very kind. read more

LOFT is so not Ann Taylor. For some reason, I cringe everytime I think of my Ann Taylor fat pants days. How is it that I bought these things? I must had been menstruating. But LOFT (associated to ann taylor somehow) is something else. Much younger, gentler, artful, well cut and fashionable. This LOFT location gave me good vibes recently. I returned and rebought stuff to take advantage of a coupon I had (people- this is real shady practice, do not follow unless youve made huge purchases, only once in a blue moon if you really have too much time, ok*:) and had to trouble associate Jordana, the manager. She was super fast, accurate, cordial, professional, everything A++ on customer service and attitude. For this, I give this store an A+ rating. I do still love shopping at the Spectrum, however, but Jordana is tops! read more

There is NO customer service in this store. The manager is horrible. She will not make eye contact and will only care about rearranging the store and making the display looks good. Here's a hint...the store will not exist if there are no customers no matter how pretty it looks!!! Like other reviews, there are a few good workers there but the majority of middle age women there are totally judging and talked down to their customers. I witnessed it and usually towards minorities. Obviously they don't care about yelp reviews because things have not changed in a couple of years...I stopped going there for a while for this reason but recently gave them another chance. It was my first time visiting this location. I spent almost $400 online and came to this store to return a few items that did not fit. I chatted online with customer service to exchange and get the correct sizes, the chat went well. All the items I needed to return had all the tags attached and still wrapped in plastic exactly how it was shipped to me. One item was missing a security tag, and the older lady asked her younger co-worker about it. The younger salesperson practically accused me of removing it and therefore unable to resell it. I told them that's how it was shipped to me, price tags and all still attached and I have the receipt to prove everything was purchased online. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE by the younger lady. Maybe you should let corporate know they ship items without security tags before accusing customers when customers did nothing wrong. I agree with all the other reviews, I do not recommend visiting this store because of miserable, unhappy, rude workers. read more

This Loft store somehow ended up with the cheapest sale selection! I love browsing through their Final Sale rack, which has accessories for $3, suit pants for $5 and dresses for $10. SO CHEAP! Service is also pretty amazing. Definitely love shopping here :) read more

I go to this store because it's close but EVERY time I come, no one ever greets nor do they ever ask if you need help. There are at least 4 sales associates on the floor and they just talk amongst themselves and pretend to be busy putting back merchandise. The sales associate didn't say hello or ask me if I needed anything but she did ask if I could move out of the way so she could get past. I was trying to look for a size and she couldn't go around me?? These are probably the worst sales associates and they aren't even young students...they are all old and should know what customer service is. I think they are only concerned with the way the clothes are put back and don't bother helping out people. That's probably the reason why the dressing rooms are full of clothes that were tried on and not bought. I don't think the manager is doing a good job at all here because they are not training their staff. This place truly needs better salespeople. read more

I prefer the one at South Coast. I went in on a Wednesday afternoon. It didn't seem very busy, but no one offered to help me, and no one said hello. If it were a cheaper store, ok, but I like shopping at Loft because the service is typically great. At the South Coast location, they'll offer to start a dressing room for you and take your name and they make you feel welcome - you know, so you'll actually want to buy something. Here I had to flag someone down to find the dressing rooms, and I got the vibe that by doing so I was causing some great inconvenience. I had an armful of clothes, which she didn't offer to help me carry. She just said "Dressing rooms are this way.." and took off in that direction. I followed her, and asked which room I should use. She said it didn't matter and then just walked off. So sales 101: It would have been nice to hear, oh, I don't know, "Let me know if you need anything" or "How's your day going?" or "Are you looking for anything in particular?" Or if she was busy, she could have sent someone else back to help me. Lame, and not worth it. There are other places to shop. read more

This is a nice big store that always seems to have a great sale section. You can park right in front of the store for convenience.

I am really surprised by the two reviews on here. I have always enjoyed my experience at this Tustin Ann Taylor Loft. The service has always been impeccable, and I absolutely love the sales! Whenever they are busy they make sure to open another line at the register. I have seriously never been disappointed by the customer service. However, there is something seriously missing at the Ann Taylor Loft Tustin Marketplace location with the quality of their customer service. Decided to stop in for my very first time ever at a Loft store after my A+ experience next door at White House Black Market. I definitely didn't get the same top notch customer service experience lol. An associate did however shout hello to me from way across the store when I walked in. Let me tell you, I came in on a Monday morning around 11:30am? There was a big sale going on but the store wasn't flooded for a Monday morning mind you. I started piling a ton of clothes on my arm as I was going through the clearance section and the load was getting to be quite heavy. After about 10 minutes, I heard an associate tell another associate to help me by getting me a room. This was after a couple of different employees had passed me by earlier seeing that I had loads of clothing in my arms. Anywho, I was directed into my fitting room once I was ready to try on my clothing and was probably checked in on once the whole 15 minutes I was in the back. The back fitting room area was a complete mess. The return racks were filled to the brim, I had to stack the items I didn't want over the rack. There was a folding table with sweaters and unfolded clothing piling off of it (and clothes all over the floor). It was definitely a hot mess of disorganization back there. All in all, I did find some great things on sale, but I noticed that a lot of the tags weren't updated to tell you it was on sale unless you went and had them scan it at the register. I walked away spending about $250 for a dress, 2 pairs of slacks, 2 elegant tanks, a sweater and a blouse. Not bad! I'd come here again but only for the sales and not expecting great customer service. read more

I love ATL so I shop at locations all over CA, but BY FAR the best service, cleanliness of the store, appearance/decoration, layout, and friendliest ATL I've been to, including Northern and Southern CA, was the Tustin store. This is my favorite LOFT store. It was remodeled a year or two ago, and I really like how spacious and nice everything looks. They always have a lot of merchandise and accessories and show you great ways to wear their clothes. They also have a great Petites section. You should never buy anything full price at LOFT, because they have sales ALL the time...just make sure you are on the email list. They have special events and promotions...including flash sales that are that day only online or sometimes in the store. I recently bought $300 worth of stuff for $150 on their 50% off day. It was great. I do a lot of shopping on their website too, and you can return the product to the store if it doesn't fit or if you don't like it. The only suggestion I have for this location is to continue training your staff to greet and help your customers on the floor and in the dressing rooms. I am a regular and some of the girls recognize me, but there are still times that I come in and no one offers to help...I'm always kind of surprised by that. You'd think they'd also get to know you by name when you've been shopping in the same place for years! Just a suggestion. A few months ago, after I tried on a shirt, I couldn't find the return rack outside the fitting rooms but just piles and piles of clothes on the floor so I was reluctantly going to add to the pile when a sales associate came in and reprimanded me! I couldn't believe the mess they had and how she talked to me--instead of apologizing for the mess or taking the shirt from my hand to help--she made me feel like it was my fault that I couldn't find the rack! Love this brand and this store in particular. Jane and the whole staff are so helpful in giving me feedback as to what compliments me and what may not be the best choices for me. They also help me utilize whatever coupons that I may be able to benefit from and order online if my size is not available at the store. All around great experience when I shop at Loft, especially the Tustin Marketplace location. Loft styles are stylish and reasonable especially with their sales and special deals. Quality is very good and many items are in comfortable cotton or cotton blends and linen, which keeps one cool during the summer. There are new items constantly calling my name so I love to stop and visit Loft stores. read more

I agree with all the BAD reviews, and would rate this store 0 stars if I could. Went in today to return a couple items I had purchased from a 10+ item spree less than 2 weeks ago. Didn't have a positive experience that day either. I'll have to update this review later with the woman's name, but she's pretty horrible. Haven't seen a smile on her face yet, and don't expect to. Why do you work in customer service if you seem bothered by a customer asking you a question or opinion? anyway, apparently one of the items I was trying to return wasn't on my receipt, so she made it seem like it was my fault and asked why I hadn't called them the same day to correct THEIR mistake. The dumb young girl from my original purchase charged me for one item twice and missed one item, but somehow this is MY fault? She acted like she was doing me the favor of a lifetime by crediting my store credit card and not just giving me a merch credit. Pretty ridiculous, especially since I think this woman is a manager. I'll definitely avoid this store in the future, even if it means having to drive a bit further. I may even call corporate because people like that do not deserve to be in management. And loyal customers like me don't deserve to be treated like crap. read more

This store is totally inconsistent in the manner in which they greet their customers. But the most common theme I believe at this location is greetings being reserved for some. For one I have rarely, if ever, walked in and been greeted, but I shop there because there is usually something i am hoping to find in the store for a specific reason. I will admit I usually go here when I am low on cash and my ATaylor credit account, is always way below my limit so I always have room to shop if I really don't have cash to go somewhere where the service is better and the selections greater. Last night I walked around the store no less than 20 min from one end to the next unfolding sweaters, pulling out hangers with blouses, looking for a festive top for my office party. I finally selected something, and when i got to the counter, the clerk looks up and says are you ready, did you find everything ok -- my answer was "for the most part". No additional comments, but she then had the nerve to ask me if I wanted to donate to St Judes, no. When she handed me my bag she didn't bother to look up and even pretend a smile. I walked in well before 7:30pm and it was about 7:50 when I walked out. They had at least 3 clerks, and maybe 4 people besides me "browsing". It was obvious I was looking for something. Not a word from anyone, even when they were walking around straightening up unfolded items. I am paying a bunch of bills off in February and this will be one of the first accountss I voluntarily close, so I will not be tempted to go here, even when I am low on cash. This was not the store I opened the account in six years ago, but it is closest to my home now. They apparently judge you when you walk in, but it has nothing to do with being dressed casually. Some people get a greeting and others don't. The store is far too small to not know when someone has walked in. Are they so stupid they don't know how far a greeting, a little attention, complimentsy,and courtesy go. Maybe they are paid hourly so it does not matter, but this is definitely how poor performing stores get closed and others stay open. They should learn from Subway, no matter the line or how busy, they always know when someone walks in and there is always a welcome greeting, Their regional manager should pay closer attention to what goes on or does not here. read more

I came in to return a gift for merchandise credit. When I approached the counter, the lady who helped me asked if I wanted to browse the store for any replacements. I was pressed for time, since I was on lunch break, and I told her "I don't think I'll have enough time so I'll just get the credit." She then responded, "Okay..." in such a rude tone. She didn't have to roll her eyes, but her tone said it all. So I thought maybe she was just having a bad day, until she saw a familiar customer and greeted her with a smile. The whole transaction was curt and abrasive. Even when she gave me my credit and receipt, there was no "Thank you" or "Have a nice day". Why work in retail or customer service if you have such a bad attitude? The only friendly one was a younger employee. Like other Yelpers, I would rather go to the Irvine Spectrum store. read more

Stood in line for 20 mins and pregnant was there during the daytime on a weekday another salesperson was behind the counter and didn't bother ringing anyone or helping the cashier. The women that work there are much older and don't seem to have any sales experience or care about sales. When you walk the floor no one asks to help or greets you. I finally get to the counter and the "manager" wouldn't let me return an online purchase because the sensor was taken off. Really?! Why would there be a sensor on an item that was purchased anyway that's the company's fault. I asked for a store managers name and contact info and she declined. Who does that?! I've worked in upper management retail for a long time and never heard of salespeople declining upper management info. After being told on the phone that I wouldn't be charged for the return label it was deducted from my purchase!! Worst online and in store experience ever. I love this store! I've always had the best customer service. Sometimes when it is busy, it's harder to find someone to help, or the checkout line might be a little wait, but they always apologize for the wait. I had to write this good review, since it seems people have had experiences other than mine! I'm so surprised! I stop in all the time, and with the discounts for having a credit card, you can't go wrong. Super cute, great price. Pleasurable shopping experience all the time. Even if I have a lot of returns, they never show any frustration or make any comments. They process the transaction with a smile! The Irvine Spectrum store is nice too - but this one is closer to me, and I have never had a problem. They offer to ship an item for free if they don't have your size in the store, and the sale section always has a great selection. read more

Love this Loft location! The staff are genuinely attentive, yes, genuine. No fake "how are you's." They watch for queues and step in when they sense you need help. I love this approach. No hovering over your every move, yet ample staff eager to help if you need it. Some of the staff have been there forever and you can tell they love their jobs and customers. The store is beautiful. Always neat and staged so well. Heidi, Rachel and Ashley are the best...they all are. I've been coming for years; it's my first and only stop when replenishing my seasonal wardrobe or buying an event outfit. read more
