As a mom of 4 it is important to find age appropriate, quality clothing at a reasonable price. While the original price tag at The Loft isn't super savvy, the 40% off or more sales they hold make for some great buys. While shopping at La Cantera, I decided to stop in at The Loft in search of a cute new top or dress for our upcoming family photos. The store was wide open anI entered the relatively dead store, ungreeted. As I browsed the selection of sweaters and cute tops I came upon a few dresses that would work perfectly. I approached the sales desk and waited... and continued waiting... with no acknowledgement. I finally kindly interrupted the sales woman staring at the computer screen to ask if there were other sizes available. Without even looking up from her screen, she abruptly responded with "Nope. We already sold out and they're sold out online." Disappointed to discover that quality customer service has become too effortful at this location. I'd stick to shopping at other Loft locations as the clothing is stylish and the quality is good. read more

I have pretty Loft-y ambitions, so we came to this Mall hoping to spend lots of money, and we did exactly that. I feel like I went broke. Located at La Cantera, this is an excellent store where Barbie spent a good ten minutes inside looking around and found a few things that she wanted, but after some heated discussion, we ended up not getting anything because we had already spent a little bit too much money here on this particular day. It was pretty quiet in the store, except for Barbie's loud valley girl voice. :) Still a very cool location with friendly employees in the extremely Bougie Mall. read more

STEER CLEAR!!!! The guest associate with the longer black hair seemed in a mood. We walked in, and she wouldn't acknowledge us. As we stood up front, she walked away to go do something else. And then would then bring back clothes to put away. We were only acknowledged after staring at her while she sorted clothing. She then didn't say a word, but to tell us the total, and throw a jacket in a bag. Worst customer service I've ever had from The Loft. Will not be recommending this location to anyone. read more

My mom and I have been shopping at this location for the past couple of years and for some reason lately we have had less than stellar customer experiences. #1. In July we had a cashier who was really pushy about the loft credit card. I said no and then made a joke to my mom (who was with me at the time) that I was a shopaholic and I didn't need any more debt. The cashier with a totally straight face says to me "Well that's a personal problem. You just need to learn how to pay off your card each month. It's about being financially responsible". I was so shocked I didn't even know how to respond. Thanks for the lesson in finances *sarcasm* #2. Last month my mom was asked by a sales associate if she wanted to have her items held at the register while she continued to shop. Unfortunately whenever my mom got home she realized that she had paid for two Final Sale items that must have gotten mixed in with her items when they were being held at the register. I called and spoke with a sales associate who said that there was no way that we would be able to return the items since they were Final Sale. I asked to speak to a manager who told me that the same thing, Final sale items are final. I brought up the point that there was probably a customer looking for their items that were put on hold (only to find out that they were accidentally sold to another customer), and that if I was that person I would be pretty mad. So finally the manager told me that my mom could come in and return the items. #3. Today I visited this location with my mom. My mom gave the cashier a $25 shopper card that she had received from a prior purchase and then realized later when she was reviewing her receipt that the discount hadn't been applied. I called and spoke to a manager who said that if we came back in that they would honor it. We drove all the way back to the mall assuming that we were going to get $25 back from her purchase. It was quite upsetting to find out that due to a technicality that they would only be able to take off a discount of $2.81! I was so disappointed that we had driven almost 30 minutes to get back so little. The first manager that we spoke with on the phone spoke with us for less than a minute and was very dismissive about our situation. Finally, the head manager came over, apologized and explained to us that the shopper card couldn't have been applied because our purchase didn't meet the minimum amount required. So then I got more upset that this wasn't explained to us. Why would the cashier take the coupon and not communicate to the customer that it was invalid or at least give it back so that my mom could use it on another purchase? The head manager said that she would make sure to review all of the information with her staff during training and gave us two $10 off our purchase cards for future use that said "Sorry" on them. read more

So listen i never do this stuff but this was so aggravating. I purchased a dress on the 27th at Ann Taylor Loft. Took the dress home washed it according to their washing instructions on the tag. And the dress shrunk to the point that it is now the length of a long shirt. I recognize that Lofts return "practice" is they don't return product that has been washed. But it is clear that I cared for it the way it was intended. They have the ability to make an exception. And not only did they NOT do that, the manager that came up then told me the dress shouldn't have been machine washed. I said ironic because the tag said it could. So my experience was horrible. And not only has the Loft at La Cantera lost a client but all Loft in general. Over exchanging a $35 dress. Oh and the funniest part, the lady beside me was about the buy the same dress and saw how they were hassling me, and put it back! In an environment where retailers are closing and consumers have choices, you should always choose to give the best service possible. And for the record, their return policy does state unworn and unwashed OR defective. This was clearly a defective issue! read more

I went to this store a few days ago and was looking for some holiday party dresses. Of course, I go straight to the back to the sale section. Paying full price at this or any Ann Taylor store is something I only do for pants. I like a lot of the clothes, they're good for work. So I find a whole slew of dresses I like and want to try on. While I'm doing this, one of the salesladies catches my daughter at the door, who had quietly wandered away from me. I thank the lady and vow to keep my daughter by my side from then on. I decided on two dresses and go to the front to get a solid price check since it wasn't clear if the 40% off was already applied or if I needed to calculate it further. The lady at the front was the same one from earlier. She verified the prices for me and started ringing them up. I asked if she could recommend a necklace to go along with one of the dresses (I'm not very good at that type of thing). She helped me choose one and then gave me two of those $25 off cards if I spend a certain amount during a specified time period in December. So we go to leave after paying and get caught by the sensor at the doors. The same lady comes over to check that she took off the security tags. She did. Then she helped me put all the stuff in my hands (receipts, kid Tupperware thing, etc.) into the bags. That lady was awesome! And I have two beautiful dresses I can't wait to wear. read more
