They then called me within a few hours to tell me what needed to be done, and give me a quote. There was no attempt to up-charge or tack on unnecessary work. The quote was very reasonable. I'm extreamly happy with their service, plus I was in and out in a short period of time. By the way, MD Smog is also open on Saturdays. I found MD Smog because I DID NOT want to return to "A Better Smog" (also in Lodi) due to their poor customer service and their made-up fee of an additional $5.00 because I needed my smog test conducted at a Star Certified smog check center. The lady behind the counter at "A Better Smog" tried to tell me it was a state fee, but she later admitted it was an additional fee they chose to charge. (Think about it, if the state wanted another $5.00, the state would have increased my vehicle registration fee by $5.00.)
