I had a great experience at Smog City in Stockton! Clarissa at the front desk was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and professional from the moment I walked in. Alonzo performed the smog check, and he was just as courteous and efficient. I especially appreciate that they were willing to smog my older vehicle. It's becoming harder and harder to find shops that will work on older cars, but Smog City handled it with a smile and made the whole process quick and hassle-free. If you're looking for excellent customer service and a shop that truly values its customers, I highly recommend Smog City. I'll definitely be back for my next smog check! read more

Never busy when I come here. Super fast service, done within 10 minutes. If you use the coupon sent in the mail, the smog with certificate is only $35 instead of the normal price of $51.50. Highly recommend this place to get your smog done. read more

Smog City - New pricing for their services. - Smog Check Stations Near Me - Stockton, California

They are fast if you get there early and they honor the coupon. Other then that it's no major thrills in there.

Second time going to this business and as last time, quick service and friendly people! I highly recommend this business for your smog check needs! read more

I just got smogged. Friendly and quick service. I paid $35 with a coupon-he said normally they are $50 I will definitely go back and tell others to go there also. read more

Getting smogs done is such a drag! But I love this place, been coming here for the last couple smogs. They're cheap, quick, and reliable! The wait is never long, you can call ahead and ask the wait time, and they give you a free re-test if you fail! The people that run the place are super sweet and friendly! Wheelchair accessible too! And the dude that does the smog helped me put my wheelchair in my the car! $41 for 2000 & newer cars $51 for 96 - 99 $71 for 95 and older read more

I've been going here for smog tests for both of my vehicles for years, but I think after the ownership changed hands things have gone downhill. Today in particular, I went in and there were maybe 5 people waiting ahead of me which is fine but the problem started when I left my key and registration paperwork on the counter just so it can get into the que. There was only one person working in the whole place and that person just pushed the key and paperwork back towards me to and said to have a seat which I did for a while. After not getting any word as to an estimate for how long it would be, I just walked out to never come back. There are plenty of smog places that are rated high on Yelp that I will try out...... Smog City.....you need to do better at customer service!! read more

I always bring my cars here and they're always super fast. I've never had any issues and the employees are all super nice.

My Husband was on a mission for our Nissan Rogue to be smogged. He was by Costco and passed by this 1 place by Hammer ... he wasn't sure about the place. Tuesday, our mail came and all the store advertisements. There was COUPON $25.00 OFF from Smog City !! He went this morning ... excellent service ... He checked the car ... Passed !!! Got certificate. Very efficient. Definitely recommended this .. to our friends. He didn't have an appointment. read more

Get your smog check somewhere else. Alonzo who did my smog was on his period and was rude because I bought in a coupon. It's just a smog check no need to be a jerk and have an ugly attitude!!!! Will never get my smog here every again. I'll take my money else where......! read more

Took my car to do the smog. I waited in their lobby for someone to check in customers after few minutes the technician came in n told me he need it me to write the mileage n he's going to need my driver license. Then told me to take a sit that he will be with me in a min. He went back to check on the car he was doing. Few minutes came back took care of the customer he was helping before me then called me to tell he was going take he's lunch and after that he got another car before mine. Why he Wasted my time? Took my business somewhere else. read more

I had 35 minutes to fill my tank with gas, get a smog check, AND make it to work on the other side of town (at least a 10 minute drive). I get my tank filled at the nearby Chevron (5 minutes), then I drive over to Smog City and see a person pull in JUST ahead of me. Great. After I get checked in and I have about 25 minutes left to get my smog, and guess what.... I made it to work on time. Everything was fast and painless. Love it here. This is going to be my go-to smog place from now on. read more

Very helpful and professional. Practically no wait. Alonzo is very thorough and is willing to explain process if asked. read more

Just slapped my 2022 sticker yesterday and I am so happy! This is the second time I got my car smogged here. I decided to get my smog check done here in Stockton since it's cheaper in Stockton than where I live now in the bay area. Although the prices might've went up from the last time I was here in 2019, so is everything else going up. I was in and out in less than 10 minutes. You can't beat their fast and quick service. Thank you Lester for servicing my car. read more

Very pleased when we needed to smog test our 33 foot RV! They were able to test right away and the price was very reasonable!

Very quick service and they are star certified. Customer service was very professional. Had a great experience. Would recommend to anyone and didn't need coupon to get the $38 out the door which was smog check and certificate. read more

So guess what I came back, this time with my grandmothers car, and had another horrible experience , as soon as I park in parking lot (very small parking lot by the way like maybe a 20ft walk to the furthest one). And as soon as I get out the car the guy screams at me ,"Hey can you park here for me!?" And points to the front. I'm like okay sure? Mind you okay I should of parked in front but does it really fucking matter? Its not a walmart size parking its literally like 10 more feet of walking Then I ask him why did he make me Move if he is going to pull the car in anyways and he said he didn't want to walk that far & there is no other reason. Then said I can go somewhere else if I wanted after I said I didn't appreciate that , I said nope i'm already here. Then comes back and tells me the computer is reset need to drive 100miles. Kinda of glad that happened because I didn't want to give them my money. For sure for sure not coming back now (and shame for them because I take a lot of cars here and have word of mouth sent people there) . And to the owner I still want my refund please thank you. I also want to add this is the same guy who was rude lst time and messed up the coupon, and he was rude to another customer after me. Just read reviews and he has been complained on before. Guys should either fire him or get some more training or maybe a partner or something because he hates his job. read more

The tech Alfonzo runs the smog test on my vehicle which it passes then tells it fails visual for my intake and air filter is not stock. In my past experience a honest smog shop does the visual first stating the issue that it will fail such as the check engine light is on or a damage intake hose. in my case an after market intake and air filter which upon the failure of the visual they don't run the emission test allowing you to first fix what ever the visual issue is and does not charging you for it was not connected to computer to be read. a good tech can tell if it is going to past the visual within 2 minutes. So beware of this shops practices. The bottom line is Alfonzo scammed me runs the emission test already knowing he going fail me. read more

Today is July 5th went there around 1ish and worker there said he's on lunch and said around 15 mins he will be done came back and door is locked. Clock on door says will return back at 125pm. It is now 230. What terrible service. Do not recommend read more

They had me in and out in under an hour at a great price. I highly recommend their service.

Unfortunately, the guy told me it failed because the intake was not for the year of the vehicle. Went to another smog place and they said it matched and was right for the vehicle. Please pay attention to detail before failing a customer. I did get fast service but may need some employees to be retrained. read more

The staff was very helpful and very friendly. He asked me all the right questions and I was in and out in 10 minutes Max. I will also mention I like that this place offers a free second smog check if it doesn't pass based on the year make and model of my car. Other places I called would charge additional $20 for re-test. read more

To the smog tech that's been interacting with customers and doing smog. (Not you Bob) I've never had the displeasure of meeting such a rude, chauvinistic smog tech, but I did have the unfortunate luck of having to meet with him when arriving here. He speaks to people as if they are beneath him while also, somehow, being completely incapable of understanding the most basic common sense. His condescending, rude and unnecessarily loud tone needs an adjustment to say the least. If this is how he communicates with people professionally, I feel very bad for his clients-with that disgusting attitude. read more

I'm like everyone else and hate getting my car smogged. A few years ago my brother-in-law told me about this place and how it was the easiest time he ever had getting his car smogged. I listened to him and been coming back ever since. They are so friendly and usually not a long wait. Definitely better than any other place I have been to and highly recommend! Thanks again! read more

USED to be a great place for smog and for years I would take all my cars there and refer all my friends/family. That has all changed. I called them up and they now charge: $48.00 for a very simple, basic smog check on cars 2000 and newer. I found a new smog place that charged me $30 out the door so I will never be back. read more

We happened to go by Bianchi Road and noticed Smog City. Since our car is needing a smog check by next month for license renewal, I thought I'd check out the reviews. Great reviews and There was a coupon offer too. Yelp helped me get in touch with Smog City for a quote or questions and I was surprised how soon I received a response. Bob the Owner responded with a quote and said come by anytime. Then I also received a few other quotes through Yelp. We decided to go to Smog City because it is close to us and it looked like a new place. We went on a Thursday and got right in! The business is very clean and practiced social distancing. Very friendly Staff and they were quick! Very satisfied with the service we received, We'd recommend this business for your smog needs. read more

I was just in there and the business owner treated me with disrespect and rudeness . Mask mandates have been lifted and mind you I am not sick or was there anyone else in the shop with me . He told me to wear a mask in an intimation demeanor and harassing me . I kindly told him the mandates have been liften and had no right to ask about my personal vaccination status . Mind you sit your business is dead! I also have been in every business in stockton and have not had any issues. Not to mention you are wearing your mask sit by your choice and do not see the Ned to wear mine in order for yours to work ! Stop this tyranny this COVID theater ! It's over sir you lost a costumer and I will take my business else wear ! Stockton Rise up ! Stop complying support those business with freedom of choice ! That was not the attitude taken. As I mention I was not sick trust me out of courtesy I wouldn't even be out. Secondly you were not even wearing your mask correctly so how ironic . So much for your understanding. Thirdly mask are highly recommended not mandate. read more

Called on Saturday (8/31/19) to ask what time they close since my time at Stockton Honda was lasting way longer than expected (which is a whole other story) and the guy said they close at 3pm. Nothing else... Okay if I can make it I'm gonna head there. Once I finally leave Honda I head straight for Smog City and get there right at 2:45pm. Yes, I hate to be that guy but after my day at Honda I had no choice. I walk in and say I need a smog, no other customers are there btw, and the guy says they're closed for the Labor Day weekend. I said I called and was told you close at 3. He says yea but we're closed for the Labor Day holiday now. Obviously, the guy is an idiot. He also tried to explain how the work I had done at Honda might throw off the smog. During his lame explanation he even said "if you decide to come back here" like you obviously don't want my business. First and last time going here. I came bc of others having good referrals of this place, but apparently if you're cutting it close to their closing time then don't bother (even with no other customer there). I'll pay a little extra and go back to EnviroSmog. read more
