Called a few places this morning to see if there's availability for me to get a smog today. I noticed a lot of the places we're not just smog only stations. I prefer smog only locations. Found Enviro smog via yelp, called and was told to come on down. I arrived. Pull into the driveway and head to the back. Oh i see it, its where so many people are standing around waiting for their car or cars turn to be violated by the smog machine. I hate getting a smog. I despise the fact that we are working my motor like that lol Anywhos, you have to be prepared before you go into the office to let them know , youre here for a smog. 1. Bring in your registration renewal. 2. Have your DL available to be swiped 3. Jot down your exact mileage 4. Leave your key with them Covid time 5. Wear your mask So, I executed all 5 of those. You can wait outside , on one of their chairs or just get back in your car and wait until they are ready for you. I sat in the car. Its been about 5 minutes and I think Im next. Its my turn. A technician comes to the driver's side of my vehicle with my key and I realize , I gotta get out. Now Im sitting in one of their chairs in between 2 other customers and we are all social distancing due to chair placement. ( just wanted to throw that in ) lol Oh sheesh, they just called my name. What's going on??? We've been a loyal customer for the last eight years and recently my daughter who is a new driver brought in her vehicle. She failed the smog check because apparently the catalytic converter was not original, apparently it was an aftermarket product. We brought the vehicle to another star smog station and they passed it, the owner checked it and said that the catalytic converter is original! Going to report this to the automotive bureau this isn't good thank goodness I only lost $50 as opposed to a brand new $1200 part only catalytic converter. Sounds a little weird to me! read more

Returned here after dealing with the douche at Smog City not wanting to work their regular business hours. I was in and out of here in about 30 minutes or less as others were there before me. They checked me in quickly and accepted my coupon with no issues. I even verified with them about the airbag replacement throwing off a sensor as told to me by said douche at the beginning of this review (see my Smog City review for backstory), and they said unless the light is actually on it doesn't effect anything. I've been here before and always had had great service. From the front desk to the guys in the smog shop, everyone has always been polite and respectful. Because it is smog only and not repairs, it is pretty quick depending on how many people are ahead of you. I was going to go to a different shop this morning but the wait was 1-1/2 hours before they would even get to my vehicle, then another 30-45 minutes for the test. The price was also starting about $10 more than EnviroSmog without the certificate, and an extra $8.75 including the certificate. close to $20 more than Enviro-Smog for the whole thing. I took an old truck in for a smog check but the service could not be completed for some reason having to do with the DMV. Back up to five stars for this business. My truck failed to pass smog here but yet when I took it to another shop it passed. I was not really sure what or why but I knew I was not happy. Yesterday I received a note regarding my review from the manager of the business. He explained that there was an issue with the smog testing equipment that day that was not discovered until later. He offered a refund and a credit for my next smog. I took him up on the offer. I felt that was more than fair and really appreciated that he reached out to explain what happened. I inquired about the pricing change and was told there was a new smog program and thus the customers are getting charged more for smog test.*** This place is constantly packed so prepare to wait. The guy let me leave for 45 minutes (gave me a chance to do some errands) and then came back for a smog which was good and by the time I came back it was done in about 25 minutes. Friendly people, clean but very small waiting room with only about 7 seats and more people just waiting outside. The good is there are two smog bays and three people working (at least the two times I've been there) so it's relatively fast. Seems like the price is pretty comparable to most other places but its a little out of the way for me personally. Not too sure I would make the drive out there when there are places closer but they seem very professional and courteous with no hidden bull$hit fees. read more

Absolute worst experience ever for smog! Took my car in after looking up their prices online $50 for my car with $10 off online coupon. When I got there I realized their prices ever $10 more than advertised prices online. I ask about it but they would NOT honor the online price. Since I'm already there I was fine paying the store price. When Alonzo, the tech, inspected my car, he pulled off hoses even hoses that had clamps on them and said they were bad and giving me a bad tone. He also said I had a bad attitude at the front counter when I first came in. (Probably why he's taking off hoses) I told him "how would you feel if you went somewhere and their online prices said $50 but ended up being $60 when you get there? And they wouldn't honor their online price?" And I wasn't even upset, I was willing to pay their store price. He cut one hose, with my ok, but didn't reattach firmly back in place. In the end, the car failed the emissions, likely from the hose not being connected firmly. I'm not one to put out bad reviews but this was such a bad experience. I was debating on reporting to BBB on their false/misleading pricing but its not a debate any longer! read more
