They were absolutely fantastic; we had seen their R&B songs before online, and they were great. But when they arrived for the party it was clear that they had added new members, especially in their horn section. Wow! All of their songs just popped. Even though it was a 100 degree day, the outside dance floor (under a tent, luckily) was packed for all of their songs. My mom and my new in-laws, all in their 70's or 80's, were dancing along with everyone. Absolutely the best live R&B we've heard. McMenamin's has a Good Neighbor policy that limits noise past 10pm; the Kats were understanding about this but they were genuinely having a great time - and so were we - and were disappointed they couldn't keep playing so we could keep dancing. Several of our guests were so impressed that they are planning to (or already have) booked the Kats for upcoming parties. Dan, our contact (and the drummer), was a pleasure to work with. He returned messages within a day at the latest, was really accommodating and helpful. This band is a terrific choice for any of your events where you want guests to smile, tap their feet, cheer, and dance! We had a wonderful time, and you will too. Since she has limited mobility I wanted the holiday spirit to come to her home. She thoroughly loved every second of it and can't stop talking about it. I highly recommend their services. The Fireside Carolers was the first group created under the Vivace Voices banner. This is an amazing group of singers that provide all the holiday favorites we all know and love. They have the standard Quartet of singers available but the signature ensemble provides all of your favorite carols and holiday songs with a jazz twist in eight-part harmony.

The difference here is the quality of the staff. Seth, Josh, and Oliver participated in various parts of the move including estimates, packing, loading, transport, and unloading. They were very easy to work with throughout. The estimate was very clear which was important to me because previous moving companies would bait with the estimate and then jack up the charges when the truck arrived. Instead it was very clear how much each part of the move would cost. Not a single thing was broken, and every step of the move happened exactly when they promised. Communication with the moving staff as well as the friendly office staff were excellent, which is a critical part of any successful move. Seth and Josh clearly have a lot of experience with moving and that made the difference with our move. Oliver was very efficient and polite - much different than the types we normally see from moving companies. I would highly recommend ANC for intercity or regional moves!

Stageworks Northwest puts out excellent theater with talented casts and crews. Impressed that there…read moreis amazing theater in Longview. Most people think you have to go to either Portland or Seattle for good live theater. But sandwiched between those cities is Longview And there they have the Columbia Theater for the Performing Arts. And one block down is Stageworks Northwest. Stageworks Northwest calls the old Longview Theater their home and the place is being restored. The plays and musicals there are creative with a good variety. Set design is excellent and acting, singing and dancing is delightful as well. All for a price that doesn't break the bank. I just saw a Rodgers and Hammerstein review which was 2 hours of great music. Before that, I watched a drama about 2 war photographers trying to adjust to life back home. And before that I was at a science fiction musical that used old rock and roll tunes mixed with space. All of them so well done. Stageworks Northwest is a cool place and I highly recommend it.

As the wedding date grew near, we were assigned a DJ. However, after a few hiccups & an explanation of our music preference, PDX DJs switched Jesse (also known as DJ Good Things) to be our DJ for the wedding. Lexie & I had the ability to meet with Jesse via Zoom to go over what we needed the day of the wedding in terms of processional, recessional, first dance, and so on. Jesse was extremely easy to get along with and understood exactly what we needed to make our day special.   As our wedding day arrived, Jesse did an excellent job with all our DJ needs. Jesse was extremely professional, on time, and efficient. Jesse was particularly great at keeping the reception party fun and energetic by mixing our songs in a way that kept everyone dancing and engaged.   I would recommend Jesse and PDX DJs to anyone who is looking for wedding DJ services. I was looking for a secondhand baby grand piano on a limited budget and needed expert advice before…read moremaking a purchase. I reached out for a consultation, and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. Laura, the piano technician, is a true perfectionist. She examined every detail of the piano, pointed out a small crack near the lowest key, explained the potential impact, and advised me on a fair price. Her insights were invaluable. I appreciated how she was understanding and patient. She emphasized that I, as the owner, should love the sound of the piano. Also, as it was quite a big purchase for me, I couldn't make a decision. She patiently advised me that either way was fine. This interaction with her made me love my piano more after I purchased. After I bought it (negotiating the price based on her recommendation), I had her tune it about a month after the move to allow the piano to settle. The piano hadn't been tuned in over five years, so many keys were flat, and some were even sticking. She meticulously went through each key, ensuring everything was perfectly adjusted. I've had pianos tuned before, but this was by far the most thorough tuning I've ever seen. She is timely, professional, kind, and deeply knowledgeable.
