The repair show dod a first class tune up (pun intended) on my electric bass. re-set everything (string heights, pickup heights, attenuated) and when I came home and tried it out the sound was as good as any $1,000 bass. My son's Electric Bass guitar case broke a pin holding the handle on. We stopped in and they were very helpful and was able to fix the case on the spot using a part from a new case. As an aspiring musician, the staff here are friendly are knowledgeable. They answer my questions, helped me make the right choices when purchasing and never any pressure to buy. I don't rent instruments or use their studios, so no comment about that. I bought a new drum kit that was scratched upon delivery and the manager ordered another drum without question and discounted some accessories to boot. Sometimes people keep going to the same old place, not knowing that there are better services nearby. Music World's rental instruments are way too expensive, their lesson rooms are filthy, stuffy, and claustrophobic, and they never have really good sales on instruments. You can buy a good used instrument elsewhere for less than you will pay for years of their high rental rates. Add it up and see! You can also take lessons directly from the instructors without going through Music World--and have air to breathe and cleanliness and room to move your elbows. You can deal with real music lovers in these other stores, which are not far away, and you can have a better experience overall. Check it out. read more
