I'd been exploring using NWRC for nearly three years for my son when I finally pulled the trigger…read moreand enrolled him. I'm so grateful I finally made the decision because it's made an even bigger difference than I thought possible! NWRC's team is consistent, conscientious, and detailed. They got to know my son (both through their extensive testing, and also by working so closely with him one on one) and due to their, and his, hard work he finally broke through a number of issues he'd be struggling with when it came to reading. He now reads above grade level and is able to experience more success in other areas of his education as a result of finally having strong reading skills. If you're on the fence, just go ahead and enroll. You absolutely will not regret it.

NW reading clinic was able to do for my daughter what the public school system failed to do for…read moreyears- bring her reading level up! If your first thought is "it's too expensive"- you are not alone. Did we love spending this much money? No- but the quality of instruction at NW reading clinic is really top notch. No amount "regular tutors" were going to help our daughters achievements in the way that Northwest Reading clinic was able to. She progressed significantly in the Time that she worked with Northwest Reading clinic, and we will be doing another few months this summer again to help her further progress. If your child has challenges in reading, run, don't walk, to their website now and get your child evaluated. You will be glad you did. (and our daughter loved both of her tutors Tutors!!!)

Tried to enroll my daughter in the afterschool program. I made an appointment with the owner and…read moretried to get off work early but didn't make it out in time. I was five minutes late for the appointment, and the owner met me at the door with a smile but said she had another appointment and couldn't meet with me because I was late. She let me in the back door and immediately out the front. She didn't ask to reschedule and I didn't offer. I was personally offended and convinced her reaction was more due to the fact I had asked through an email if she would accept child care subsidies from the DHS. I have experienced negative behavior before because of my ethnically diverse name and my financial situation. I am now in a position to pay full tuition for programs, but I will not consider Creative Roots in the future.

I signed my daughter up for a summer camp and after the first day I had to call and talk to Monique…read morebecause the experience was so horrible and Monique offered to refund the tuition for the week. My daughter still talks about what an awful experience it was there and how unresponsive the staff were (even though it's a low student-teacher ratio) and how uncreative the activities were--rather than involving the kids, the adults simply talked at them. In addition, even though Monique offered to refund the tuition, she has yet to do so, even after multiple requests. In short: It's really disheartening to send your child to a camp, have to call the director because of harmful and negative events that occurred while your child is in their care, and even more puzzling and frustrating to have her agree to refund the summer camp tuition (which is a bit pricey) and to now see these reviews and know that there is a wider pattern of unethical behavior with not refunding money.
