He was very good and extremely friendly. Although, they were busy, he took time to chat with us. The food and beverages were delicious. I had a limoncello spritzer cocktail and loved it! My husband had an old fashion. For an entree I chose the Pan Seared Atlantic Salmon. It was cooked perfectly. It was flaky, not dry at all. It practically melted in my mouth. It was served with fresh asparagus, potatoes and mushrooms topped with a beautifully done Bearnaise sauce. My husband chose the Slow Braised Lamb Shoulder and loved it. We both had red wine with dinner. After dinner we shared a plate of sticky coffee pudding with vanilla ice cream and finished our meal with a Bailey's Coffee for me and an Irish coffee for him. Service was slow but that's to be expected on a crowded evening. We were surprised to see the check in $USD (no choice of currency offered) rather than in Euros (the coin of the realm), with a 8.75% "exchange rate markup fee" tacked on to the total. We weren't given a choice of currency as stated on the bill (see picture). I've never seen this done elsewhere, seems like a petty way to make a bit of extra money from unsuspecting tourists. We were tired and the place was crowded so we paid and left without comment. But that unwarranted currency fee didn't leave a good taste in our mouths at all.
