They did break something at our house and tried to cover it up, which I guess is to be expected. The time between move out and move in was over 2 weeks. I was told to expect 1 week, so I moved my family down, kids included, around that time. I called everyday to get the same notice from Jade - no updates. It was surprising how long it actually took. Then move in was a nightmare. First, the guys were nice, but all of them said they hadn't done a "job like this before" so that was a red flag. They basically unloaded, put 1 bed together, and left right away. The white glove service did not include re-assembling the furniture, other than our master bedroom. AND it was an actual cluster trying to find all the hardware and pieces to do that. These guys, who obviously knew nothing about unpacking, put our OLED tv on its side leaned up against a wall - breaking it completely. Not something you do. And the last and obviously the MOST SERIOUS, they stole a Louis Vuitton purse and Ferragamo wallet out of a clear bin that I packed myself. Someone must've recognized the boxes, because they pulled out both and left the empty boxes. They took over $3k worth of items. And standard liability means that my compensation for all of this is $0.60 per lb. I never expected stealing - breaking is one thing, but STEALING THINGS?! I spent $15k on this move only to be violated and stolen from? I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY. Walk away - go pay a little more for a different company. And insure your items. I filed a police report. I will be filing reports with BBB and FMCSA.

They handled everything carefully without me having to hover or stress about my stuff getting wrecked. Nothing felt rushed, but they still moved efficiently and kept things going. Parking at my new place could've been a mess, but they figured it out on the spot without making it a whole ordeal. Just handled it and kept moving. They were also super patient throughout the process and just easy to work with. Good attitudes, good communication, no weird energy which honestly makes a huge difference on a moving day. We put out feelers on yelp for moving companies and got several responses within a day or two asking for more information and giving generic quotes. Earl's was definitely one of the most affordable options which both delighted me and made me feel a bit nervous. I should preface by saying our last moving experience (look up We Like 2 Move It Move It to read a very delightful little story) was absolutely horrific and as bad as it can get- including stolen items, hidden fees, over 100% charged above the quoted estimate, etc. so, we were VERY cautious about who we hired this time around. For reference, we were moving from a 2x1 in Bellevue to a 2x2 in Woodinville. Earl and Russell were wonderful and worked their asses off for us. They require a 3 hour minimum (which makes sense), and while they didn't tell us up front about the compensation for drive time and such, it really wasn't an issue. We paid well under $1,000 for about 5 hours total time. They took great care of our fragile items and you could tell Earl really cared about providing great service and making sure he continued on with the great reputation he had worked so hard for. I work in the apartment industry and recommend/work with moving companies regularly, and I will now be giving great word of mouth and referrals for Earl's affordable moving.

This process was smooth and easy to schedule via email. I scheduled for 8 a.m. and the movers were there right on the button. My move was from a one bedroom apt (no stairs) to a three bedroom with one staircase. The distance is just over ten minutes away. From the moment they arrived to signing the paperwork at completion, the entire move had only taken about 2hrs and 20mins. They worked efficiently, carefully from what I can see and saved me $ with their hard work. Being able to work on unpacking/organization while the movers worked was soooo worth it.
