I found this company via Yelp. Thank you Yelpers. Duy, the owner asked for a description of my plumbing problem and diagnosed it right away. He quoted a $125 price for doing an auger job and said if it didn't work, there would be no charge. He gave an estimated 1-2 time frame in which he would be by. He came over 1 1/2 hours later on a Saturday night. He ended up having to take apart the plumbing, quoting $225. He has a lot of integrity and knows what he is doing. He was very low key and didn't get frustrated or annoyed that the job was taking so long. You will not regret using his services. I met one of his other employees, who stopped by to drop off a part. He had the same demeanor as Duy. And I did not have to ask them to take off their shoes before coming in to the house. Prior to calling Duy, I called Roto-Rooter, they quoted $250/hour with a one hour minimum. Can you imagine if I used them? 3 hours * $250 =$750. read more

We are from out of town and were visiting my mother for the 4th of July. The bathroom drain clogged and we couldn't find a plumber that would come out on the holiday. But when I contacted Local Rooter & Plumbing they sent a plumber out within an hour, Jaime. He was very professional (wore protective mask), knowledgeable and friendly and let us know that the problem was larger than we had thought (it is an older home) and that he would return the next morning to complete the job. He arrived on time and did an excellent job! He showed us the clogged drain pipe that was removed and replaced it and kept us informed on the fix. He was quick and did a great job and cleaned up before leaving. He was great, and I would definitely use Local Rooter & Plumbing and Jaime again and highly recommend them. I was delighted with the service, attention and rapid response to a plugged toilet! My grandsons are staying with me for the summer and having 3 boys with a plugged toilet is not a good thing. After futile attempts to release the plug I called Local Rooter & Plumbing based on the reviews posted on Yelp. I was surprised at the rapid response to my plea. I received a call back within minutes of leaving a message. Tai was at my house within 2 hours. The toilet seems to have gotten foreign object jammed along the line (boys will be boys) and they were not able to unplug the toilet and believe me they tried! Tai went to the store to purchase replacement toilet and we were back and "running" shortly thereafter. David is the guy worth more than 5 stars! He's very helpful and professional. I screwed up my bathroom pipe when I tried to change the cartridge. I talked to couple of different plumbers and only David offered the solution without need to knock out the bathroom tile. And he worked very carefully to deliver the nice job. I'm very impressed by his work and very satisfied. Whenever it involves with water pipe it can raise big problem if not fixed right. David makes my mind peaceful and I totally trust him by the work presented. Later on he also helped me change my main shut off pipe with pressure regulator. Again he delivered very detailed and nice job. I'm glad I find the right person at the first place. In addition to the nice work, David is a very genuine and trustful person. David came in within an hour after our phone call to the company. The price was quite reasonable, and the plumber was extremely professional and friendly. He even explained some of the stuff when my son barraged him with questions. Basically, we had a serious clogging with both bathroom drains backing up whenever we flushed the toilet or used the tap. It was so bad that we weren't able to take any shower and had to call the company on Saturday. David had to climb up the roof and clear out both primary and secondary pipelines, and we literally saw a massive amount of black grease filling up our tub and shower. Now our drains are working better than ever in the few years living at our house. There was no way I would have done it with some home plungers and snakes, and it was a great choice to choose this company. We had a shower faucet issue on a Sunday during 4th of July weekend and had to call a plumber. I found Local Rooter & Plumbing on Yelp with good reviews, and they were one of the few in the area not closed on a Sunday. I called and left a message, and within 3 minutes I received a call back from Duy, who said he would have a technician over between 12-2pm (it was around 10:15am). I texted him our address and he texted back that he'd have someone over by around noon. Before 11am I get a text from him saying the technician is on his way over. Paul shows up in a few minutes, we show him the problem, and he diagnoses quickly what the problem is and quotes us a very reasonable price (less than we expected, especially on a Sunday holiday weekend!). He takes pictures and leaves to buy materials at Home Depot. The whole problem is fixed by around noon, the time we were originally told a technician would be over to help. Our faucet even functions better now than it did before (a lot smoother turn of the handle and much better water pressure)! Paul was respectful and even removed his shoes upon entering the house. He was very professional, kind, efficient, and not only fixed the problem but improved the function of our faucet. Can't ask for better service! This place is awesome! Our toilets stopped working at end of business on a Saturday. We called 5 "24 hr" plumbers - including a couple of big name guys - and NO ONE could send out a plumber!!! When we finally got to LOCAL Rooter/Plumbing on the list of 4 f 5 star places, the owner simply said 'OK - I'll send Skylar out there". Well Skylar was there within the next 30 mins - and that guy is the BOMB! He really knows what he's doing. I felt very confident having him here from the moment he drove up. Listening to him talk about plumbing, and our problem specifically, was SUCH a relief! Once he arrived and heard what was going on, he knew what it likely was, and he was right! He then called me and said he can have a technician to check the issue on the same day. The technician, Trieu, showed up on time. He went to the crawl space and did a detail check. He then showed me the pictures about the leakage and explained how he will fix the issue. The quote is reasonable so I decided to go with them. After few days, Trieu came to fix the issue. Quick response and professional service sums it up. I had two leaks (service water valve and shower faucets) that needed repairing and called several plumbers that were rated 5 stars on Yelp...I became a bit frustrated over a couple of days with lack of response, being on vacation with no backup or going back and forth by e-mail/text with no real action. I have read other reviews on Yelp that expressed similar frustrations so I was managing my expectations in that direction. I called Local Rooter & Plumbing in the early afternoon (about 2 pm) and Duy picked up right away and promised someone would stop by the same day before 6 pm. Sure enough, Kim and Thai arrived, inspected both leaks and gave a prompt estimate at no charge (one of the other highly rated Yelp plumbers wanted to charge me $125 just to give an estimate (huh? nope.)). Kim clearly explained what needed to be done and had everything needed to repair the main service water valve the same evening and to follow up on the shower leak the next day (since plumbing store was closed). They replaced the aging, leaking main service valve in about 1.5 hrs with an amazing array of high end tools and ingenious contraptions to do the job right. They also recommended to add a valve feeding to the irrigation line and tapped in an additional valve for a garden hose...pretty slick. Next day, they completed the job for the shower and everything is working perfectly. Excellent labor warranty as well. They were both very engaging and professional and you can see they are passionate about their work and making the customer happy. The other tidbit is their truck was tricked out not only with some high end tools/accessories but also had a customized solar panel array that provided independent power to not only recharge all of their tools but also with inverter to operate their heavy duty snakes and other tools. They are self-contained so no need to rely on any external power sources...they are definitely ready for a zombie apocalypse :). In summary, their fantastic service is what will make me a repeat customer and also motivated me to write up this detailed review. Their insane work ethic and hours (you can see they are listed as '24 hours' under hrs of operation on Yelp) while charging a very fair price and most importantly, fixed the problems quickly are unparalleled! David is great. Drain was slow the first time due to main backed up. A couple of weeks later, it was slow again, so I called him. This time it was clogged toilet paper on the inside of the house. Called them again when I need to install kitchen faucet. Again they come out just the second day. This time the technician is Tino. He arrived on time and inspected the work area before starting. He found an old leak from the sink drainage and also recommended replacing old stop valves, some of which are impossible to turn. I ended up asking him to fix the drainage pipe along with the faucet installation and leave the old stop valves alone. Pricing of all items are agreed upon before the work commences. The installation was done meticulously. He even scraped up water stains where the old faucet was in contact with the sink. So far there is no leak and I'm happy with it. read more
