My wife received a call from a tenant who had a flooding problem whenever the upstairs neighbor used any water. It was Sunday at around 4:30 so I thought it probably would be difficult to get someone in to fix. I contacted a number of local plumbers that stated they were open on Sundays, a couple got back to me that they were booked, or done for the day(?) but Duy got back to me at 4:32 with ""Yes John we can be there around 5:30 to 6. David is the guy worth more than 5 stars! He's very helpful and professional. I screwed up my bathroom pipe when I tried to change the cartridge. I talked to couple of different plumbers and only David offered the solution without need to knock out the bathroom tile. And he worked very carefully to deliver the nice job. I'm very impressed by his work and very satisfied. Whenever it involves with water pipe it can raise big problem if not fixed right. David makes my mind peaceful and I totally trust him by the work presented. Later on he also helped me change my main shut off pipe with pressure regulator. David came in within an hour after our phone call to the company. The price was quite reasonable, and the plumber was extremely professional and friendly. He even explained some of the stuff when my son barraged him with questions. Basically, we had a serious clogging with both bathroom drains backing up whenever we flushed the toilet or used the tap. It was so bad that we weren't able to take any shower and had to call the company on Saturday. David had to climb up the roof and clear out both primary and secondary pipelines, and we literally saw a massive amount of black grease filling up our tub and shower. Now our drains are working better than ever in the few years living at our house. There was no way I would have done it with some home plungers and snakes, and it was a great choice to choose this company. These guys are great and well deserving of the 5 stars they currently have. I contacted them on behalf of my mom because of her sewer line being clogged up. It was already late afternoon and most plumbers I called would show up the next day as the earliest. Lo and behold they showed up within 30 minutes. The person who showed up was a guy named Johnny, very friendly and professional. He took his time explaining to my mom and myself on what was needed to be done and fixed the problem. This place is awesome! Our toilets stopped working at end of business on a Saturday. We called 5 "24 hr" plumbers - including a couple of big name guys - and NO ONE could send out a plumber!!! When we finally got to LOCAL Rooter/Plumbing on the list of 4 f 5 star places, the owner simply said 'OK - I'll send Skylar out there". Well Skylar was there within the next 30 mins - and that guy is the BOMB! He really knows what he's doing. I felt very confident having him here from the moment he drove up. Listening to him talk about plumbing, and our problem specifically, was SUCH a relief! Once he arrived and heard what was going on, he knew what it likely was, and he was right! Local Rooter & Plumbing deserves 5 stars definitely. Two weeks ago I left a message to them about toilet leakage on Yelp. Duy then replied the message immediately. He then called me and said he can have a technician to check the issue on the same day. The technician, Trieu, showed up on time. He went to the crawl space and did a detail check. He then showed me the pictures about the leakage and explained how he will fix the issue. The quote is reasonable so I decided to go with them. After few days, Trieu came to fix the issue. He also came back today to do a double check to make sure there is no new leakage. I really appreciate their hard work and excellent service. I had David to come over in June and today at the different locations. Both experiences were excellent. David helped me to solve my problems. The first one was the water backing up to the shower pan. Today, my house garage sink had water that stays there for a day, I could not use the washer. and the dirty water came out from there when I use the garbage disposal. David is great. Drain was slow the first time due to main backed up. A couple of weeks later, it was slow again, so I called him. This time it was clogged toilet paper on the inside of the house. Called them again when I need to install kitchen faucet. Again they come out just the second day. This time the technician is Tino. He arrived on time and inspected the work area before starting. He found an old leak from the sink drainage and also recommended replacing old stop valves, some of which are impossible to turn. I ended up asking him to fix the drainage pipe along with the faucet installation and leave the old stop valves alone. Pricing of all items are agreed upon before the work commences. The installation was done meticulously. He even scraped up water stains where the old faucet was in contact with the sink. So far there is no leak and I'm happy with it. read more

I called them on a Sunday about a leaky dishwasher drain. They were the only plumber who agreed to come that day. They fixed the leak, but said three valves needed to be replaced as well, which I agreed to with some doubt (up sell?). A few days later, I noticed a new leak directly under the sink, which I believe was caused by replacing all the valves. They came back, but charged me again, stating it was unrelated to their prior work... BS! Again the sink leaked. They came out a third time, fortunately there was no charge, even when they replaced a part under the sink. It was annoying that it required three visits and I feel I paid way too much. But, it works great now and they were very timely, courtesy and professional throughout the whole process. I would consider calling them again, but only on a Sunday when all the other plumbers in town are at church. read more

Saturday afternoon we noticed that a lake had developed under our sink. The smell and mold was atrocious. We looked on yelp to see if we could find a plumber to come out during the weekend. After reading the Yelp review, I called Local Rooter& plumbing. They suggested we wait till the next day. The next day David showed up on time. He was very professional and pleasant. He was able to diagnose the issue right away. ( clogged air gap and broken garbage disposal) He told us the price for the part and I was able to pick it up while he fixed the clog. We've all had those moments... we think we're DIY masters and then everything quickly goes down the sewer. Well... literally in this case. My attempt at installing a new water softener rapidly ended badly as water splashed everywhere in the garage and I couldn't get anything properly shut off. An emergency call to Duy at Local Rooter produced a late night intervention and water stoppage, thus saving a lot of damage. He was able to identify that (1) the bypass valves that controlled water to my softener were ancient and thus shot (2) the water main outside wasn't actually shutting off water to the house (also ancient and done for) and (3) being the gorilla that I am I had managed to cross thread the nozzles on the back of the new softener thus causing more leaks. I agreed to order replacement parts for the softener and planned for these other repairs... and was amazed two days later when I suddenly had no hot water. Yep! My sixteen year old water heater was shot too! Another call to Duy... and he was able to send his crew out (Tai and another gentleman whose name I unfortunately didn't get) and replace the heater the same day. A few days later once the parts came in, another appointment was made (thanks Vo!) and the remaining repairs were taken care of.
