I came home and my front yard was flooding. I didn't know exactly the cause of it so I called local rooter and plumbing and they came out within 2 hours. The plumber knew immediately what the problem was (it was my sewer) and advised I call the city. I was not charged anything for his trouble and my sewer was treated that same day by the city. Great customer service! Kitchen sink started to make foul smell when water drains then one day overflow without any warning. Reached out by email and was able to make an appointment right away. The plumber tried snaking it several times but couldn't fix it, went underneath my house and realized it was caused by the old pipe system. Gave me option to switch out section of the pipe or just clear it without changing. Decided to switch out old pipe and the plumber gave me a fair and affordable price! Definitely recommended! I snake out the sewer line once a year to keep the tree roots under control. I called Thursday and they offered to come out that evening. I wasn't in a hurry so we agreed on a one hour window Friday and I asked for a call 20min before they would arrive. Got the call as requested and met them at the house. While they were setting up the snake I mentioned that the vent on the main sewer line was cracked. The technician offered to go into the crawlspace and take a look. Long story short he fixed it for free (I had been quoted $1k by another plumber). 45 minutes later everything was done for the price I was quoted over phone initially for just the snaking of the line. Lifesavers at a moment's notice! Duy and Vo (I believe were their names) came by yesterday at 8pm on a VERY SHORT notice to save my kitchen sink. I tried every method to unclog it before giving in to the professionals. They took their shoes off without being asked, and laid down a mat around the kitchen to ensure it was kept dry and clean. The professionals also took lots of care in how they made sure my dogs did not run out when they entered and left the home. They came, unclogged and left without leaving a trace. I called this company at around 3:00 pm on a friday and was told that the technician will be there by 4:00 pm. He did not show up until 4:30 pm. The person taking the call was nice and gave me a $10 discount at $155 to clear the kitchen sink. I told him that it is on the first floor, but the building is on a slope and in back is a garage. I asked about the guarantee and was told 30 days which is pretty standard. So far so good. I had the misfortunate of being sent Trieu. He looked at the problem and said it will be $185. After a call to the office guy, it was agreed at $175. Then I mentioned the guarantee. Trieu gave me a song and dance about car repairs and said there is no guarantee because he doesn't know the condition of the pipes. By this time he had already mentioned that I should get someone else to do the job twice. (On a friday afternoon?) Then I said, "Go ahead" meaning go ahead to do the job. He did not like my attitude and did not want to clear the drain. He did not like me saying, "Go ahead". When I tried to call the office guy to verify that he did say the guarantee is 30 days, he had already left for the day. I had to inconvenient my tenant to make a call to another plumbing company. The office guy and technician should have a united front and be consistent. read more

Local Rooter got back to me fast and were able to set up an appointment for later that day (Friday afternoon before Labor Day weekend). I couldn't be happier. I called Local Rooter at about 8:30 this morning because my toilet was plugged. I plunged for over 2hrs and no way was anything moving. I was told somebody could be there between 10 and 10:30 am. Trieu was here at about 9:30 - whoever heard of someone coming early? I was happy. Johnny is the guy! My kitchen sink often backed up. Every 6 months, I called plumbing companies to snake it. 6 months later, the same problem again! This time, seeing all the good yelp reviews, I decided to give Local Rooter a try. Johnny came on time. Unlike the other professionals who immediately started snaking, he talked to me about my past experiences, what I had tried, tested several sinks, checked my crawl spaces and came to the conclusion that snaking wouldn't help much and suggested to replace 4 pipes. He also quoted me a very reasonable price. I was hesitant at the beginning and decided to give it a try. In an hour, he came back with all the materials and a helper. They together replaced the pipes. Oh man, the pipes were so stuffed. Snaking or gel'ing has no chance to fix the problem.
