Might be the Best grilled cheese and fries ever and I've reviewed 800 restaurants? Oh and there was a wonderful tomato soup with that for dipping! Oh and there was so much to eat it could have been split. Wow! I love this place. Super people behind the bar and working the floor. Even the cook was a delight to talk to. The ambiance was casual but cool enough for a great date night. And a wide selection of ales and spirits as you can see behind this historic bar.

Chicken and waffles

Cute place with great service and tasty comfort food. Hubby loved the East End Burger and post fries. Chicken and waffles were delicious as well.

My Mr. has dined here for lunch and highly recommend we check it out. We had scheduled a candle making class at Manitou Candle and wanted to eat nearby. Plus the Bengals game was on and wanted to watch it before our class. My Mr mentioned coming here and what a great recommendation. This is your basic pub and grub meals but made bistro style. They have plenty of seating and mass TVs everywhere if you want to watch a game. When it warms up, they have an outside patio that you can sit and enjoy your drinks/meals. Walked in and were seated right away. Our Server asked if it was our first time. Since it was mines, she went through the menu and told me which are best sellers, which I thought was really nice and helpful. Their menu is simple. But have a lot to offer. Appetizers, burgers, salads and pizzas. We ordered: -Slider Sampler- GOAT, East End, 1788 w/ fried -Reuben Sliders w/ house salad -Mastered Legendary Lager -Clos Du Bois Cabernet Sauvignon Wow! The sliders were amazing. I really loved the goat! The fig and goat cheese went really well with the burger. Sweet and salty goodness! The other two were not messy to eat and loved the sauce! The fries were not greasy and loved that they topped it with bread crumbs seasoning. My Mr killed his Rueben. I had a taste of it and loved the flavor! Overall it was such a great experience and the service was great! I found my fave sports bar and can't wait to come back and try the other items on the menu, especially the bruschetta!

My boyfriend and I have come to Local Post a few times because of their patio and being able to bring our pup. The food is decent and we enjoy the back patio, but I unfortunately have to write this review because of how poor the service was. I am a server myself and give people grace and patience because I know how crazy the service industry can be, but there were only 3 tables outside and it took our server 15ish minutes to greet us (no menus or 'hi welcome, how are you'). I had to ask for a water 2 times, and ended up going inside because our server never brought one and she was unable to find. There was no bussing of our table either, we had sat around a previous mess when getting there. Lastly, the beer pour. Just look at the photo and you'll see what I'm talking about. I really do want to go back for the ambience, but I would appreciate better service.

We we looking for a good burger on a Sunday. Most people are closed but not the local post. We walked and and got a spot by the kitchen window. We ordered one of everything I think the fries, burger and wings. Let me tell you, everything was amazing. We passed up on the servers suggested burger but after trying everything we order ANOTHER burger. Only complaint is we could have done without the fries, which was appetizer sized. A good problem to have lol

So I was in the east end for work and just really wanted a grilled cheese and soup. I looked up to see what was around me and this place popped up. After looking at the menu I decided to try it. Although the grilled cheese is a mix of cheeses (including goat cheese) but I figured it would be ok...I mean who doesn't like goat cheese. I ordered the grilled cheese and tomato soup. The atmosphere was nice...it's has a bar and it's pretty spacious. The food....well it wasn't bad. It was just blah....the soup was very bland and although it sounded good...goat cheese grilled cheese is not a good idea. But I was so hungry I ate it. I would them again but later in the day...like I said it wasn't bad but it wasn't that meal that I was looking for....they were being fancy and what I needed was plain jane

Great local bar to watch and game and enjoy some well crafted food. We live extremely close by and we're able to walk which makes this place even more desirable. The service was super friendly and the food is pretty good, definitely a sports bar feel but unique because of their location and building. We ordered some game-day essentials which included pizza, wings, and loaded fries. Notable findings here was the dry rub on the wings and the perfectly crisp pizza crust! We will be back for sure and look forward to trying different things on their menu.

Checked out Local Post last night with a couple of friends based on a recommendation. Let me start with, if you are looking for an awesome place to watch sports, this is it! They have TVs everywhere, a large projector, and loud sound system that allowed me to hear the game over the generally loud environment. The burger 1788 burger was big and kinda juicy. I was satisfied with it and fries. I was less impressed with the wings however. I often like dry-rubbed wings, but the seasoning on these was slightly too course causing a lack of flavor for many bites. I found myself dipping them in ketchup and ranch to add flavor. I feel like they could be improved by a finer seasoning so there is more surface area (and flavor) coverage. I would not go as far as to say they were bad, I just think they could be improved upon. If I ordered wings again, I'd probably opt for the wet variety. Our service was good for a busy Saturday night. Our waitress was friendly, kept us updated on our food timing, and offered us drinks when we were running low. I'll definitely be back to Local post as I'd really like to check out their patio on a warm day. I'd recommend this as a place for you and your friends to go and enjoy the game, have some beers and good bar food.

I was looking for a place where I could have a drink and have a casual lunch with my 3 year old. Googled a few places in my local area and this popped up. I checked the website and I am NGL...the sole reason why I came to this restaurant is because I saw that a black woman was the head chef and I inherently knew the food was going to be well seasoned and cooked to perfection. It was. I'm looking forward to coming back and sitting outside once the summer hits.

Our running group decided to have brunch after our last long run of the Flying Pig training season. We had about 14 people. We sat out on the patio and it was perfect for a nice sunny day. It has a great atmosphere. The staff were all awesome. Everyone was friendly and accommodating, especially considering we had a large group and only gave them about 30 minutes notice that we were coming. Everyone enjoyed their drinks and the food was very good. We had everything from breakfast to burgers to pizza. Their fries are probably some of the best in the city. So good. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars, and also the reason I almost gave it 3, was the speed of the service. It probably took 20 mins for our drinks to start to arrive, after ordering them (mostly beer). Our food probably took over an hour from the time of ordering. I believe they had 1 bartender and 1 cook, so it's understandable. I'm not sure if they normally aren't busy on a Saturday at noon so were struggling to keep up (there were probably 30 people on the patio alone, counting us) or if this is just the pace of things here. Regardless, we were with friends and having a blast so it wasn't a big deal. Had I been in a relative hurry my review would've been lower. At the end of the day, I recommend Local Post. It was a good time, good food, and the staff was very friendly. I'll update my review after my next visit. I have a feeling we just caught them off guard.

I couldn't wait to write this review fast enough. I absolutely love this place -- it's officially…read moremy new Cincinnati go-to spot. I don't get to Cincy very often, but I was in town for work and this happened to be the closest bar/restaurant near us downtown that looked decent. Safe to say I got very lucky. The first time I went, I ordered the chili as a starter and a chicken tender platter. And when I tell you I was so happy with both -- I mean it. I love a good chili. I grew up eating it with my grandma, and this one tasted like something she would have made. The cheese and sour cream were perfect. I'm not a huge onion guy, but even those worked well with it. Now here's the catch... it was so good that I literally went back and ordered the exact same thing again. And somehow it was even better the second time. They really outdid themselves on both dishes. One thing I noticed the second time around: I asked for three sauces right away, and they brought them out on a plate with a built-in sauce area. It was actually really convenient -- perfect if you're sharing with people. Now let's talk about the tenders. I'll start by saying I know fried chicken pretty well. Pound for pound, these might honestly be the best chicken tenders in America. The easiest comparison I can give is this: imagine if Cane's and Zaxby's had a kid and named him perfection. That's what these are. Sometimes Cane's can be a little light on seasoning, and sometimes Zaxby's goes a little heavy. These are perfectly in the middle with a great crunch and just the right amount of seasoning. Another thing I really liked about this place is the versatility of it. It feels like the kind of spot where you could do anything -- happy hour with friends, a birthday dinner, a corporate dinner, or even a family night out. I love that kind of diversity in a restaurant. Just 10/10 ambiance. And the staff were incredibly nice and welcoming, which always makes a difference. Honestly, writing this review is making me want to book a flight back to Cincinnati just to eat there again. Wow.

It was noisy, but we were able to still have a nice conversation. We got the pretzels with beer cheese and spicy mustard. The pretzel was soft, beer cheesy is gooey and so good, and the spicy mustard packed a nice punch! Will definitely recommend! I got the BRU Burger; medium well cook Taleggio Cheese, Bacon, Tomato Jam, Caramelized Onion, Chopped Lettuce, Mayo I got the tomato jam on the side because I never had it and wasn't sure if I'll like it and asked for no bun. The server was nice to offer more shredded lettuce or leaf of lettuce for my burger. The burger was well seasoned, cooked perfectly yo my liking, and to my surprise the tomato jam was delicious! Only thing is... it doesn't come with any sides, not even fries!! You'll have to add that as a side if you want fries ($2). There are other side options. Service is super good, food is good, place is clean, cocktails made well. Overall, definitely would be back next time I'm here. Sadly, I devoured my deconstructed burger before a photo could be snapped.

The seating is family style with long tables. You can order via QR codes (meh) or walk up to the side of the bar for food and drink. The manager came around and introduced himself to everyone and was all over the place. Helping in the kitchen, bar, cleaning up etc.. He's definitely an asset because he didn't disappear as the rush started coming in. The inside is nicely decorated and I was digging their Voodoo/skull theme. We settled in and watched the 4pm NFL game on one of the large TV's while chatting with some disappointed Bengals fans and locals. Beer wise they had a nice selection of classic Voodoo brews (we used to get them a lot in the Philly area several years ago), a balance of styles and some newer brews I'd never heard of. If you enjoy the dark side of beer the Where Our Secrets Go Imperial Stout was delicious and thankfully more along the lines of the traditional style Impy Stout. I had an IPA that I can't remember the name of, but it had a nice Belgian yeast/hop twist to it. My son enjoyed their root beer. Food wise the Jumbo Chicken Wings, roasted in house hit the spot, I highly recommend them. I added their Good Vibes BBQ "Sawce", but you can get them dry rubbed or chose from several other "Sawces". The wings were big with fresh meat and the sauce was great. The Pub pretzel we ordered was huge and the good vibes beer cheese complimented it well. The Mr. Pickles Fried Pickles were also a great choice for an app. They were a big portion. My friend had the Chili Mac and my son ordered the Lil Mashburgers - 2 little smashburgers oozing with cheddar & chippies off the kids menu. We ate, had a couple of beers and enjoyed our dinner at Voodoo before we explored more of downtown Cincy. I'll be honest I wanted to avoid BrewDog and Voodoo and experience home grown Cincinnati breweries, but we were really happy we stopped at Voodoo. Thanks guys you earned a fourth star for great friendly service from the manager and bartenders!!

We ordered extra hot wings, and the sauce was great but to make it "extra hot" they just added a metric ton of hot pepper or some hot seasoning, and it was nearly inedible. They brought our food all at once due to that, to include the appetizer. Service was quick but we only saw our "waiter" once to deliver our food. If we had needed refills, we wouldn't have gotten them. We didn't even get silverware and only got one appetizer plate. The ambiance was nice, it's a great looking facility. I probably won't be back though, unfortunately. Just not great enough to bother going again. We did have one beer off the draft list that was good. The dragons milk.

We were a tad thrown off with that since they literally had waiters and people roaming around, didn't make sense to me. But that was just the start! We decided to order nachos and a pretzel to start the meal. The pretzel was disgusting, hard and lacking flavor and the $14 nachos was a side plate with a small portion of nachos on it. I asked the server what was with the size of the nachos and he said he though they were normal. They aren't, you go to a normal bar and for $14 comes out a platter with nachos that are loaded. Then our mains came out, my wife's salad was gross, lacking flavor and with dry chicken and my burger was decent. For $90 this meal should have been WAYYY better. We left feeling very disappointed and will definitely not be coming back.
