Best pizza ever! Staff is friendly and helpful. Local myth has a great vibe inside and out!

Deciding on a rating for a restaurant is always hard, particularly when the choice is between four and five stars. This place gets a five star because it was not only good, but exceeded our expectations. This is a fun and busy place. We were lucky and got a seat almost immediately. Others got to wait. They have a nice selection of beers; it is not all IPAs; we enjoyed Dru Bru Kolsch, out of Snoqualmie Pass in Cle Elum. It came quickly, was cold and fresh, just as a good beer should. We ordered the combination. For the crowd and the amount of take out, I was surprised it came as quickly as it did. It was good, cooked to perfection, just a small bit of char on the crust for my wife. Her only complaint was that the mushrooms were not sautéed; I like them the way they were. The ingredients were good. Loved the sausage. There were plenty of ingredients on top, but not too many. All in all, an excellent pizza. We also ordered the Caesar salad. The server knew the size of the serving, so we did not over order. It was a good salad. This is a fun place. I can see it could get crowded during the summer; we enjoyed it very much this spring. We were exploring Chelan, walking around the shops downtown and we worked up an appetite. This place was recommended, so we stopped in. It was a great dining experience from the minute we got in the door. We were greeted by a friendly waitress, and seated quickly. One of the servers recommended a hard cider, and I was up for it. We ordered the caprese sundae to start and a meaty pizza. The caprese sundae was a feast for the eyes and was fun to eat. The flavors all came together very well and it was served chilled. Perfection. The pizza came out and they placed it on the stand, it was perfect in presentation, but man- the flavor! There was a great mix of meat with pepperoni and sausage, and it was all accented with the fresh herbs. I would describe it as fresh and satisfying. Good pizza, friendly staff. Local myth has been the pizza staple here in the valley for many years and I'm sure will be around for many more. If you're here in the summertime prepare for a long wait. We've been here numerous times over the past several years. The pizza has been pretty good. Tonight I ordered the margarita pizza and a Greek salad. Salad was excellent. The Margarita Pizza was just okay. Nothing special. The friends I was with ordered a combo Pizza. I looked over at the pizza and it appeared this toppings had just kind of been piled on top. There were no complaints on their end so I have no clue how it tasted. When We've been here during the summer time there have been times where we were smoked out of the restaurant due to what appeared to be poor ventilation from the pizzas cooking. We opted to move from inside to sit outside cuz it was difficult to breathe. That was last summer possibly two summers ago so it's very possible they've changed or updated their ventilation system. When we get pizza here we typically will order it to go and enjoy it in the park. There are limited seating options inside and during the summer there are a few tables outside. Local Myth now has a sister pizza place called Cafe Myth up at Benson Winery. I'd have to say Cafe Myth pizza is so much better than Local Myth. If you like local definitely try Cafe. Cafe has a smaller menu and their pizzas are limited in comparison but over all a better pizza with different recipes. read more

We were quoted a 20 minute wait on a cold Saturday around 6 PM. Luckily, they'll take your phone number so we walked around Riverwalk Park until we were called back. Margherita Myth, Small $13: Crust was thin and a little chewy, but burnt at all. Good ratio of sauce and cheese. I also ordered extra marinara sauce on the side to tip the crust. I'd get this again. Firecracker, Small $13: This ended up being too spicy for me, but I did like the crunchy pepperoni! The sauce is a blend of the marinara and garlic leek sauce, so I ordered an extra garlic leek sauce on the side for dipping and to try on its own. Maybe it's because the side sauce wasn't warmed up, but I wasn't really into the garlic leek sauce on its own. Since this pizza had more toppings compared to the margherita myth, the bottom crust did get more soggy so the texture wasn't as good as the other pizza. New York Cheesecake $5.25: Not awful because we did finish it, but not particularly great either. I would pass on this next time. ***** My Star Ratings: 1 Star - Terrible. Just thinking about it makes me angry. 2 Stars - Meh. Unlikely for me to return. 3 Stars - OK. Open to coming back, but wouldn't go out of my way to. 4 Stars - Yummy! Great pizza and Greek salad! We had the lunch special and really enjoyed the salads, pizza slices were good size and great flavors.

We only ordered salads for take away but they were really good! We had the Spinach Salad and the Caesar Salad. Perfect size for a light dinner and the salads were fresh, tasted amazing, and well made. Friendly staff even with the crush of people. In terms of places to eat/get dinner after a day on Lake Chelan, we've found that Local Myth Pizza is one of the best locations for this in the downtown area. We were impressed by the gourmet-style topping combinations, overall presentation, and pricing of the pizza itself; in fact, all of these things exceeded our expectations. It was convenient to make our order online and receive text updates (i.e., "Your order should be ready in 40-60 minutes"; "Great News! Your order is ready at Local Myth Pizza.") to accompany the process. When we went in to pick up the order, it was very busy inside, with the staff handling customers inside and outside along with "to go"/pickup orders. Those who assisted us were friendly and quick to see if we needed help without much effort on our end. And of course, once we returned to our condo, the pizza tasted great! read more

Stopped in after a day of wine tasting and wanted to mix it up a bit. Menu was diverse and gave the "build your own option." Had the " chicken cordon bleu," Creamy Garlic Leek Sauce, Mustard Sauce Swirl, Mozzarella Cheese, Swiss Cheese, Red Onions, Chicken and Canadian Bacon. Add mushrooms for a few bucks more. Added the mushrooms, held off on the "mustard sauce." Mustard sauce?! Really? Sounds awful (but probably good), had a build your own option as well. Saw the pizza at the table next to ours and thought, "oh ya, thin crust, now we're talking. Had been tasting wine all week so not in the mood for any more wine, so ordered something with some orange in it. A little heavier than I like but tasty. Pizza was delish, perfectly cooked, service excellent and price was fair. Will definitely go back and try something else. Certainly worth the try. read more

It's very small so the wait was long on a Saturday night. The guests were celebrating heartily so it was waaaay too loud but that's not the restaurant's fault. All that said, it was all worth it for the delicious pizza and very kind service. The favorite of the table was the chicken with white sauce, second fav was the vegetarian, and our least favorite (but still delicious) was the calzone. We will be back. read more

Spicy chicken pasta, was pretty delicious and kept its flavor while still being spicy.

I was up visiting from AZ and this was my second time here. The pizza was amazing! Perfect thickness. Not too thin or too thick. Service was fast and friendly. Also loved the outdoor seating. We ended up at Local Myth after struggling to find any local wineries that offered food who were open the week between Christmas and NY. Sad, but hey! We have been to LM before, and enjoyed the pizza. We ordered their weekly special as well as the hot/spicy pizza. We also had some of their cider draft (yuck! I have never had cider that smelled and tasted like vinegar, but that was disgusting). Then we tried the Bad Granny cider from Karma - a personal fave, as well as a glass of wine. Both of these were served in the weirdest of glasses (wine in a small upright glass/cider in a soda glass) not exactly classy. The pizza was delicious though and the atmosphere was all you would expect from a small local pizza joint. Ultimately though, the food was good, the drinks were ok and if you're looking for a chilled dinner/lunch out, then this is a good shout! read more

This is one of the popular places and food speaks for long waiting time. We ordered calzones and cheese pizza. I would've left 5 stars but I ordered pizza with Creamy Garlic Leek Sauce and they put marinara and I also ordered one of the calzones with Creamy Garlic Leek Dipping sauce and got marinara souse. We live in Wenatchee with too many pizza places to count but if we crave pizza the hour drive is 120% worth it. The staff is amazing. The beer options are local and overwhelming in sheer volume. My guy and I can't get enough of the Capri sundae to start and then always share a regular salad and medium pizza. We leave with the perfect snack for later and fat and happy walking out the door.
