A great brewery in Kern County. A must try when passing through Tehachapi.

Honey Wagon is set up in a warehouse with a small bar and about 16 beers available. I only tried one of the amber ales and the brown ale, neither of which blew me away all that much. It was a very minimal atmosphere, with music playing but most of the focus on the beer itself. On the plus side, the staff was very friendly and helpful. Prices were reasonable too. read more

Beers are really good but their cans loose their pressure when held for a little while didn't really help keep the beer fresh.

Best beer In Tehachapi hands down. Some of the best Hazy IPAs in the country. Great beer and amazing customer service. Home away from home!

Super nice people and very good beer. We had a wedding last weekend in Tehachapi and as a fun side activity we had a beer tasting during our cocktail party which featured their brown ale and their 93561. Tapped both kegs and a number of our guests went back to the brewery the next day to sample some of their other brews. Glowing reviews form all of them. read more

My favorite place to hangout at in Tehachapi. This place adds such a cool culture to Tehachapi. I love it there and once you get to drinking their beers, it is hard to go anywhere else. The music isnt loud and you can actually talk normal to people next to.you without yelling. The owner, brew master, is very dedicated to making the beer the best it can possibly be. This was NOT from a visit to the brewery, it was a visit to the Field of Drafts in Lancaster where Local Craft Beer was distributing their most amazing beer. Normally I do not go out of my way to review something that was at a festival, but LCB, their Hef beer, unbelievable! It has become one of my top favorite beers. The people working behind the counter representing LCB were very friendly as well. They showed a lot of enthusiasm for their selections. I am not on a mission to get this wonderful beer again. One way or another, although I'm miles away, I will make it happen. If you are looking for a craft taste, a taste for what real beer is like, this is your spot. read more

Great place. The beer is excellent and the staff is really nice. The crowd that comes in is great. There is a guy there named Mark with twisted tips catering. He does most of the catering when I've been in. The food is excellent and you get nice portions for a fair price. The only downfall is it closes at 8:00 and they don't have TVs. Still worth visiting though read more

This not just the worst beer I've ever had, but quite possibly the worst liquid I've ever ingested. I've tried most of their varieties and not one was any good at all. I absolutely love IPAs, but theirs is so foul I didn't even drink a quarter of it. Their hefeweizen tasted like expired beer that sat in the sun for a few weeks. Their brew master needs to find a new career because he's managed to single handedly create the absolute worst in every category of beer. I honestly didn't think you could even ruin beer this badly. One star is being generous, if I could rate them even lower, I would. It's a shame that Tehachapi's first brewery is quite possibly the worst in the history of alcoholic beverages. Edit: I've been told by a few people that it's changed ownership and has a new brew master since I last tried it. I'll have to give it a shot again and will be updating my review accordingly. read more

A gem in the hills! Tehachapi is usually just a gas stop for me on my way to Vegas but we stopped here on a suggestion from a friend I'm glad we did. We chatted with the brewer for a bit and learned a lot about the beer making process. We ended up going through three flights! Great beer, great people. This will be a regular stop from now on. read more

Mediocre. I'm very glad that Tehachapi residents are happy with it. There are some nice features inside, like the big wood clock & hewn high table along the wall. Location in an industrial building behind the Home Depot on the edge of town lacks any appeal, as does the bare interior. The industrial look is popular but this just looks... Cheap. Bartender sitting on the counter isn't sanitary. "Dog friendly" is great - on a patio. Unleashed dog running loose inside isn't "dog friendly," it's just irresponsible. I agree with prior reviews that the #2 Brown isn't bad but after tasting 4 of the other low IBU beers, it was the only one I liked. Again, I'm glad others liked HWB. Tehachapi needs a good microbrewery. It just didn't appeal to me. read more

It was hard to find and once we got there it was closed but we ended up going for lunch and coming back. There were a lot of beers to choose from and we ended up getting 2 flights (4 tasters each). The maple porter was my favorite; I think thy used too much hops (?) In the others because they all had bitter after tastes including the ones that shouldn't have. They were intereating though- i didnt try all of them but i noticed thwy had a lot of flavired beers that would be fun to taste next time im up there. The girl serving us was so sweet; I really enjoyed her company! And the atmosphere was pretty neat. read more

I stopped here on my way up to Bakersfield and it was worth the stop. They have beverages, games and wonderful customer services. They take outside food and you can get anything local sent for $5. I enjoyed the pineapple beer and the industry disrupted (both are SO AMAZING). read more

Great Micro Brewery, only bring your own meal . . . This Local Brewery, makes all it's own Brew. Most of which by my account are exotic. Some have chocolate in them, or coffee. I prefer pilsners, but I had to check this place out. There is a food truck on Friday's from 4 to (not sure when). One can bring in their own burger and fries (anything goes of course) and enjoy a brew with what ever take away one might bring. There is outside seating. They do have a Membership, it's $150 a year and you get that back in Quarterly product as per Management. They have big screen TV's, music and let's face it conversations about each and every brew on tap. read more

Great place. They have really expanded their beer selection. If you can't find a beer here that you like, then you don't really like beer. They are also great about letting your taste new varieties, which means I've never taken home a growler that I didn't love. They need food; they need food; and they need food. This place is a hidden jewel for those who appreciate really fine beer. Understated and hidden away but worth the search. Overall did not taste a marginal beer. This place just opened in October and his brews are excellent. I would recommend his Brown ale or the Red ale. The red headed step child is another good one, it's half a pint of Red Ale and half a pint of the IPA. The brewery itself does not provide food besides some pretzels, but they do have a taco guy come in now and his tacos are excellent. It was $10 for 3 big tacos and chips and salsa last time we went. You can also have food delivered to the brewery. read more

This place is great! I stopped in here with some friends during a weeklong camping trip and had some of their great beer! My personal favorite is the 93xxx Pale (I can't remember the rest of the number). The waitress is great and I even had the privilege to meet the owner briefly. Keep it up guys!
