Great lobster roll! Got free soup with it! Is similar to Cousins Main lobster. .... .. .

Super easy to order, good portion sizes, and quick service. The location is also convenient.

Great location with plenty of shops to explore, just minutes from the Coronado Hotel. Parking can be a bit challenging because the area gets busy and parking is limited to a certain amount of time. There isn't much seating, though there are a few tables outside. We ordered the shrimp roll and crab roll. Both were a little pricey and not very large, but that was expected. The shrimp was fresh and delicious, served on a perfectly toasted, buttery roll. The crab was fresh, plump, and succulent. I also really enjoyed the mac and cheese! Definitely not an everyday meal, but it makes for a great little lunch treat delicious, satisfying, and not too heavy. Definitely worth trying if you're in the area!

Got 2 of the junior lobster, shrimp and crab rolls. Sooo good nice and buttery and friendly staff too. Seated off the side of the road near ice cream and coffee. Great spot to relax for a bit before catching the sunset.

The lobster was fresh and tasted really good, so no complaints about the quality. The lobster roll had a generous amount of meat and was definitely enjoyable. That said, I think the price is quite high for what you get. The place itself is very casual and simple, so considering the overall experience, the pricing feels a bit overpriced to me.

Good vibes. Good taste. Friendy customer service. Must try. Will be come again

Lobster Roll Boss with Lobster Bisque Combo

Been a while since I did a review for our $50 eating out (dinner or lunch date) for two and maybe the $50 is way too low now a days to get a decent meal for two. So tell me if I should increase our date budget to $75. Our total billed for 2 combo meal ((classic and boss) lobster and a soup is $68. Way over our $50 dinner date budget but I will not include pricing for this review. I give this 5 star for the taste and freshness of the lobster roll. The fried bread is not oily and the crunch is just right. Tastes just like the lobster roll from the east coast. The Clam Chowder and the Lobster Bisque were both tasty and matched well with the Lobster Roll. Great place to try in La Jolla.

This place is very good. It's located in front of the street. You order at the front and they have their menu projected on the TVs. It is decorated very cute. Very submarine like I got the crab roll and the lobster roll. They're both very good. It just comes with bread the meat and some mayo, it was a really filling meal and all the rolls come with the lemon. The food also came very fast.

Lobster roll! Love the bread

One of my favorite places in La Jolla! Staff are very nice and the foods are delicious!

Cute little place at the corner. Love the service and the buns are buttery and crispy. I had lobster roll and the crab roll. Both of them are fresh and delicious! Don't miss the boss sauce! Best $1 I ever spent!

This place is so good, the size and the taste. It was out of my expectation. Good to have a try when you come visit San Diego

Lobster Roll & gluten free Crab Roll

I ordered the crab roll on a gluten free bun and the rest of my group ordered the regular lobster rolls. They were all so delicious and I appreciate that they offer gluten free bread. The rolls were buttery deliciousness of seafood. The staff are always so kind and helpful with answering questions about their allergen protocols.

The lobster is very tasty and fresh. The staff are very friendly :) nais and cozyyyyyyyyyyy

Im writing this because I wanted to point out how every time we go there, Jessica seems to be…read moreworking and she is always so friendly and attentive. She's so awesome! This place gets 4 stars- 5 if Jessica is working. We come to La Jolla from L.A. once every two months or so and this restaurant is part of the reason. I usually get the snapper sandwich with the Cajun / blackened spices and Its probably my most favorite fish sandwich I've ever eaten. The staff all look like they were born in the ocean and could surf before they could walk. One thing I did not appreciate- and this is not to get anyone in trouble but it needs to be addressed - as someone who was previously in the food industry for 10 years, the manager should really bring his employees to the side or talk quieter if he has an issue with them, not call them out on the floor within earshot of the entire patio. I'd be pissed if that was me. People can't afford to lose their job and can't say anything, so I'll say it here. Lets remember who actually makes the restaurant what it is. 10/10 WILL be back every time I'm in La Jolla.

This is a longtime fish market and restaurant that has been in the downtown La Jolla area for over…read more50 years. I believe El Pescador may have switched its physical address at some point. The current corner location had four dedicated parking spaces and one designated for the handicapped. A small outdoor back patio and covered sidewalk seating along the south edge of the building were available for al fresco dining. The inside had a row of tables along the windows and a set of high-top tables in the middle of the room. Since the business doubled as a market and restaurant, long display cases of refrigerated seafood on sale were set up next to the service counter. Menu sheets were posted on the wall adjacent to the counter, and additional items were written on a chalkboard above. The displays looked fabulous as many fresh products were laid out on crushed ice. Nearly twenty chargrilled seafood choices were offered as a sandwich, salad, or plate. Sauteed and specialty items, soups and salads, oysters and crudos, ceviches and cocktails, seafood sandwiches and salads, burros, and sides made up the rest of the categories. The line to order extended all the way to the entrance when I arrived on a weekend afternoon. It's spiny lobster season right now, and El Pescador is one of the purveyors that has this delicacy in stock. A whole grilled lobster cost about $45 which was too pricey for a lunch. I ended up ordering an 8 oz serving of Clam Chowder and a Grilled Mexican Octopus a la carte for my meal. After taking a numbered sign, I sat at a table to wait for my food. A server delivered the two items within 15 minutes. A packet of oyster crackers came with the chowder which was rich and creamy. The octopus was served as two tentacles cooked with olive oil, balsamic vinegar, and oregano. A lemon wedge was provided on the side of the plate. It was a rather simple preparation, but at least there were a couple of pieces for the price. Maybe some potatoes or a leafy vegetable would have been a reasonable side dish to the octopus which could have been cooked softer. I gave a rating between three and four stars for my visit to El Pescador Fish Market & Restaurant.

Quite casual, but very nice nevertheless. This restaurant also turned out to specialize in Hawaiian food...something I haven't had since our 2nd honeymoon to Maui decades ago!! We started with Crispy Coconut Shrimp, which was delish! Then shared this huge Rib & Chicken plate and this Vegan Ravioli dish. We were stuffed by the end of it. But then, given that they knew that this was our anniversary trip, the restaurant treated us to this amazing dessert (huge serving of ice cream with fudge etc.etc.)...and WOW! We really appreciated this generosity!! Also enjoyed their Margarita (Boomers, I think?). Service was good, but a tad slow...given how bustling the crowd was. Overall, we had a great time here (minus all the touristy picture-taking in front of us lol!).

Very articulate and thorough explaining the menu items. Great smile, and welcoming personality. We ordered the yellowtail sashimi which was my favorite. The burrata and the goat cheese salad were also delicious. The Hong Kong style Sea Bass was another favorite for me. My husband ordered the rib eye steak which he enjoyed with the lobster mashed potatoes. We finished with the banana dessert which was one of the best desserts we've ever had. The only thing that was a little less than pleasant was the stuffy musty temperature of the dining room. We sat by the window that was towards the back of the restaurant. When you first walk into the restaurant you can feel the air conditioning, but as you make your way towards the back it gets warmer and had a bit of a smell to it. I realize we are right next to the ocean where there are many animals, but I do feel that the air conditioning should be cranked up higher to make it more comfortable and fresh in the dining room. Granted, we did go on a day that had 98° weather. I'm sure they don't have that problem on a cooler day. Besides that I would say everything was perfect and I would highly recommend celebrating something here with your loved ones.

My friends had really wanted to have a cute experience and have delicious food, so when I suggested Blue Ocean/Harumama they were all in. I've been to the Harumama in Little Italy but thought that the La Jolla location would be a better option because of the views. They don't offer reservations, but the Saturday we came they had plenty of seating. You can request to be sat by the window but the wait time was almost an hour and half long. Our server was great, super sweet and really wanted to make sure we had a good time. For food, we ordered karraage, takoyaki and garlic edamame to start. The karraage was so tender and crispy and the flavor of the chicken was great. This was my first time having takoyaki and it was pretty good and the garlic edamame was perfect it had so much garlic I was really happy. For sushi, we ordered a regular spicy tuna roll, Chef's Special Roll (shrimp tempura, krab, avocado and topped with spicy tuna) and the dynamite roll (deep fried California roll with baked langoustine on top). My friend on his own got the ramen and we ordered a the pork and cow buns. The service was great food came out so quickly and our water was always topped off. The sushi was so fresh, I just wish the spicy tuna was a little more spicy. Unfortunately, the service was pretty lackluster and dampened the overall experience. Our server was wearing a name tag that said Wyatt, and when we asked, he confirmed that was his name. He didn't seem particularly welcoming or accommodating. We constantly had to ask for basic things rather than having him check in on us. Even when our drinks were empty, there was no effort to offer refills. It's those small gestures and attentiveness that really make a difference when dining out. Great Views, Great Coast Toast, but Everything Else Was Disappointing…read more The oceanfront view and the Coast Toast are honestly the only two reasons I would recommend visiting Brockton Villa Restaurant. Everything else was a huge disappointment. We ordered the Lemon Ricotta Pancakes, which were a complete bust. I've had much better elsewhere, especially for a restaurant that highlights them as one of its signature dishes. Nothing about them stood out. The Big Bad Wolf Bowl was even worse. The eggs tasted like they were made from powdered eggs rather than fresh eggs. They were bland, lacked seasoning, and desperately needed salt. The meats seemed like they were just thrown on top instead of being incorporated into the dish. There was no balance of flavors, no real effort in the preparation, and nothing that made the bowl enjoyable. To top it off, the Bloody Mary was watered down and lacked flavor. Another disappointment. For a restaurant in such a beautiful location, I expected much better quality and attention to detail. The food simply did not live up to the setting or the hype. My recommendation: Go for the ocean view, order the Coast Toast, and skip everything else. Unfortunately, the location is doing most of the work for this restaurant. Service was ok
