0 stars I've been dealing with their bs for almost 2 years I got behind on payments I told them I would surrender the vehicle just give me time to clean it out. The lady says sure just give us a call back when you do less than 4 days after that I'm almost done cleaning it out they come repo it with my belongings in it. I seen someone mention payments and how it doesn't goes to the principal and they're right. I gave them $4,000 within a year and my credit report is saying $323 got paid to the principal of the vehicle so that means lobel pocketed $3,677 that was supposed to go towards to vehicle and then their saying even they have the vehicle I still have to pay on something I'm not in possession of no more. read more

UPDATE: So I'm currently having my check garnished to pay off this damn company. I called the Sheriff Civil Division that's doing the garnishment to get an updated amount owed. When I thought I owed under $2k, they told me it was over $5k! I just found out that they're charging 10% interest DAILY! I've basically paid $2.7k in interest for 1.5 years!! Lobel go! for the simple fact that they gave me a car loan and I mean, my credit is shot to hell beyond belief. Yes the interest is like 21% but I needed a new car and I won't be caught dead walking. I make sure my payments are made a month in advance because if you are 2 days late they will repo you vehicle, sorry but I watched too many repo shows to never get myself in that kind of position. Now as for the customer service when you go in to make a payment no one really acknowledges you unless you say something, and the employees are kind of ghetto and unprofessional and the staff also seems a little sketchy. I wouldn't use Lobel ever again. It was my GF actually. She sold her car and wanted to pay it off to release the title. You can only pay $1000 over the phone. After that was told we could go pay the rest with a cashiers check at local branch and they'd release the tittle in 10 days. (Not to mention never had so many "dropped calls" while being placed on hold. Basically just get hung up on) So we got everything and drove there. Now they're saying 21 business days before the release it. Almost a full calendar month. Just getting the run around it seems. I got married and immediately notified Lobel of the name change. had to fax the marriage certificate to Lobel no once but 3 different times then ended up mailing the certificate in january 2019 In February of 2020 I paid the car off in person lol my husband gave them a check for 2400.00 they made my husband write a check for 1 penny mind you no cash took 3 weeks to get the Title ( maiden ). Problem is they never notified DMV of the name change So now I have to go through the DMV.. Tiffany in the legal Dept said they do not notify DMV of the name changes.. Minus 5 stars is what this unprofessional place gets from me and my daughter. They charge 10$ for each payment made over the phone, and no option to pay online. The customer service is mostly bad, but now and then you'll get a friendly person. On multiple occasions we tried to set up the account for both of us to be able to call in payments, but it was difficult and they always said they didnt have the info, eventhough we know for sure we faxed the info they needed. Everything with them is tedious, time consuming and completely frustrating. You will find yourself explaining things over and over to each new operator. Also, eventhough my daughter didn't keep up on her car payments, she called to tell them she was having a hard time making payments because she had to try to get the car fixed or save to buy another one because it broke down and was going to cost her 3k to get it fixed. Of course they didn't care, and she continued to not be able to make payments and eventually they repossessed the car. This is understandable, but the overall theme here is that, all along, the experience has been unprofessional, unkind and they are thief's (taking 10$ for each payment!) and very poor listening skills and communication. So, we thought we would get a bill for the balance of the car, but eventually they tried to file court papers for payment! Really, who does that? She only owed about 4k in the first place. Don't most car places write off repossessed cars anyhow? This place is not recommended by me and many others. The owners are probably greedy, selfish and of course we know unprofessional. All you have to do is provide insurance and registration in the beginning and continue through the duration of the loan. Pay your payment every month on time, you will never have an issue! If all of the above has and is being done, then no problems, ever! I don't even know who works in the office, because I do what's expected of me, after getting a loan on something I needed from Lobel. Your car getting repoed is your fault and your fault only, you just admitted to withholding a payment. If your toilet wasnt working in your apt, house etc... Would you withhold rent? No! I hope not! When you owe money to a finance company, or any business for that matter, there is absolutely no leeway on payments. You pay the payment on or before the day it is due. ONE late payment is reason to repoe or stop services and such on anything! By now, that car has been cleaned, flipped and back on the lot for sale. After already getting what the car is worth in down payments, from ignorant people who impulse buy, and go way beyond their means. As far as the interest, you agreed upon that and signed all the paper work. You didnt have to except that offer. But, you at 20 wanted to look cool in your BMW and didn't care. I spoke with Nancy today in customer service with Lobel Financial. This is one of the rudest, unprofessional, unepathtic, bully, non listening, non customer service ever hired for customer service! I was late making a payment due to being on disability. Disability gets paid twice a month. I told her a week prior I can not make payment until the 14th. She ask was it possible to use post dated check. I told her no it was not possible. She calls today and said I was going to make payment before 14th. Was very rude and would not listen, threaten me that she did'nt no what would happened now. Wake up call Nancy! If you would check your notes on the computer, it would show that I had been in the hospital due to a medical, and been dealing with this for the last six months and still recovering. Not that I should have to explain. But I had my toes amputated due to infection, plus ulcers in esaufucus due to stress. I started a loan with Lobel for a 06 BMW 750i, dealership had to reverse the sale because the car wouldn't pass smog. Lobel gave ME a late charge on that account. I never even took possession of the car!!! I made payments while the dealership tried to fix the car!!! Never made a late payment. The dealership took too long to refund lobel the money after they determined they couldn't fix it, after they were informed that the sale was illegal due to california law requiring smog of any sold vehicle and that the dealership needed to void the loan. The dealership had to find me a replacement car. They found me a 06 BMW 335i in perfect condition. Lobel then started a new loan and kept all the payments on the car I never received and wouldn't transfer the payments over. I then made all of my payments on my new car on time and then paid the car off completely, I now own my vehicle outright and am free of Lobel Financial. After paying off the car they started their BS stating they couldnt do the title transfer because they didnt have my address. They had no problem sending my monthly statements to me at my address but when I was done with them they all of a sudden didnt know the address to complete the title transfer. I then had to send a demand letter to force them to release the title. I now have my title and am free of this horrible company. The interest rate and forced insurance the make you pay through them is just insane. STAY AWAY FROM THEM. I never had any repossession issues as I paid always on time. I waited until I had my title to write this review so they didn't drag their feet any further with finishing my title. read more

These people are crooks financed a car total loan 7000. Paid 350 for 16 months totaling 5600 bucks wife had to quit her job because she was diagnosed with MS and I got laid off got 45 days behind. I have financed other cars and never had an issue bumping a payment to the end of the loan but these guys took our car after they said we had 45 more days before they would and also found out the 5600 we sent them only knocked the loan down from 7k to 5300 how does 5600 given to them only pay for 1700 towards the principal of the loan? I bought a 2004 bmw 545i from pedys auto 18months ago, from day one the car had been giving me trouble, the recommended mechanic from the dealer never was able to help and was sketchy from the 1st meeting... the car ended up costing me several thousands dollars in repairs and now the last straw of 8K bill for repairs I cannot afford that... the main reason I traded my lexus in for this bmw was to have a nicer reliable car... the car pedy sold me was nothing but trouble... even the warranty that was sold with the car was never active so all the repairs i had to pay out of my own pocket... pedy wont step up to the plate and help with any of the cost.. the car is a lemon and i have to surrender it to the bank because I do not see a reason to pay 8K for repairs on something that is not worth it.... I expect pedys auto to take full responsibility because they never activated the warranty nor did they ever step up to help.
