The reason for the bad review is because of the barista/cashier. She was very blunt and unfriendly. This is the local favorite in vail. I really recommend their chai tea latte. It's super sweet and the perfect sugar rush and energy boost to get back on the slopes. They even serve sandwiches till 1pm. They have delicious, fresh baked and flaky croissants. You can substitute your sandwich bread for a croissant and pay only a buck extra for the bread upgrade. It's bit hidden. You have to go to the from vail entrance near the main bridge. It's the first shop you will see when you walk through the bridge. I saw the sign for this place every time I walked into the village. I finally went in on my last day at Vail after a stupid injury prevented me from snowboarding any more that day. I was looking for a place to chill and drink hot chocolate so I went in here thinking it was a Starbucks-like coffee shop. Wrong! It was more like a mini hipster bar that happens to serve coffee. Minimal bar stool seating. Sports playing on the tv. Instead of ordering something to drink, for some reason, I ended up getting a turkey club. Ten dolla sandwich?? Aiya! I wasn't even hungry. I was sort of expecting a typical sandwich, but it was actually pretty good. Came with bacon and guac! It had too much Dijon mustard, which overpowered the other flavors. Oh me oh my we went here yesterday on our tour of Vail. There was some sort of festival going on and we stopped by. At first it seemed like your typical run of the mill place... but don't let the size of cafe fool you. Order the chicken fingers they are spiced very well and the fries were amazing. I've been to Vail hundreds of times and never had the need for a coffee shop like this until I couldn't ski. Loaded Joe's is a big improvement to the Starbucks that used to be in this location. Their coffee is all freshly made and I enjoyed their cappuccino a lot. Considering the area, the pricing is very reasonable. The coffee drinks range from $3-$6 and their food $7-$13. Although I didn't try any of the food, I heard other customers saying that they loved their food. They have simple breakfast options and sandwiches perfect for a healthy meal before skiing or enjoying Vail. The staff is friendly and very quick to serve your coffee or food. They have free, secured WiFi, you just have to ask for the password. I do wish there was more seating available inside. There are 3 bar height tables, one small bar area, and 4 cozy chairs. If you find a seat, it's a great place to hang out! I'd love to try it out aprés ski for the bar in the future! read more

The fact that this coffee shop still opens at 9pm (and until 2am) in Vail deserves some credit. The staff is super chill and friendly, we didn't get to try the smoothies because they ran out of the ingredients, it's a busy weekend at Vail, so that's understandable. We ended up ordering the chai latte and soy latte. Soy latte was smooth and not very strong but that's good for me, however, the chai latte was very sweet and some might say, too sweet. We also ordered a cinnamon roll, but it didn't have a great taste, it's just buttery. Overall experience was good, so it's a four star for quick service and convenience, would come back for another time to try the rest. read more

We ordered creamy mac & cheese and got EZ mac or so it tastes. It was obviously packaged. We also ordered hummus and it tasted like Sabra. We had guacamole that tasted like it came from a tube. None of the food is made by hand unfortunately. That said the veggie wrap tasted good despite prepackaged stuff. I did not try coffee which is probably why this place has better reviews. I stopped in for a cappuccino after skiing. It had a great flavor (and they drew a little heart on top!). The price was a bit expensive (but this is to be expected for Vail) - $3.25 for a small (8oz). The only downside to this place is that it is always busy inside and there is limited room for standing or sitting. Worst experience ever on 12/29! There was a very rude male staff member preparing food items. I watched him make my food with no gloves abs his mask down around his neck, huffing and puffing and offering curt responses to customers. We came here on a Sunday during the farmers market and they were quite busy, I understand that for the line not to get backed up they have to take your order as fast as possible but it felt very rushed. I did ask if I could get my breakfast sandwich on a bagel, which must be something of annoyance that they get asked a lot because the girl taking our order was not happy and let me know that they don't do bagel sandwiches, no big deal I took the $9 sandwich the way it comes, I also got a small latte and they do remind you that it comes in an 8oz cup which is very small, my boyfriend got a mocha and breakfast burrito that was $11 and for the sauce they use a spicy ketchup instead of a salsa or green chili which was awful and he couldn't finish it. I don't mean to sound entitled but when spending $30 on two drinks and two to go breakfasts, you just expect better. read more

Vail is a small skiing town in Colorado just about 100 miles east of Denver. Make sure you park in the parking garage just past the two "roundabouts" from the off ramp(there's absolutely NO parking near Loaded Joes). I wanted to stop somewhere that wasn't a McDonald's or Taco Bell, AND also had good coffee. After an hour of driving, "Loaded Joes" was the spot we picked and I am quite satisfied with our decision. It's located in a small room down a slightly lower level on Bridge St. There's was a lovely young woman(working completely solo!) taking orders and making breakfast burritos & sandwiches. I ordered a drip French Roast and was very well pleased on how fresh the coffee tasted. I also ordered a "Loaded Burrito" and my wife a poppyseed bagel with peanut butter. The food & coffee(not to mention the great attitude of the barista, working totally alone) put me in such great mood that I also paid for a root beer and peanut butter cookie on the way out.
