Llumetec Solar were quick to install my system with quality workmanship. I am extremely satisfied with the job and will recommend them to all wanting to reduce their electric costs to zero. Ron and Bryn are a class act and the installers were top notch. This company is highly recommended by me. I couldn't be happier. read more

Similar to previous review. Battery was incorrectly installed in June 2020 which damaged the battery. The new sub removed the battery and sent back to LG for repairs. The repaired battery is just now back with the new sub but Robin Schneider won't return emails or calls to authorize the reinstall. Also, part of our agreement to keep me from suing back in October 2020 was he would cover the payments until the battery was functioning. 18 months later, he cannot be found. Llumatec/PSG construction is now apparently owned by Sunternal, according to Esmeralda, and Llumatecs' contractor license was ended in July 2021. read more

After much research and referrals, I selected PSG Build/IIumetec based on a trusted referral. Unfortunately, we have been extremely disappointed with our solar battery and panel install. Working with Ron Monatlik in the sales process was great and the solar panel install went very smoothly. However, the troubles began a year later when we contracted for the battery install. The crew that came to do the work did a very poor job, left our walls not finished properly and ultimately the battery has never worked. We had four major appliances lined up to work when the power was down. During the summer of 2020, those four items, never had power. When power was restored to the rest of the house, those four appliances would not return. We felt totally defeated and confused as to why the battery did not function. After chasing Robin Schneider, the owner, over multiple months, he finally sent an independent consultant to review his team's work. The independent consultant stated, "this was all wired incorrectly". For a short time, the battery appeared to work. Fast forward to March 2021, Robin's team notified us that they did not think the battery was working. In fact, they were correct that the battery was offline (no power, no error message). We have made repeated request to Robin, Bryn, Esmeralda and Ron to address the situation with no response. In fact, Robin, Bryn and Esmeralda have gone completely silent. Ron, responded to my text two weeks ago stating that Robin would reach out. As you can guess, no outreach from Robin to date and we are now in 2022. I don't often write reviews but I felt I needed to warn others of this company. We totally had the bait and switch working with sales to install. This is really disappointing and we are out a lot of money with no remedy or plan in sight. The owner, Robin, won't even do us the courtesy of returning our emails and calls. Stay away! read more

If I could I would add another star. The reviews to date stated exactly our experience. We have 5 residents in a gated community that chose Llumetec. Our HOA process is nothing but complicated and detailed. Llumetec met every requirement and did so promptly. Also they stayed with you helping and facilitating until the City provides the approval permit. You can have confidence in their products, service and competence in installing. read more

We had a great experience working with Ron. Explained everything to us and when it came to install, it got finished in 1 Day. They handled everything and it wasn't long before we were earning credits. We would highly recommend for anyone interested in solar. read more

Our backup system has failed multiple times. Ron was all smiles at first before we signed the contract but has either not been responsive or has been belligerent, saying "not my problem" when asked to fix things. Bryn was wonderful, but I would not recommend doing any business with Ron whatsoever. It's my understanding that he is involved with other solar companies now. Don't go with him. read more

From beginning to end this project went smoothy. Everything was explained to me nicely. Solar panels are low profile with trim, they look great. Ron and Bryn returned my texts and emails almost immediately. Great job! read more

llumetec - Solar panels - Solar Installation Near Me

From the very beginning Ron made the process so clear and easy to understand. They provided private funding for the installation and gave us the option of paying it off or interest only until we were ready to pay off. The installation project manager Bryn was amazing. She coordinated everything right in the middle of the pandemic and the installers handles everything professionally and without any contact to us. Even after installation if we have questions on how to read the online usage report or any question at all, they are ready and willing to answer our calls. I would definitely recommend them! Everything they promised, they delivered! read more

From the time LLumetec was contacted, we received nothing but positive, quick solutions to a difficult situation. Because I'm in a condo with stringent HOA rules , there were many hoops to go through and LLumetec was excellent in dealing with whatever came up. Many other condo owners in my complex had months if not years in trying to get solar, where as, LLumetic drove this project quickly and perfectly. I highly recommend Bryn Schneider, the Project Manager of Llumetec, who is extremely efficient. Needing Solar, go with LLumetec. read more

Ronnie, and his team did a great solar install. The team seems to have lots of experience. I did a lot of research and couldn't find the company that cared to listen to our needs. I was lucky enough to be referred to Ronnie from a friend of mine who knew I was in the market. Ronnie took the time to listen and address all of our concerns, he was very flexible with scheduling and timeline. Working with Bryn, the project manager to finalize permitting and install was simple and efficient. Every email responded within minutes. Thank you team llumetec for amazing value and service. read more

STAY AWAY! They are horrible, not responsive and they cause damage to the building. Do not do business with these people they are the worst company you can imagine. They did not install the boots on the roof which caused major water damage with the recent storms. read more

I have nothing but positive comments for the Llumetec company and the representative that I primarily dealt with, Ron Monatlik. Ron had a zero pressure sales approach from beginning to end which was greatly appreciated since literally every other company in the field sent salesman with the usual phony tactics and silly manipulations. Ron did not insist on any sort of personal visit, offered a price roughly half of most of the other companies, and was in absolutely no hurry to make the sale. He did not try to pass off low quality materials as many other companies did, and was flexible throughout the process. The installers were were able to accommodate several schedule changes that were necessary on my end and finished the work quickly after it was begun. The installation has a clean look and the installers were able to make a slight modification to avoid a roof vent without incident. At the conclusion of the project the company shared the monitoring information with me and the system is producing as expected. The company dealt with all the pg&e and permitting details and virtually nothing was required of me throughout. Highly recommended. -Sam Grobe-Heintz Castro Valley, CA read more

Ron's a nice guy. He gave confidence that my Solar experience would be positive. l liked his assurances.

Working with Ron Monatlik, the purchase of our solar panels was an easy, efficient process and we appreciated his brief, relaxed and friendly sales presentation. Llumetec worked closely with us to ensure the optimal placement of the panels that was also aesthetically acceptable. The panels blend in well with the roof and they have proven to be more efficient than we could ever have imagined. Our electric bills have gone from $600+ to a negative number this month. We have been very impressed with the company's communications, equipment, and service. read more

A little over 2 years ago I purchased a solar system from these guys. They did a great job all around but the reason I'm writing this review now is because of the service they provided me last week when I called about my monitoring system. The monitoring system stopped responding so I gave them a call and spoke to Robin. He sent a technician to my house 2 days later and we figured out that my WiFi monitoring device had failed. The device is under warranty by the manufacturer but they went ahead and put in my warranty claim for me instead of just referring me to them, replaced the failed unit and got me back up and running. A lot of companies take care of you before they collect your money but these guys went out of there 2 years after the fact which was great to see. read more

I talked to PSG construction (CSLB 99265) about solar and asked if they used subcontractors and Ron Monatlik, sales person, assured me that they did not. When I got the quote, it came from a company called Llumetec. Ron explained that Llumetec (CSLB 1029503) was a partner of some sort with PSG. Ron was very patient with me because I had to cancel a few times because of what was going on in my life at the time. I decided to go ahead and use them for my solar. On 3-17-2021 I gave Ron a check for $1,000.00 dollars. Ron never provided the Claifornia Solar Consumer Protection Guide until the contract was sent, this should have been given to me on the first contact when he came to my door. When I received the contract and it was with a company called Sunternal Construction (CALB 1036536). This started getting me worried that there were so many companies involved and I did not feel Ron was being up front. The contract did mention the number of panels and inverters, however it did not have the model, manufacture or wattage of either the panels or inverters to be used. After some research and finding disturbing comments, I made the decision to not sign the contract. I contacted Ron on 3/23/21, that I was not going to sign the contract. This was followed by verbal abuse and cussing from Ron. To the point that I told him that if he continued the call was over. I emailed Ron on 3/23/2021 asking for the return of my deposit by 4/6/2021, giving him 10 working days to return the deposit. The date of 4/6/2021 came and went with out receiving the $1,000.00 deposit from Ron. I sent another email on 4/6/2021 telling him that If I did not receive the deposit back by the close of business on 4/7/2021 I would take action. I waited to see if it would get returned by 4/9/2021, due to the mail system. It is now 4/12/2021 and I have not received or heard from Ron or PSG construction or Llumetec. read more

OK, let's talk solar. First off let's acknowledge that I have been on this earth for 44 years and have never publicly recommended anything in my life. So you know I'm not messing around when I say our solar experience was amazing. My husband and I did a ton of research, interviews and received several quotes. We had companies that were on the low end, middle and high end of pricing. We looked at small companies and large companies. So let me save you some time and tell you to just call Ron at Llumetec Solar. Why do I recommend him? Well, so glad you asked! First off, Ron is an awesome partner at Llumetec . We had direct access to him. He came to our house and explained the process with us. It was like talking to a friend. There was no BS and he was a straight forward guy. There were no sales guys or gals trying to sell us on what they learned in training. Ron is a man that has been in this business for many years. He knows his stuff first hand. He also knows his competition. Which he doesn't to need to compete with. Because he doesn't have to! He will tell you exactly what you need and will even talk you OUT of buying more panels if he thinks you don't need them. We thought we needed them and Ron was great at educating us on the panels and why or why not we would need x amount. That was just another thing I loved about him. He showed us his integrity when he said down the road if we ever wanted to change or add to our system, he would be right there to guide us through it. That gave us peace of mind for the future. I'll be honest, he not the cheapest but he was not the most expensive. He was by far the most trustworthy solar guy we met. He offers great financing with several options. He went over other companies quotes that we had already received ( because we asked him to ) and he explained the good and bad of each one. Things we didn't even understand to consider because we don't speak " solar ". It was very educational and eye opening how the business works and what to expect in the future. We never once felt pressured by him to sign a contract. There was no quota he was trying to make. He didn't bug us with constant calls, emails or texts like other companies. He was willing to answer our questions by direct text or email which was our preferred way of communicating. He also answered our calls or called back in a very timely manner whenever we needed to speak to him. It was a really easy and stress free sales process. Once we signed our contract Llumetec got right to work. The process of dealing with the city and installation was basically non existent on our part. His team kept us informed every step of the way. They dealt with all the paperwork, applications and permits. We would receive emails on a weekly bases of where the project was and what was next. We were immediately notified when the next stage was happening. I was amazed how quick everything happened. Every worker that came to our house was respectful, kind and friendly. There were times I never even knew they were there! They cleaned up so well, I never saw a trace of them being there. But the work was done! When we received our first bill I was in shock! Just to give you an idea, our PG&E bills ( including gas and electric )for the month of July last year and the year before were around $750 each. This year it was $150 ( including gas!) I was blown away! Summer time is our most expensive time. We use our air conditioner and have a pool. I can't wait for winter when we will be using less electricity and getting a credit from PG&E. Ron explained that those credits will off set the summer months so by the end of the year our electric bill could be a big fat ZERO! It's amazing! We have not had any issues with our system. They offer an online portal that helps us keep track of our usage etc. Our experience with Ron and Llumetec has been nothing but stellar. So stellar that our parents, and several friends have now gone through purchasing solar with Ron at Llumetec. They have all had the same amazing experience. So do your research with other companies if you must but once you meet Ron at Llumetec it will be a no brainer. At this rate our solar will have paid for itself in less than half the time of other solar systems. It's like Christmas every time we open a new PG&E bill. Ron and our experience with him was really a breathe of fresh air. read more

After obtaining bids and information from multiple big name companies I couldn't have been happier with Ron and his knowledge. He had listened to my concerns, due to the previous corporations informing me they could only provide a potential offset of 40% of my current utilitie bill due to satellite pictures showing only a small amount of roof space for them to place panels. Ron had let me convey my concerns while he frantically worked, finally informing me he believed he could provide an 80% offset and would guarantee that by having an individual out the following day to confirm his plan. I couldn't have been happier with his personal approach vs. rushing through based on satellite pictures. As promised he had someone out the following day that confirmed his thoughts. Due to our interaction, his knowledge and competative quote I felt very comfortable making my decision to follow through with llumetec. Throughout the installation process Ron made me feel as if I was the only customer he had, he answered or immediately replied to every call and question I had. He was present during the installation process ensuring his word was fulfilled. Due to Rons knowledge and professionalism I have not only recommended him to friends but have had them also use Ron in securing their solar needs. Thank you Ron for being true to your word and treating me as a valued individual. read more
