We bought flooring that took over a month to arrive. The store closed for a day after all employees quit or were fired. I walked in the store along with another couple . The other couple was greeted and showned different floors. We walked around the store for about 5 minutes and not once did anyone greet us or explain the different type of floor. Another couple walked in and they were greeted and shown around. Now what's wrong with this picture? It's it because we were a young black couple and the others were older white couple that we didn't deserve to be greeted or is it that we couldn't afford the floor. read more

We just purchased flooring here this morning, Stephanie was great, she found us the best price on what we were looking for, and never pressured us into buying anything out of our price range or more than what we needed. I originally planned on buying everything at homedepot but decided to stop here because my uncle had a great experience here and loved his floors, so glad I did! I ended up finding a better quality thicker flooring for less than what I was going to spend at Home Depot and I loved the looked and coloring of this one better, so a better look, better quality, and a better price. Plus the customer service was wonderful here she was very helpful and knowledgeable, at Home Depot it was hard to even find an associate to help and when I did no one even knew anything about flooring or they didn't want to help. Buyer beware. I got a good product at a great price, however their sales practices are very misleading and caused me to purchase much more material than I needed. When I went to the store I already had measurements and knew what I needed. The store representatives misled me into thinking that I needed more product than I truly needed. I don't do this kind of work for a living and needed professional and ethical help to stay within budget and get the job done right. Instead they encouraged me to buy too much product. And since it was on sale there was a no return policy. If you do use them, use an installer who does not work for them and do not trust their up-selling business practices. My husband and I have been to a lumber liquidators before and this one was horrible service. We walked in took a look around we had questions and no one even paid any attention to us. They just gave us dirty looks. So we left. Prices were fair. I'm a big service person. If you do not greet me when I come in that is my first impression of your exblishment. read more

In store service was great. Estimate was odd, we had someone come in and do the first estimate and we contacted the store after that to add some more base and crown moldings. They sent a a different estimator who said he couldn't find our first estimate so he'd just do all the measurements again. As I was emailed the first estimate I matched it up to the second one and the second one's price per sq ft and installation costs were completely different and so much more expensive. The manager could not explain why that happened but honored the first quote. Cut to 1.5 yrs later and our floor still isn't fully installed... we are waiting today for the installer to show up yet again. I've called my contact and left a message and then the manager and left a message and I still haven't heard back from anyone and still no installer. We had our carpet put in by a local business in New Braunfels (Hoffman Floors) and they were amazing and comparable costs. Stay away from LUMBER liquidators. All I can say is I think there are a couple good employees and the floors are lovely but I would not recommend them or use them again. read more

I agree with Jesse. The initial in store service was great! After we paid it was like incompetence set in. Took the installer 2 weeks to call us back. This was after my husband threatened to return all the flooring if we couldn't get a call back to at least schedule something. The day they showed up to install they arrived an hour and a half earlier than they said. (We were still showering for the morning!) Then the installers said that the underlayment should have been given to us. It was not included in the contract. After all this though, we got the floors in and they looked fantastic! read more

We purchased a small amount of wood floor and some stair steps, they came out and measure and recommended what and how much we needed. Long story short we ended up with the wrong treads, I called in to have them switched, Rich was very unprofesional and basically hung me up the phone, I drove to the store to clarify things up and THANKFULLY Victor was there, he went above and beyond the call of service, truly a life saver, he is the only reason the I put 3 stars, other than him, I wouldn't reccomend buying in that store read more

This is a mixed review. The manager of the store is extremely helpful and knowledgable about the products and application. I purchased flooring a few months ago to the tune of about $2600 and I was getting all the materials / equipment together to install it over the coming weekend. After looking all over for the correct trowel (with no luck), I called for assistance in locating one through LL. When I called (repeatedly) and had to guide John through their own website, he told me he couldn't help me and that he couldn't talk because he had people on the showroom floor --- and then HUNG UP ON ME. John is clueless, in my opinion, and needs tremendous assistance in understanding on customer service. He is more concerned about making sales TODAY than taking care of someone that has already paid. If you have to buy from these guys, ONLY deal with the manager -- no one else seems to care at this store. read more

Great staff very helpful and they do not work on commission. So I did not feel pressured, helped me fine the best choice for my situation. I had them come to my home and do a measurement and estimate the costs of an install. I was pleasantly surprised by how much lower in cost they were to their competitors. First experience a few months ago the installers stole $200 cash from a bedroom they were working in. A couple of months later I purchased hardwood floors and requested a different company to install as I didn't want the first company in my house anymore. After installers came to measure I later paid by phone of what I thought was the entire balance. After two weeks of me calling on four different occasions to see when the installer would call me to schedule the installation appointment, I was finally told that I needed to pick up the glue first and pay a small $55 balance before the installer would call me. I wasted two weeks of having the hardwood floors sitting in boxes in my house to acclimate while this whole time I've been waiting for the installer to call me and just now given the correct information of how the process works. Do not use Lumbers Liquidators. The store management at the Selma location is terrible. The installation department is terrible. There is absolutely no follow up and the corporate offices aren't any better. They initially were great. They assisted with the sales and install. But after they take your money they disappear. I have had an open file since January and it's now June. All I needed was a minor repair. They have chosen to ignore me and now I'm very upset. Call corporate and they want you to fill out a bunch of forms and take pictures. The local store already knows the problems that exist. I'm not done with them yet. I believe they think that by ignoring me I will give up and go away. They are wrong. I suggest homeowners take their business to a locally owned business with proven service. Avoid my headaches. read more

Based on previous business with LL in Colorado we chose them for a new hardwood floor in Fall '13. The estimator did a good job, the flooring material was good quality (although from CHINA) and affordable (b/c from China). The installation was the WORST workmanship I have ever experienced in 20 yrs of home ownership. Resolution of the poor installation was only achieved because I didn't want them in my house anymore after over 2 mos. If you buy product from them, DO NOT let them install it. read more

There is a great selection and some good quality products, but service is absolutely horrible!! We went to the store a handful of times trying to decide on flooring and several of those times we walked out after about 20 minutes of not being acknowledged. A simple, "I'll be right with you" would suffice, but nothing. Now I am stuck with 4 leftover boxes because I was told I can bring them back and exchange them for transitions anytime as long as they aren't opened. Went in today and was told something completely different. If you like quality flooring, but don't care about service, this is your store. Service is a major part of why I shop where I do and because of that, I will never buy anything from here again. read more
