Where we live we have a huge wasp population (I think I have seen every species possible flying around) so we wanted to avoid open bottom lights as we had issues with wasps building nests in them. Also my husband made it even harder as he didn't want, plain black with clear plain glass, which of course is most the current style. Both Lori and Tracey helped us out. We sat looking at lots of catalogs, checking online. We spent a long time in the store and they were very patient with us. We even found some that we liked, but they were super expensive (of course the catalogs don't have prices, they have to sit with a computer to assist) as we needed 7 lights even they knew that would not be a good pick and we continued searching. We eventually were successful, they ordered our lights and within a week they were ready for pick up. They recommended 2 electricians for us, one they felt especially suited our needs after talking with us. We got quotes from a few local electricians as we live further out, but we also got one from the guy they recommended: Mark from Monocacy Electrical & Lighting Services LLC. He was the most friendly and knowledgeable guy and fairly priced, we used him and were quite happy! Our lights look fantastic, we were very happy with the whole experience. Except the Ouch to the bank account, s there lighting is much more expensive than shopping at Home Depot, but there lighting is unique and fantastic. You get what you pay for as they say.

Bill, the master electrician, is quite knowledgeable on all of the various aspects of the electrical code, as well as the various approaches that we could use to conform to it (as well as the ways in which less scrupulous electricians might try to skirt the safety rules). The both of them were even here at the house when the county electrical inspector arrived to give him the technical information he needed about the work they did for me, and he was really impressed with the quality of the job they did. We have had them run a 50 amp line for an electric stove, install electrical boxes in our bedrooms for fan/lights and install the fans. Great quality work and they really leave the area clean. They even suggested a dual switch so we have a button for light and another for fan. Both buttons have a switch to control light dimming or fan speed. Gone are the days of guess which chain to pull and how many times to get the desired light and fan speed combinations. We will definitely use them for future work.

Incredibly overpriced in my opinion along with other electrician company I contacted. But honestly that wasn't the main issue. This was maybe the most annoying and oddest consultation of my life. From the very beginning I was being very clear that I only wanted my outlets replaced, nothing else. I reiterated this verbally in person. The technician, kept on trying to sell me a membership and additional services. I would say "I just want my outlets fixed" and then he would completely ignore me and go on to sell me about replacing the circuits. This happened over and over again. I would say "please I don't want this service" and then he would just go right back to other services. I actually couldn't believe what was happening. I was incredibly uncomfortable the entire time. For the 4th time, I was again very direct in not wanting any additional work. I literally said "I do not care for anything but the outlets". But he just didn't care and kept going for 15 minutes about working on my panel. Like oh my god, what is happening. It was additionally rude when I told him I was on a time crunch but then he still spent 30-40 mins creating an additional 4 quotes for the work that I insisted I didn't want. They straight up did not care about me and what I wanted. He kept saying I'm the top priority while also completely disregarding what I do not want. If a customer tells you to stop, please stop. I was incredibly upfront with the services that I wanted but this guy was on a mission to charge me $9356. I ultimately didn't continue with this company and reached out to another one who did the work for $300, which was the quote I also received from other electricians in the area. I truly do not know how they justify charging $2807 for only 6 outlets. Listen to the other reviewers. I had the same experience of the worker just looking for upgrades rather than what I called for. He spent nearly 20 minutes analyzing my electrical panels to see where he can charge me additional services after I just told him I only want the outlets. Stop trying to phrase this is for your customers when you blatantly ignore their needs and wants. This was such a weird experience and I lost $89 for the dispatch fee.

They patiently answered all of my questions. I felt involved at every stage in the process. They showed me the work once it was done, and made sure not to leave until we had plugged back in everything inside the house and made sure it had all come back. It was a masterclass in customer care. What do I mean by this? I had asked that the breakers in my box be identified with which part of my home they turned on/off. We bought the house as a flip and my home inspector missed that almost nothing in my breaker box was properly identified to a part of my home. Abby did this-using a labeller. I can easily identify what is linked to which part of the house. No having to guess a person's handwriting. It is such a relief to open the panel and immediately know what connects to where. And she carefully walked me through-twice-the newly identified breaker labels. When Abby set up motion sensor lights for the room where I have my furnace to replace bulbs operated with pull chords, she asked me first which setting I wanted the sensors on before installing them. Plus she left me the instruction manuals. She did not need to do this. she went the extra step. Jorge did a beautiful job in my laundry room and where once I had a hanging by a wire, ready to fall light fixture that never gave out that much light to begin with, I now have a bright LED light under which even the smallest stain will stand out for me to apply some shout prior to it going into the washing machine.
