Broken table

I ordered a table that came completely broken. If you buy from out of state they make you wait for the delivery/pick up drivers to come (sometimes wait 2 weeks) and then won't refund you until they receive the product and put it in their system. It has now been 15 days since they picked up the broken table and I have yet to receive the refund. They say they haven't received it yet. So I'm sitting here waiting for my money back after THEY sent a broken table (paying interest) so I had to dispute it with my bank after all. May be okay if you shop locally but HIGHLY advise staying away from shipping

Went here for their grand opening to check out this new store. It's very spacious and they have very good selection of furniture to modern to classic. They even have a bar area so you can drink and enjoyed. My boyfriend and I saw some cute set, definitely a good place to wander and if you're looking, they have to choose from. Good location too.

OK I was in the area on work related business and I saw this place to the right of me as I was driving so I decided to check out and see what was going on. Boy was I blown away when I walked in. This was one of the hugest furniture stores I've ever seen. I know there are probably other furniture stores that probably would argue that they are bigger, but this one was pretty huge. What I loved was that I knew where each section was because you had huge lit up signs that let you know what section you were getting ready to go to and you could pretty much stand in the front of the store and see all the sections and know where you wanted to walk to which is rare in most furniture stores. I was immediately greeted by a Hispanic male who made a point of telling me that none of the workers work on commission so that there would be no one bothering me. However he did warn me that the staff are nice and that they may say hello. That's more than I can say because I wound up talking to four different workers while I was there. Each of them were friendly and kind but they all were working to get me to buy something so I don't know how much I believe they don't work on commission. I do like the quality of the furniture that I see and the prices are pretty reasonable considering we are living during a recession. I actually saw a mattress that I'm interested in purchasing down the road I just can't afford to do it now. They tried to convince me about opening a credit account but I don't do credit if I can't pay cash I don't need it. Overall it's a real nice place and they've only been open for two weeks according to the staff they told me this so it's really nice spacious, and most of all very well stocked. You will enjoy browsing this place they even have a bar where you can order drinks while you shop. How awesome is that?

The sales people were both aggressive and clueless at the same time. This happened several times before I just went and did bought my choices online. Once the furniture arrived, all items were either damaged or looked like a knock off version of what I chose in store. I am currently trying to return these items and I have been on the phone with a total of 8 people today for more than 4 hours. None of whom have given me the same information and no one was able to actually "help" me until the last agent and even that was excruciating to deal with. I am still only able to return one of my 5 items and was not given any information as to why. I was simply told I have to wait for a vendor to approve a return for the remaining items. I'm assuming they're delaying this until my first payment posts. Truly an insane experience. Avoid at all costs.

And now I may need to go buy a mattress topper to even sleep on this FIRM mattress they delivered to me and SPEND EVEN MORE MONEY. Moral of the story- Mattress firm is awful. Save your money and more importantly your sanity and go to Nebraska Furniture Mart. This place is awful.

I called you 10 minutes after the deliverymen left to report two big problems with one of the couches -- problems THEY should have caught before leaving: 1) A very prominent hole/tear at the top of the right arm. 2) A sharp tack or staple protruding from the face of same arm. (Also very prominent .... and dangerous.) Far from apologetic, you copped a nasty attitude and acted as though this was MY problem (well ..... I guess it was). You said if (IF?!) I wanted the couch replaced, it would have to be done TODAY. Because, even though I reported these problems IMMEDIATELY, you said I would be deemed responsible for these defects if the change-out was not done TODAY. First of all, there is no way anyone would look at these obvious defects and think I could have had anything to do with them. How am I going to get an INTERNAL staple/tack to puncture the covering and protrude from the couch. And when you see the manufacturing defect on top of the arm, it will be quite clear to you that a manufacturing defect is the only thing it could possibly be. Forget an apology or some simple common courtesy .... for someone who spent over $1,000 at your store. But where is the regard for my time, my convenience ..... for my TODAY? I already took the entire morning off work for this delivery. I work 70 hrs/week at three jobs to support my family. I am 100% self-employed which means No Work = No Pay. I had jobs scheduled for this afternoon, but now I will miss those hours as well because the change-out, you said, must be done TODAY. So, in addition to pissing off my own customers, today has cost me about $300 in lost income. Them's some expensive couches. Finally, you charged me almost DOUBLE what your employee Linda told me I would be charged for the transport of my old couches. (And I tipped your deliverymen very generously on top of that, despite this dirty dealing.) You told me three days ago that the deliverymen would have to assess the job when they got to my home and determine the charge accordingly. But in fact YOU had already told them what to charge me before they ever got to my place -- again, almost double the charge I was quoted by your employee. Some "Discount"! ..... Not happy.

The bed still feels brand new 5 years later and the kitchen table is still beautiful/sturdy as ever. Safe to say the quality here goes a long way and you will get your money's worth! The guest service here is unmatched by any other furniture store I've ever been to. From the freshly baked oatmeal chocolate chip cookies and beverages when you walk in to employees all over the floor eager to help you find what you need or just to say hello. Furniture mall of Kansas is the Four Seasons of furniture stores because they really take care of you, especially at this location! In 2021 I was 8 months pregnant when we were looking for a new bed and I was dire need of some good rest. We got a super fancy mattress that stays cool and an electric frame, still sleep like a baby every single night to this day! Unfortunately, I forgot the name of the gentleman that helped us back then, but he was amazing and made sure we got the best deal for our money adding in two mattress protectors and free delivery. Last year around this time we got rid of our old living room set and I knew this is where I wanted to select the new one. Although, I do have to agree to an extent about the timeliness of the delivery is extensive...I almost hate to say it's worth the wait since these are pieces built to last. I have also snagged a glass bookshelf and a full body mirror to bring the new set together. To the female manager who called the other branches in Topeka and Lee Summit to get a product I saw online that the Olathe location didn't have in stock THANK YOU! I really appreciate your efforts to make it right even after I picked it up and my expectations were not met. What a delightful experience! A former customer came into the store asking for her, so she stepped away but requested that her manager, Sarah, assist us. Sarah really went the extra mile. Sarah and Alyea helped us in our decision on the right chair for us, a Lazy-Boy power chair, so comfortable! We checked out and paid for our chair with the help of Anya, who graciously assisted us with all the paperwork, scheduling a delivery, and also accurately making a change in the delivery address. What a wonderful experience. Furniture Mall of Kansas, Olathe, has great quality furniture, and a staff the treated us like family.

The delivery was within the time window that I had been told. The delivery people were very good and while it took about an hour to deliver and set up the moveable frame and mattress, they were careful of the surroundings and did a good job. However, after having had the mattress for 1 week, I emailed the salesperson to say that the moveable bed frame did not appear to be centered on the space and that allowed the mattress to leave a large gap between it and the headboard and effectively no gap between the mattress and the foot board. I also said that I had been mistaken about the height of the mattress and would like it to be higher. The salesperson turned my email over to the service department and they called me to say that "the large gap between the headboard and the mattress was to be expected." As for the height issue, I was told that the charge to adjust the height would be $200. I anticipated that this was 15 to 30 minute job and, thus, the $200 price tag was unacceptable to me. I realize that $200 compared to the $5400 that I had already spent was perhaps considered trivial by the service department. Sadly, I had not read reviews before this purchase and as I see now, there are a number of 1-star reviews primarily complaining about the service after purchase. In the past 10 or so years, I have bought a number of furniture pieces from Crowley Furniture in Lee's Summit. This experience has convinced me to never do business with them again.

I was told that they were backed up with orders; but that I would receive my shipment in approximately 6-8 weeks. I wasn't in a hurry so I told them I could wait but that I would be moving at the beginning of Dec. and would need to make sure the foam arrived before then so that it didn't get lost in shipping. I was assured that it would get to me in time and my account was debited for the money that day. 8 weeks passed by and I hadn't heard anything from the company. Not even a confirmation email had been sent. The only verification that I had even ordered anything was the debit to my checking account. I called the company and spoke with Brad. He looked at the order and said that it had been cancelled. I asked him why it had been cancelled with no notice or refund given and he had no answer for me(!). He apologized profusely and assured me that the foam would be cut right away and shipped immediately. I agreed and then waited another two weeks with nothing. I called the company several times and was always told that Brad was either out or would return my call when he got back. I never received a call and was getting tired of this game. After digging around online a bit I finally found an email address for Brad. It was only after I sent him an email threatening to take legal action that I got a response back. Even then, the foam haD STILL not been cut or shipped! I demanded a full refund immediately which finally happened and I could put this horrible experience behind me. I wanted to support a 'family run business' but, instead, was essentially lied to and stolen from! If I had not called back when the goods were not delivered I would never have known why the order was cancelled. I never got an answer to that question either. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE! THEY ARE FRAUDULENT AND WILL ONLY OFFER YOU COMPENSATION IF YOU THREATEN THEM!!

After ordering two very simple pieces of foam to replace chair cushions that have never arrived, I feel scammed. Ripped off. When I went to pick up the cushions (I was told it would be ready on Wednesday; I indicated I would arrive to pick up 3 days later on Saturday), they weren't ready. The owner, Brad Weilert, said he needed 30-40 more minutes to complete the work, took my down-filled covers from me to fit them on the cushions, and said he would deliver them to my home that afternoon. That evening he left a voicemail saying he would deliver them the next day. Again, he no showed. Since then, the phone is disconnected one day/unanswered the next, voicemails are not returned, the doors are locked/blinds are drawn during business hours even though the owner's vehicle is outside and noises can be heard inside. I've sent several emails and finally, late last week the owner responded, asking my delivery address (for the 3rd time). They still haven't been delivered. Nor has my request for a refund/return of my property since they seem to be unable to make good on the cushions. I wish that I had done my research first to see these reviews. The official at the City of Lenexa business license office indicated that they have received numerous complaints and are investigating the validity of the business license. A quick search of county court records paints a very shady picture. Not only am I not only out the hard earned money I paid ($199.37), but also my original cushions and the custom-fitted down filled cover. My chair is unusable without them. I will be filing in small claims court.
