Los Amigos - Salsa probably gets dusty from being in the dining area with decor above it. Gross.

My husband and traveled from Colorado to Ohio and stayed in Vandalia on the way home…read more Los Amigos was close to the hotel . The service was excellent ! The young male server was so friendly and very fast . ) I wish I could recall his name ) We had our drinks within a minute of ordering them . Our food also arrived after a short time and was delicious . I had the Pollo Ranchero and my husband had Carne Asada . The portions are large and cooked to perfection . We are Mexican food aficionados so it is always a gamble trying a new place . It was worth it !

Best bar in town. Only bar in town?…read more Either way. Decent margaritas, frosty mugs for draft beer. Pool table (classic style with woven leather pockets). Air hockey table (out of commission as of 9/10/2022). Engraved wood everything - tables, chairs, assorted decor. Somebody shelled out some beaucoup bucks to decorate this place. Definite small-town vibes here. Didn't eat, but the pervasively Spanish-speaking staff makes me think it's worth a shot the next time we're in town. 5 stars, no complaints. Walking distance from the Best Western (which I decidedly would not recommend... but if you end up there, at least Amigos is right across the parking lot).

Los Amigos - Minute advert of a bar, but the door is locked. Don't fret! Just go in through the front, your beer is waiting.

Went with my wife, parking is much easier than I made it. Heads up they have lots parking in back…read moreas well as across the street. Don't be me, don't go on a Friday night and try to get street parking. Plus parking in the back would have been way easier because they have a desk for seating right off the back. I like the layout, it's open, but not open. Really cool. My wife and I sat in a booth that was tucked in by the kitchen. It was perfect. You could hear the fun and conversations people were having, but you had your own spot. We liked it :) I looked at the menu before we went so I knew what I was in for and I was all for it. I didn't tell my wife but knew she would love it, so I padded in some extra time for her to look. Look at the menu before you go, just glance, it's big..but not crazy. The food, awesome! Lots of it. I had a chimi because that's what I do lol. (Long story, my mom loved them...so no matter how amazing the menu...it's what I do. Sorry Yelp lol) But the food was amazing, and hot, and quicker than we would have expected. So all the things were perfect for us. Price was just fine. You can go whatever direction with the menu your pocket desires really. We added another entre and split it, so we went over what we normally do. But hey, date night :) Overall we loved it, reminded us of Carlos O Kelley's in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. We lived at that place. This place is almost it's twin and we are thrilled. And, which shouldn't be a side note, the staff was amazing. Didn't press us, and was just really nice. Thanks everyone, excited to come back!

I think this place is not a place I would recommend to you. I have had better experience/food at…read moreother Mexican food restaurants. I came here with friends. The service was not the best. I usually correct my food when it's wrong, but I was so hungry that I didn't bother to say nothing. I ordered the Steak Quesadilla and instead I got the Chicken Quesadilla. I ordered a Blue Lagoon drink, but got a Margarita instead. Neither of the items were bad in taste, but not what I originally ordered.
