It was crusty on the outside and soften pillow on the inside. They served it with butter as well as oyster crackers, and the soup itself was really creamy. They had a good amount of clams and very savory and cozy. The crab sandwich was really special and really delicious. There was literally one of their staff members cracking crab right near us for the sandwich so that's how fresh it was. And, while most bread bowls are tough and hardy in order to contain the chowder, this place uses the famous Boudin brand from nearby San Fran - which is known for having the perfect crust with a light and fluffy interior. Our bowl was cut perfectly, with the interior cored out and placed to the side. Served along with two pats of butter and a package of oyster crackers, this chowder is an incredible deal! We shared one bread bowl - which is plenty for two adults - and ordered two waters... the total? Just under $10! Now, that is a deal!
