It looks like it's stuck in a time warp in the best way. It's charming and old school and cozy. The staff are incredibly kind and the service is really good. You order at the counter and then they call you when your food is ready or sometimes they bring it over to you. They have lunch and dinner, but they also have ice cream and specialized Italian drinks and soda as well as regular beverages. We got the shrimp cocktail, the clam chowder in the bread bowl, and the crab sandwich. The shrimp cocktail was super tasty. All of their seafood is super fresh. They prepare it daily. The sauce was really tasty. The clam chowder was amazing and the bread bowl was some of the freshest and most delicious sourdough I've ever had. It was crusty on the outside and soften pillow on the inside. They served it with butter as well as oyster crackers, and the soup itself was really creamy. They had a good amount of clams and very savory and cozy. The crab sandwich was really special and really delicious. There was literally one of their staff members cracking crab right near us for the sandwich so that's how fresh it was. When we don't want to drive too far for a seafood fix this place is where we go. They have lots of parking and affordable prices and the seafood is always fresh. Definitely recommend the spot for to go or to dine in.

Additionally, I've researched over 100 recipes in order to make what I consider to be the perfect chowder (according to my preferences). The chowder-in-bread bowl at this quaint little place is extremely good. Hints of herbs (tarragon, I think) perfumes the soup beautifully and the cream base is not too thick and not too thin. And, while most bread bowls are tough and hardy in order to contain the chowder, this place uses the famous Boudin brand from nearby San Fran - which is known for having the perfect crust with a light and fluffy interior. Our bowl was cut perfectly, with the interior cored out and placed to the side. Served along with two pats of butter and a package of oyster crackers, this chowder is an incredible deal! We shared one bread bowl - which is plenty for two adults - and ordered two waters... the total? Just under $10! Now, that is a deal! We will definitely be coming back to try all their deli and seafood sandwiches and salads as well! Highly recommend!!

But T'zunun was great as always! We were able to get in right before the brunch rush without a reservation and sat outside on the patio, which was really nice. Our waiter was very friendly and made sure we got the chicharrones, which were delicious. The food presentation was beautiful and everything was flavorful and well prepared. What I really appreciate about T'zunun is the consistency, whether you come on a regular weekday, a Friday night, or for brunch, the quality and service are always solid. Everything was wonderful and it made for a great Easter brunch experience. Definitely recommend!

I had the corn and the house salad with grapefruit and pear and the mussels. I'm used to mussels in broth, but not with this flavor profile. It was like kiss your fingers exquisitely good. Probably the best mussels I've eaten. A+. Very reasonably priced for what it is. Next time I'll try the ceviche. Oh my god there's a happy hour too, and the mussels are on the happy hour menu! Next time I'm in tinez / pleasant hill, I'm going to beg my wife for us to go here. And also there's even a kid menu. The Mexican chocolate cheesecake was impossibly good. My sons apparently looked tired because we were sitting here a while. So the server popped out with complimentary churros for them. Not just amusement park churros. These were gourmet churros with a spoon of gelato. Love this place.
