    Large VIP Room

Recently, I had the opportunity to visit Live K to celebrate my sandbox best friend's birthday. I stood in line outside to get searched & physical ID checked. Once inside, I navigated through all the party ppl standing near the public bar & folks waiting to perform in order to access our VIP room. Unfortunately, I found the guest of honor feverishly cleaning. I helped clean until the manager arrived & sent an employee to finish cleaning the room. Once we learned how to use the equipment, our personal party was really fun. The lights, lyrics on large digital walls, multiple microphones, & special photographs rotating on the ceiling were futuristic & cool. Aside from the delayed cleaning, there was an issue with the payment system for food & drinks. Live K asked if I used Cash app since they can't accept credit cards. I do but several patrons did not. My cash app flagged the transaction with their account as a possible scam & cancelled the transaction. I had to pay via Apple Pay. Android users & other folks were transferring funds to me to pay which was a significant distraction from the party vibes. This also unnerved the birthday girl. I would give Live K another shot sometime in the future, but attention to detail is key especially when you're spending over $800 securing a large VIP room, drinks, & food.

10/10 experience - great place to host friends and have a party! food is tasty, a touch pricey, but comes super quickly lighting inside is fun and there are many private karaoke rooms you can book waiter was super kind and helpful!

My first time going to this location and my first time in a private karaoke room and I loved it! We made reservations online for a party of 6 in a small room. Upon walking to the front of the establishment, we were carded, bag-checked and told to proceed inside until the rest of the party arrived. We had the option to extend beyond the 2 hours, but we chose to stay within the allotted time. The interior was dark, but very sleek and classy, it set the mood to sing our hearts out. After entering the room, an employee explained how to search for songs and which button to push for service. They provided a large bottle of water and plastic cups, but also had food and drinks available for ordering. We did hear the music from the next room, but it didn't bother us. The service was terrific and we truly enjoyed ourselves. They do a great job maintaining the rooms, the bathrooms, and just the overall entire place! The room was paid at the beginning, but we received individual checks for our own drink/food purchases. We have the following options when booking the room. -Small room: 10 guests, $68/hr -Medium room: 15 guests, $98/hr -Large room: 20 guests, $128/hr -VIP large room: 25 guests, $168/hr A few things to note: -The price is per hour (with a 2-hour minimum) and based on the room size. There is a DC tax, service fee and gratuity. They did offer to extend our time at an additional cost, but we said no. -There were packaged disposable covers for the microphones, but we didn't see them until halfway through. -There are overhead lights if needed. -They do allow people under age 21; however, the person booking the room must be present for them to enter. There is a bar available to anyone carded in the "lobby"/entrance. There is also an open karaoke stage available...I believe at no cost. There is paid street parking and parking garages near by. Would I return? Maybe, only because I rarely go to DC.

I found this place on IG and immediately started planning this experience for hubby and I including our closest friends for a good ole time for our birthday's. I booked online to reserve a small room to accommodate 10-12 guest. Parking is definitely tight so plan to get there at least 15mins early. While we waited we got some drinks at the bar. The room was ready in about 10 mins of our arrival. The food options were great and everyone enjoyed it. We sang so many songs from so many different genres. It was soooo much fun. We were in the room for about 2hrs and we could have definitely stayed longer to continue to sing all of our songs and eat. I will most definitely return for this super fun experience. A must try for sure

It's a fun place if you enjoy karaoke. We enjoyed karaoke in the main room because it was a long wait for the karaoke rooms to become available. In the main room (which is like the lobby area) you can request songs to be played for karaoke. It was definitely packed in there when I went so be prepared for a crowd and there is not much seating available in the main room so wear comfortable shoes lol.

Solid Karaoke place for a fun night! They have different size rooms and for my party of 9, we fit appropriately in a small room (a little snug) for $68/hr. I liked the digital screens and how its pretty easy to find songs/artists. The best part was that the others could also add songs/adjust order after scanning the QR code. It can be linked to Spotify as well. Our group had a wide music interest from pop, emo rock, rap, kpop, to opera. The music was loud enough and bass was good. Sound insulation was pretty good. I liked how there were two screens in the room. Drinks were pretty standard but they came quick. If you're not looking to book a room, you can also sing at the bar out in the front. Agree with another Yelper than the security pat down was pretty intense. Street parking available but also The Wharf has parking as well - can't remember if we got it validated. Had a fun time overall!

We had an amazing time at this karaoke bar! it's a lively spot with lots of singing, dancing, and great vibes. The food is on the pricier side but still good--we had wings and skewers, and everything came out quickly. The only drawback is that while most songs are easy to find on youtube, you have to type "lyrics" before the song name to get the version with lyrics. Overall, we had a blast! the private rooms let you control the a/c, lighting, and call an attendant. be sure to arrive on time. The live room was also fun and energetic, packed with people enjoying themselves. We'll definitely be back! they do check id at the entrance.

This place was super cool. I visited this past Saturday w family friends to celebrate a birthday, and it was as the youngins say... giving !! Lol This place was super easy to locate. Great signage. Underground kinda costly, yet convenient and safe parking. Once we arrived on the premises, we had to wait in line for a short wait. They check ID'S, etc. Our start time for a karaoke room was 8pm. We were taking in at 8:07pm. I'll start w the pros. * Nice sized rooms. * Our initial host who came into our room to explain everything was great. Great personality and sense of humor. * Great music catalog selection w and w/o words. * Great food and beverage options. * Surprisingly, delish food w great portion sizes. * Super fast and hot food delivery. Now to the cons. * The in room air conditioner was not working at it fullest. It was haawwwttt. * The floor had plenty of obvious food crumbs from all the previous folks that day. * They have us 1 menu for 8 people. We didn't even receive a QR code to scan. * The food order taker took at least 15-20 minutes to take the order. That time is still deducted from room paid time. I asked her 4 times if gratuity was included, but there was no response. I later found out it WAS included. She was tipped twice. NOT COOL. I would surely visit again. I would review the food menu in advance, and encourage other attendees to do the same. This place is a great concept and well needed in this neighborhood.

Each cold pressed juice had a different spirit in it; our favorite was the green juice with the whiskey. I also love that they use good quality spirits because I'm not hungover today! The service was unbelievable, they truly made it such a special experience for us and we can't wait to come back. The tent was warm which we were thankful for given it's getting chillier out. Dacha is a semi-outdoor beer garden across from Nat's Park and a short walk from Audi Field, making it the perfect storm to collect a massive crowd before a game. We arrived shortly before happy hour ended, about two hours before a Friday night Spirit game and were able to get a table. Dacha did fill up quickly, but with plenty of seating and an open section with standing tables in the center, there was still room to move around. With the glass walls surrounding us, we felt like we were in a garden. The noise level, while high, was not as bad as Solace, and we were still actually able to hear each other. Our server did not check on us as time went by, but she did bring us waters as soon as we were seated, which really exceeds my expectations for a beer garden. Our food and drinks arrived quickly and were super tasty. Both the flagship lager and IPA were drinks I'd order again, and as a vinho verde admirer, I appreciated having that as an option on the HH menu. While the skinny burger is delicious, the real star of the HH menu is the fried pickles, homemade and flavorful and piping hot. I'm eager to go back for another pregame and try the HH cocktail, perhaps sampling something from the regular menu as well.

Trouble Bird was the answer to my prayers on a recent trip, where I was looking to have high quality drinks and a laid-back NON-commercial vibe with my team. We liked it so much, we came twice in one week, and I was impressed at their ability to handle and be comfortable for a large group in a space that can feel intimate. The lighting is nice and moody, the menu available via QR code, and the WiFi free and listed with password for patrons to use. We had excellent service both times, by the two folks working each night for a groups of 6-8 each time. There was something for everyone from the nondrinkers to the beer enthusiasts, to cocktail aficionados like myself. There's an amazing happy hour deal, with discounts on drinks all Monday and reduced prices for a couple of hours on other weekdays; it almost felt criminal how generous the happy hour was when I've gotten used to paying $20 for a mediocre cocktail at other nearby establishments. And the cocktails here are really very good, probably the best in the area, except for their immediate next door neighbor. The group favorite cocktail was the Midori sour which was incredibly well balanced and refreshing, and the surprising crowd pleaser was the Hamilton Dry Float, which came in a creepy tiki mug presentation that we really loved. We had a couple of the bar bites - the spiced peanuts were well loved across the group but my person favorite food item was the blistered shishitos, which came with a great chipotle aioli. The bathrooms are extremely clean and overall this was a bar favorite for the group for our week of going out and socializing together. Overall this is a gem of a neighborhood hangout with really excellent cocktails and service! Will absolutely come here next time I'm in town!
