I was walking past Nook when I saw the signboard for Little Pisces. I didn't realize it had opened this location, as I thought it was still a vegan bakery. I stopped in to get a sample of 5 taiyaki to-go. The space is relatively unchanged, but freshened up and looks good. The taiyaki probably took about 15-20 minutes to make, so it wasn't fast. They ended up burning one of the taiyaki, but they immediately noticed it and decided to make me a replacement one, which was really nice. They also take the time to stack them in the box so they match the order label, so you know which ones are which. I ate them about 10 minutes later and they were still crisp. Flavour-wise, the savoury ones were ok, and the sweet ones were a tad on the too-sweet side. But what I liked is that they relatively small and affordable, so I don't need to spend a large amount if I don't have a large appetite. I'd sample more again in the future.

Happy that Little Pisces came to replace the vegan bakery that used to be at this spot (it didn't last very long). Who can say no to dinner at BigWay followed by taiyaki soft serve?? May 28-29 were technically "secret" opening days, but the place was bustling already! And for good reason - an already well reputed chain set in an inviting space. Some staff seem to still be in training and have to check with their supervisor here and there, but that's all good and they were pleasant enough. We hadn't been to the other locations before, so we were curious how things would taste. Got the mango sticky rice soft serve with a Nutella taiyaki cone -- maybe not the wisest combo but both individually delicious. The taiyaki is just the right crispiness on the outside and mochiness on the inside. The soft serve is maybe not as soft as I would have liked (more ice cream texture), but the flavour was on point. We then couldn't resist trying a drink and got a hojicha latte. Because they put tea at the top and milk at the bottom, it got progressively sweeter as the cup got emptier. Next time would definitely give it a shake first. Whisk's hojicha is still better imo, but this is not bad for being in the neighbourhood! We also liked that there's a decent amount of seating, including a big table for those who want to sit in to work/study.

Stopped by for taiyaki soft serve and was not disappointed! The taiyaki was delicious, crispy and bouncy with good texture. The matcha soft serve was smooth and flavorful. Great portion. Lots of indoor seating.

Maybe it's because summer is winding down, but there didn't seem to be as many fruity options, which made it harder for my boys to find something they really wanted. They ended up choosing the blueberry balsamic. They thought it was okay, but it wasn't a flavour they were particularly excited about. I personally love the honeycomb flavour! It was delicious, but I was disappointed that there weren't more pieces of honeycomb throughout the ice cream. I was hoping for a little more of that crunchy honeycomb texture. Another disappointment was the outdoor patio area. When we went outside to enjoy our ice cream, there was a noticeable garbage-like smell nearby. We couldn't figure out exactly where it was coming from, but it made the patio less enjoyable, so we ended up going back inside. Overall, we still enjoyed our family ice cream outing, but I was hoping for a little more variety in the flavours and a more pleasant outdoor seating experience.

Located in a random spot? Check. Only one staff member working? Check. We've been a couple times and I have yet to see it busy. A few people pop in but no one ever lingers. Most likely because there's no seating. There's also a sign on the counter stating you can only sample 2 flavours during peak hours. There's usually 10 to 12 flavours to choose from; always something unique and interesting. They also have sundaes, ice cream sandwiches and doughnuts on the menu. - Mango raspberry swirl and London fog ($7.00 double) - waffle cone is included and it was better than expected. The ice cream itself tastes a bit denser but still has a creamy satisfying texture. The London fog was fantastic! The mango raspberry was more mango than raspberry but also quite good. - London fog ($5.00 single) - came back on a Monday and they only had four flavours that day. We went with the London fog; just as good as the last time. - Dark chocolate and black sesame with honey ($7.00 double) - the dark chocolate tasted like a fudgesicle but better. Not too sweet and hefty; it was so heavy it almost fell off the cone! The black sesame was delicious. Not quite like the ones we had in Japan but tasty and flavourful. I'll be back again and again! Love the laid back, no frills vibe at Rooster's. One of our favourite ice cream spots!

Ambiance resembles like a really old former laundry mat. Quality of ice cream is there. However, cookies and donuts were sold out so no sandwiches available for the ice cream. Pretty decent scoop. I am not sure if I would come back... I prefer seating with my ice cream.
