Pretty busy on a Saturday morning... parents area where food and drink are allowed
Annie G.

Our family has been here a few times now -- for birthday parties, open play, and even the trick or treating event outside of Monkey Bizness in the parking lot during Halloween. I really do love the community of families that Monkey Bizness is bringing together! And wish there were more places like this! Super fun for the kids but also a great way for parents to meet and connect as well. Most recently, I came with my 5 year old and 3 year old. They loved it. We arrived shortly after 9am (when it opens) and stayed until noon (when open play closes) so we definitely got our money's worth!! I appreciate that we can bring in our own food/drink (unlike places like Lava Island or Kids Wonder) which further justifies the entry cost (not having to spend more money on overpriced food/drink). There's a nice mix of physical play (bounce houses, climbing structures, slides, foam pit, etc.) as well as imaginary or creative play (building pieces, vet clinic, firefighter wall, mail delivery, etc.). My kids really enjoyed it all and spend time in each of the sections. I currently also have a 2 month old and look forward to when he's older and can play/crawl around in the infant section. The space does turn into a huge mess after the first hour or so. I find myself trying to put items back and help keep things clean for kids to play with after mine... but things just end up all over the place. At some similar kids play areas, the staff comes out to clean from time to time. I don't believe they do that here until open play ends, so it just gets a bit messy.

Crawler area (under 2)

Ok, so I got the low down from the staff, it's busiest from 9am-12pm. It's quieter after nap time. My son is 9 months old and is a crawler. The crawler area is not just for crawlers, it for under 2 year olds. I arrived at 9am today and it started to get busy at 9.30am, by 10am it was getting really loud and by 10.30am I was getting annoyed enough to leave and my son was getting tired anyway. Why was I getting annoyed you ask? Good question! There was a lot of kids older than 2 in the crawler area after it got busy and although the parents were good about it and was trying to stop their daughter from taking toys off my son, their 5 year old was also in there with the younger daughter which I found out, just turned 3...as well as any random kid who could turn a door handle. After a while they left and it was so nice, just me and another little mom and son...then they all came back. I know my son will have to deal with other people for the rest of his life, but he has kids taking toys off him at storytime, the library and everywhere else, it was nice when he didn't have to deal with that and just play. They staff were great about it, gave me the info I mentioned above and a free entry coupon. They try to come out on the floor and monitor but they obviously can't be everywhere at once. The place was clean enough and there was a nice change table in the ladies room. Lots of seating and you can bring your own snacks or get something from the cafe. Overall it was pretty good but I'm not sure I'll go in the morning again

Wow... we just had my son's birthday party here, and it was AMAZING. The party hosts take care of every single darn detail the moment you walk in, and I hardly had to lift a finger. They took care of putting up all our decorations and asking us for our food orders at the right time and just made all the magic happen behind the scenes. I had even forgotten to put together one of those annoying happy birthday banner that takes forever to string on, and they set it up and had it on the wall without even mentioning it - such angels! They made my son feel so special on his big day, and the playplace was super fun for all the kids of varying ages!! This place is AMAZING.

Loved it!

Ask the Community - Little Monkey Bizness

I have an almost 5 month old. He can sit up but that's it. Would there be much for us to do there?

I'd say a 5 month is too young and won't have much to do. Wait till a year or older.

The outdoor ones are ok too but I prefer the clean ones. Like this one it was SO CLEAN. Anyways normally and I and my also neurodivergent adult partner are always turned away at these places. In fact the newest location at flatirons mall said "uh babysit a kid or something" when I asked. But here they let us in! It was so fun. It was really nice to just exist without judgement and event the parents where chill surprisingly. Maybe cuz I was stimming the whole time and they thought "wow ok not a threat" Anyways love THIS location only ! Great colors and is friendly to adults on the spectrum!

Over the years, I think my kids still really enjoy it -- even after 20+ visits! We've also attended at least 10 birthday parties here (and have another one next month!). And experienced all of the different packages. The kids definitely love getting the play card to play the crane machines. My nephew has had a lot of luck with the ones where you grab the circular tickets. He's won some pretty cool prizes! They also love getting a cup to fill with candy after a party! With the shift and rebrand to Sweet Play, I did hope that some of the design or structures would update/change, but it all still seems the same. My kids do still enjoy coming back every so often. We appreciate the pricing (parents being free!), especially $12 for toddler Tuesdays! Our toddler really enjoys the slide into the ballpit the toddler area. Overall, this is a great spot for families with young kids - a good size space where you can generally keep track of your kids.

It took me a little time to process what happened this past Sunday before writing this review…read more I want to start by saying Tanner, the young man who worked our party, absolutely made the day. He was incredibly helpful with the kids, repeatedly apologized for everything happening (even though none of it was his fault), and remained kind, attentive, and professional the entire time. Tanner is the ONLY reason we managed to have any sort of birthday party at all. We booked the Ultimate Birthday Party package for my son's 7th birthday from 2-4 PM and also added the pizza and drinks package. The day before, I called to confirm everything, including our food order: 2 cheese pizzas, 2 pepperoni pizzas, Sprite, and lemonade for 12 kids. I arrived around 1:35 PM expecting a busy Sunday crowd. When I checked in, I was immediately told our party room would not be available until 3:15 PM -- despite our party being scheduled from 2-4 PM. That meant we would only have the room for the last 45 minutes. I was shocked. The employee at the front desk was kind and explained the manager had overbooked parties. Meanwhile, I was left standing in a packed lobby with decorations, cake, plates, and favor bags with nowhere to set anything up. I eventually asked to speak with the manager. After waiting about 15 minutes, he came over with absolutely no sense of urgency. He was dismissive, condescending, and repeatedly told me the room timing was listed in the "fine print" of the emails. Maybe technically it was, but it's honestly ridiculous to advertise birthday parties without guaranteeing space for the actual party. After offering no real solution, he simply walked away. As guests arrived, Tanner took the kids onto the obstacle course while I grabbed a couple of lobby tables to hold gifts and belongings. Thankfully, because of Tanner, the kids still had fun and had no idea what was happening behind the scenes. We finally got access to the party room around 3:30 PM, leaving only 30 minutes in our reservation, and there was still no pizza. Tanner helped us rush decorations up while the kids were already hungry and thirsty. When I asked about the pizzas, Tanner checked with the manager and came back saying they claimed I never ordered them. That was completely false. I would never host a party for 12 children without food. Tanner apologized again and later informed me they had "just ordered" the pizzas -- at 3:45 PM, with the party ending at 4. The kids were hungry, drinks were running low, and there was still no food. I asked for more time in the room, and once again Tanner had to speak with the manager himself. We were eventually allowed to stay until 4:30 PM and the pizzas were comped. Unfortunately, by then most parents were already preparing to leave because the party was supposed to end at 4. I rushed to cut the cake so the kids could at least sing Happy Birthday and eat something. The pizzas finally arrived at 4:10 PM when only three kids remained. To their credit, they comped the pizzas and gave us free gym-time coupons. I appreciate that gesture, but after the way the manager handled everything, I will never return. I'm honestly shocked I still paid $329 for this experience. The reason I'm writing this review is to warn other parents. Birthday parties are expensive, and your hard-earned money should go to a business that values its customers and knows how to properly manage events. During the entire three hours we were there, the manager never once apologized. The only staff members who showed professionalism or empathy were the younger employees -- especially Tanner. They are lucky to have him. As a business owner myself, I can confidently say the current manager will drive this business into the ground. He was dismissive, incompetent, condescending, and rude from start to finish. Save yourself the stress and book your child's birthday somewhere else.

Ed the Spacetime Guy is cool!…read more Had our son's birthday party yesterday. My 7yo boy is on a serious astronomical kick, so a space-themed party was in order. Now the dangerous part; 15 6-8 year old kids, at the house, mostly boys. Somehow the house survived. Ed set up in the basement, and immediately had the kids attention. He spun a yarn about the solar system, and got every kid who wanted involved. He had inflatable planets, plus the sun. Each kid got to hold one as he described neat facts about the planet. Next, he conducted a little experiment where one kid held a planet, while another had a Styrofoam rocket launched. While he spun the kid, he attempt to fire at the planet... Next up were 3D photos of Mars, with 3D glasses provided. There was an experiment to create Mars soil, and a project to create a Galactic Glider. The grand finale was an air rocket launch outside. I heard from one parent today that her son pronounced the party "Awesome," and on a scale of 1-10 a 1000! Minor addition: Until their entry is updated, their website is http://www.spacetimekids.com/

So it was only natural to ask Ed to do a SpaceTime party for my son's birthday. The kids and parents had a blast (pun intended) learning about rockets, shooting off stomp rockets, and making a fizz rocket with some paper, film canisters, and Alka Seltzer. Ed ended the party with a huge rocket launch outside that went 100 feet into the air. It was so cool! I like SpaceTime because they are really good at getting kids interested and having them learn something along the way. Ed and Julie are very accommodating and great to work with. Highly recommended for a fun and interactive party!
