This is one of my favorite places in town. So much so, I go there about five times a week! I take a variety of classes - yoga, Tabata, strength and Zumba (so far). Without exception, they are taught by knowledgeable, professional, friendly instructors. The facility is clean and I always feel comfortable there. I've never taken advantage of the pools or water classes but I often look in from the second floor and they look really inviting. All of this and I still think perhaps the best part of this gym is the price. It is reasonable and my membership includes the use of the Parker Fieldhouse gym which I've been to and is also very nice. No excuses not to workout!

Every Saturday my family comes to work out and swim. There are a variety of different pools, kids area, whirlpool, a water slide and rock wall. The water temperature maybe a tad bit cold for some folks, but is an appropriate degree for the majority. (Even I get a little cold sometimes.) The lifeguards are outstanding. They have always been atentative and happy to have helped me in a very professional manner. They always enforce the rules and seem to have a great attitude. The pool is available for open swim for majority of the time and the staff explains everything if an area is closed. The front desk staff is very nice and understanding of all questions or concerns, promptly addressing them. I have had nothing but good experiences here, and my family will be coming back for a long time.

Cycling. One of many free classes offered with membership/daily admission!

Reasons why I love this place: Yearly membership isn't too bad, it's not. Especially compared to Lifetime. They offer tons of free classes with your admission for the 'day'. Cycling, Yoga, etc. They're great. Friendly teachers too. Great when you need a 'personal trainer' to motivate you to push yourself. The pool is eh. It's good for swimming laps. They have a slide. Not anything special. They do have a Sauna though. Which is pretty cool. The gym is great. It's never super crowded, and I love that. I'm never fighting to get on my favorite machines at a certain time. It's clean. Never seen anything super dirty. The locker rooms used to be pretty iffy, but since the recent renovations the cleaning has definitely been stepped up a notch. It's in walking distance from my house. I can have someone drop me off here after school and walk home as a cool down. It's become kinda routine for me lately. That reminds me of another thing: The past however many months they've spent renovating the rec center have paid off. The front entrance is beautiful. Everything is so new, it looks awesome. I was so surprised when they opened the front back up a few weeks ago. It looks amazing. I think they were losing a lot of money to other gyms, and realize they needed to improve something. It's not even finished yet, I can't wait to see the finished product. This place is great if you want a cheap, local place to work out. Nothing super fancy, but I don't need any of that anyway.

They have such a great variety of classes from Vinyasas "C2", to traditional hot yoga, to yoga sculpt which is a cardio-light weight lifting class, they have a class for every type of yoga I'm looking to do. I love that all of the classes are heated to some degree, allowing me to get deeper into poses and rinse out toxins. It is also awesome that every class includes an ab workout - I had never realized how critical strong abs are to improving your yoga practice before joining here. Since joining, I have made leaps and bounds in my ability to do inversions and arm balances which I essentially had no idea how to do before I joined such as crow pose, side crow, headstand, forearm stand, headstand, hurdle, peacock, and headstand! The teachers are top notch and are so helpful in walking you through new "peak poses". I like how the C2 classes are designed to build upon different poses that get you geared up to learn a new peak pose at the end. The studios at this location are really really wonderful - they have a huge second floor studio with a wall that is all windows where you can get gorgeous sunrises and sunsets depending on the class time! Also, the teachers are great at giving you a thought to ponder before class to center yourself and get into the meditative aspect of yoga. You also can't beat the savasana meditation at the end of a hard class which includes a cool lemon-lavender cloth gently placed over your eyes. My favorite teachers are Jill P., Katrina, and Danielle, although all of the teachers here are excellent! The membership is totally worth it - I think of it as a gym membership and a therapy membership all in one! ;-)

But to have an instructor using profanity to motivate students- was a bit much for me. It was my first time in Kerry's class and I have to say it was a complete turnoff. Yelling at students "F that shit up" and "Let that shit go" can't be apart of the training she received to be an instructor. I am still very shocked that this is acceptable behavior. Judging by looking around the room, others felt the same way. It was terrible-is this what yoga has turn into??

The low impact and exceptional core work is my favorite. I'm new to this side of town and decided to give this place a try. I am highly disappointed. Studio is nice and clean. Pricy but most reformer classes are. Yuan was my instructor and bc of her, I won't be back to try a different class or instructor. It was so bad. I felt like she knew a great deal about Pilates but not fitness or anatomy I'm general. I'm not a Pilates expert by any means, but I do work in fitness and consider myself to be pretty fit. I was so belittled with her passive aggressive comments throughout class. Everything from "you're fit but not Pilates fit" to "this is not for everyone" came out of her mouth. I felt like she thrived on making people feel small around her. I was definitely not the only one uncomfortable. Pilates is for everyone and so is all of fitness. Do yourself a favor and go to Boost Pilates instead.

You had to wait until the billing goes through to book a class but by then you were often on a wait list and didn't get in. Then you would get the next two classes, but then when you go to book the third you would have a problem if it were within a few days of your next billing date. The system would ask you for a credit card. I cancelled my membership because of not liking to get ripped off but of course they had a reason to charge me again since I didn't give them the complete thirty day notice. I would recommend not using them if you don't like to waste your money.

This interactive gym that's got climbing walls, a yoga studio and a regular exercising area are spacious and clean. I mostly saw young/younger generations of people but didn't you worry; I'm very much middle aged and although it was my first time climbing today and I was able to manage most of the beginner/entry level ones with no issues. We all did some sort of climbing when we were younger, right? Then all you have to do is to let that younger self come out of you!! Depending on your experience level, you'll get to pick where you want to do your climbing (the levels are clearly marked.) It was a busy night at this fun gym but people were very respectful to each other taking turns. I walked around the entire facility to check things out and I was impressed as to how immaculately they maintain the place. Even women's locker room was extremely clean with no trash or whatsoever. I didn't realize that climbing was also a good cardio workout. This was much needed exercise for me for sure. If you end up making blisters just walk up to the front desk and ask for a band-aide or two. They appear to have several locations in the Denver metro area so if you see one in your neighborhood go check it out. ***Note*** You can rent climbing shoes so you don't need to own them. Make sure you soak yourself in a warm bath with epsom salt after the climbing because you WILL be sore (LOL)!

But the climbing compared to the other gyms was just meh. Englewood is still the biggest Movement location in Colorado as of April 2024. Nothing special here either - there was talk of a sauna and/or steam room but I guess it didn't pan out. But a nice option for climbing if you are in the area.

Painted Rock Family Medicine was recommended by several people I know and trust. It happens to be very close to my office, which is extremely convenient. Their website is easy to navigate and I was able to look at the entire medical team. I was able to choose Darla who happens to be the founder and owner of Painted Rock. Unlike other doctor offices I did not have to wait weeks or months for an appointment. You can also upload information on their website to simplify the paperwork needed for their records. When I arrived for my appointment check in was simple and I did not wait more than 5 minutes to be taken back to a room. The medical assistant Danny was friendly and took all of my vitals. I met with Darla and did not feel rushed as I have at other doctors. Darla is personable, helpful and actually listened to my concerns. I had some blood work done and was informed of charges that would be additional from my annual physical exam. Based on my initial visit I am so happy to have found Painted Rock Family Medicine. In the paperwork I received from Painted Rock I can see that they say they send their lab work out, but I am unable to find any mention of Keefe Memorial Hospital in Cheyenne Wells, CO. This has been a very expensive headache and has been very frustrating.
