I was on the waiting list for a restorative yoga class, and often if someone doesn't show up, by the time the waitlisted people are notified, it's too late to get there on time. So I decided to just drive down there and see if there were any vacancies. The teacher who was set to lead the class was extremely rude and basically told me to leave. Although everyone who signed up showed up for the class, there was clearly enough room to fit in another person, and I was there plenty early and no one would have needed to rearrange their mats for me to fit in. Besides being snippy and very disresptectful in telling me to leave, she also stood in the lobby area and watched me as I was putting on my shoes. She said that was because people have taken the items for sale from there. I was in such disbelief that I contacted the studio owner about what I perceived to be behaior based on race. I could not have been more shocked when the studio owner then responded to me by telling me that she had contacted the teacher about this incident and the teacher said she was not a racist. I will definitely never go there again.

They're open and conducting safe classes, I just have an injury, otherwise I'd be there every single week! The low impact and exceptional core work is my favorite. I'm new to this side of town and decided to give this place a try. I am highly disappointed. Studio is nice and clean. Pricy but most reformer classes are. Yuan was my instructor and bc of her, I won't be back to try a different class or instructor. It was so bad. I felt like she knew a great deal about Pilates but not fitness or anatomy I'm general. I'm not a Pilates expert by any means, but I do work in fitness and consider myself to be pretty fit. I was so belittled with her passive aggressive comments throughout class. Everything from "you're fit but not Pilates fit" to "this is not for everyone" came out of her mouth. I felt like she thrived on making people feel small around her. I was definitely not the only one uncomfortable. Pilates is for everyone and so is all of fitness. Do yourself a favor and go to Boost Pilates instead.

To say this was an incredible experience would be a gross understatement! Life changing, transformative and healing are the words that come to mind and Amy's knowledge, guidance and support couldn't have exceeded my expectations more. Have you ever had an experience where you meet someone new and it feels like your soul has known this person forever? That's how it felt meeting Amy. Her soul shines brightly! I've never felt more comfortable and inspired in a training. Amy is an incredible Reiki master and trainer. Not only is she extremely knowledgeable and talented but she's also so welcoming, warm and relatable. Amy is an exceptional human with very special gifts to share. I give the highest recommendation, whether you're searching for a practitioner or interested in learning how to practice.

After the healings, my sleep issues were way improved, and I liked that each time she communicated what she found (blockages, etc.). She is knowledgeable, explains well, encourages questions, & did not rush the class along. She provided thorough written material with lots of resource info & tips, which I felt was better than trying to learn by reading online. I left the class excited to practice what I had learned. Amy has great qualities as a person, is a great healer & teacher & I highly recommend her.

If it's your first time then you have to use one of the tablets to sign a waiver; this only takes a minute or two. Once signed you'll show your ID to the staff upfront. It's a quick check in. This interactive gym that's got climbing walls, a yoga studio and a regular exercising area are spacious and clean. I mostly saw young/younger generations of people but didn't you worry; I'm very much middle aged and although it was my first time climbing today and I was able to manage most of the beginner/entry level ones with no issues. We all did some sort of climbing when we were younger, right? Then all you have to do is to let that younger self come out of you!! Depending on your experience level, you'll get to pick where you want to do your climbing (the levels are clearly marked.) It was a busy night at this fun gym but people were very respectful to each other taking turns. I walked around the entire facility to check things out and I was impressed as to how immaculately they maintain the place. Even women's locker room was extremely clean with no trash or whatsoever. I didn't realize that climbing was also a good cardio workout. This was much needed exercise for me for sure. If you end up making blisters just walk up to the front desk and ask for a band-aide or two. They appear to have several locations in the Denver metro area so if you see one in your neighborhood go check it out. ***Note*** You can rent climbing shoes so you don't need to own them. Make sure you soak yourself in a warm bath with epsom salt after the climbing because you WILL be sore (LOL)!

But the climbing compared to the other gyms was just meh. Englewood is still the biggest Movement location in Colorado as of April 2024. Work was still being done in the women's locker room and hang boards were still pending as of April 6, 2024. Parking was plentiful. That was nice. There wasn't a lot of seating next to outlets. Nothing special here either - there was talk of a sauna and/or steam room but I guess it didn't pan out. But a nice option for climbing if you are in the area.

Painted Rock Family Medicine was recommended by several people I know and trust. It happens to be very close to my office, which is extremely convenient. Their website is easy to navigate and I was able to look at the entire medical team. I was able to choose Darla who happens to be the founder and owner of Painted Rock. Unlike other doctor offices I did not have to wait weeks or months for an appointment. You can also upload information on their website to simplify the paperwork needed for their records. When I arrived for my appointment check in was simple and I did not wait more than 5 minutes to be taken back to a room. The medical assistant Danny was friendly and took all of my vitals. I met with Darla and did not feel rushed as I have at other doctors. Darla is personable, helpful and actually listened to my concerns. I had some blood work done and was informed of charges that would be additional from my annual physical exam. Based on my initial visit I am so happy to have found Painted Rock Family Medicine. I double checked to make sure this location was in network with my insurance and it was. But I did not know they were going to send my bloodwork from a yearly physical to a hospital in Cheyenne Wells, CO which is considered out of network. So even though I have never set foot in this hospital, I am getting an almost $2000 bill from them. In the paperwork I received from Painted Rock I can see that they say they send their lab work out, but I am unable to find any mention of Keefe Memorial Hospital in Cheyenne Wells, CO. This has been a very expensive headache and has been very frustrating.
