Is there ice cream good? Obviously or there would not be such a line all the time. Are their flavors straight forward? No, they don't always explain on the signs what are in some of the ice creams even though the pictures within the signs are supposed to help. It creates the long lines and where customers take longer and try more before buying. It is outside, so it is weather dependent for most to enjoy or not. Will I keep going to this Denver staple? Of course if I'm in the area.
Gooooooodness I forgot how much I love little man ice cream. There is always a line, but it moves fast and is so worth it. We got the salted peanut butter cup, the cupcake, and the cookie dough. The salted peanut butter cup was my favorite, closely followed by the cupcake (which had rainbow sprinkles in it and tasted spot on like a birthday cupcake). The cookie dough had a malted flavor that made it taste slightly off- I probably wouldn't get it again. Love the outdoor space with the antique seating and touches- so cute and fun. If you haven't done little man, you haven't done Denver.
First came back in 2018. I had completely forgotten that this place existed. And as I was walking by a few weeks ago and saw the dome, I was instantly transported back in my memories and like a cartoon character floating as they smell the pie placed in the window, my feet led me straight to the cashier of the place. It was Sunday early afternoon on a cold day in January 2026 when I came here. I was in a party of four. All of us stuffed but we decided to get some anyways. I went with the purple cow which is Black raspberry ice cream with white and dark chocolate chunks. Others went with one of their seasonal, a Salted Caramel Peanut Butter Cup and Vegan Salted Chocolate Oreo. You can get one scoops or many. They allow you small tasters as well. Service is quick, friendly and knowledgeable. Almost a must go to when in the area! And don't worry. If you're not an ice cream person they have shakes, floats, drinks, stickers and more!
Service wasn't great. We went towards the end of the night, so maybe they were all just tired. But the ice creams were very creamy and flavorful. I was told the birthday cake actually tasted like birthday cake and not the typical fake flavor. I got the ube (salted caramel I think) and I really enjoyed it!
Service: - Long lines, but there are multiple ordering stations which help the lines move quickly - They do offer samples, but depending on the employee, they may give you pressure to only try a couple flavors Dessert: - Salted oreo was interesting, basically just cookies and cream with added salt which enhances the sweetness
First time at Little Man! I ordered a single and split it into 2 generous sized scoops. I ordered the Ube and orange blossom pistachio. The ube was very unique, had a lot of depth and rich flavor. The pistachio had the perfect amount of pistachio flavoring. Both were so good!! The service was efficient and they offer as many tastes as you want. The ambiance was quaint, plenty of room to accommodate the long line. So good!
You really can't get a better ice cream experience in Denver then little man ice cream. Personally I will only go to their original highlands location ( big milk bottle). The colfax one although much larger and indoors , is still in an area that is a bit "sketch" The flavors are delicious and texture of ice cream is always the Right level of creaminess. Staff is very courteous and cheerful which is greatly received. Some may complain about the long lines that form but that's what is to be expected when dining on high quality food. Lines are long but the ice cream is worth the wait. Love their seasonal decorations too !
I have to say that I didn't have high expectations because the flavors are unusual but OMG I REALLY enjoyed my ice cream. I got a kid cup on a waffle cone and I think the portion was very generous. Despite how busy the place was, the staff member was patient and offered us the samples we wanted to try. I tried a pistachio orange blossom flavor and I didn't get a hint of either, so I tried the earl grey and cookie one. I got the two flavors exactly which I appreciated, but I didn't enjoy it. So, I finally, blindly settled on the grind (coffee custard with chocolate chips) and raspberry and I couldn't be happier. Not too sweet, not synthetic, and totally hit the spot!

Little Man Ice Cream is an iconic Denver ice cream spot. There's always a line, rain or shine, but it moves fast! - The Strawberry ice cream is the perfect sweetness and tasted fresh! It's tied with Salted Oreo for being my favorite Little Man Ice Cream flavor. - The Lemon Sorbet is refreshing but not super flavorful. It's not bad but compared to other flavors it's not worth getting. Little Man Ice Cream has shakes, banana splits and is constantly adding new flavors making it a versatile and fun spot to check out. There's better ice cream elsewhere but the energy and plenty of outdoor seating makes it a repeater! read more
Stopped by during a brief trip in Denver after hearing people rave about Little Man. Luckily, the weather wasn't too cold when I went the end of February, so it was a decent night to get ice cream. The line also wasn't too long when I arrived around 6:30 pm on Friday. They have rotating flavors and had Girl Scout cookie flavors when I was there. I got the Samoa flavor and I liked it! Very creamy and tasted very similar to the Samoa cookie. A kids cup is more than enough for one person. There's plenty of outdoor seating and close to a park if you want to take the ice cream to go. The area is also very cute, so good place to explore in the day time. read more

Love Little Man ice cream!! Salty Oreo and chocolate are my favorites. Banana pudding is also a popular flavor. I like that we can choose as many flavors as we like to sample and in our cup. The staff here are also so pleasant with good service. read more

Ah yes- the OG little man shop! With its iconic giant milkjug atop the hill in Highlands, it's practically a Denver right of passage to visit. Don't be intimidated by the line! It moves quickly! All your favorites- and more- to be found. Staff is so great! read more

Little Man Ice Cream was a great experience located near a real other businesses. I really enjoyed the cookie dough ice cream and my partner had the Salted Oreo ice cream! Both flavors were very tasty! Also the service was super quick and cordial. Great folks working. read more

It was 19 degrees outside with no line and I still got the ice cream two days in a row (I'm visiting from LA and this is THE BEST salted ice cream ever) You must get the salty O and the salted cream ube. You can do a split kids cup and it's the perfect amount. IT IS SO GOOD!!! GET IT!! read more

Great ice cream with a wide variety! Prices are reasonable. The location itself is great. Heaters outside if you want to stick around in the cold, and it's a cute building to visit as a tourist. The staff works through the line fast and you are served not long after ordering. I highly recommend the raspberry love! read more
This is a very popular ice cream stand. I thought they would have more flavors to choose from but I landed with Cookie Monster. It's a brown sugar based ice cream with fudge and oreo pieces swirled in. The cashier was patient and allowed me to sample my top 3 choices before choosing my final order. I think it's absurd to have 5 kinds of chocolate ice cream on the menu at once... The ice cream is good, good amount of seating surrounding the stand, friendly service and it's in a walkable area. read more

I can confidently say this was worth the 40-minute wait. I was excited to try this Denver staple and I am so glad I did. The ice cream texture is unlike your average ice cream; it is fluffy and chewy, almost like you can actually chew the ice cream. The consistency also makes it slow to melt. I ordered the strawberry flavor and it was incredible. On top of that, the cashiers were super friendly and genuinely happy to help, which made the experience even better. I highly recommend stopping by if you're in the area. read more
The staff was nice and asked me for sample. The ice cream was alright. I couldn't really taste the ube but it was a salty oreo of some sort. I ordered a kid size plus waffle and it came out to be $9. That was expensive though. The portion was big fortunately. read more
Little man ice cream is so tasty. I love most of the flavors at this place. I got three flavors this time and all of them were yummy. Salted peanut butter cup, buttermilk cupcake, and cookie dough. My favorite was salted peanut butter cup. It was the perfect blend of salty, peanut butter, and chocolate. My next favorite was the cupcake. It has sprinkles and little bit of cake from the cupcake in it. It literally tasted like a cupcake and they nailed it. My least but still good is the cookie dough. It's good but I don't think they quite got it. It's just got this sweet taste that doesn't quite taste right. It's almost like a malty taste and i'm not the hugest fan. Not saying it's inedible but I don't think I would get it again. Now one of my favorite things about this place is that its near commons park. You can get an ice cream and then walk to one of my favorite parks in Denver. It just makes the experience even better. read more

Little Man Ice Cream is always a must-visit when I'm in Denver. This location is typically super busy with a line down the block. However, there are multiple windows for the staff to take orders, and they're usually pretty good about moving through customers efficiently. I've never waited more than 30 minutes even with a long line. I enjoy the wide variety of creative flavors they offer. The 16th Street Chocolate is hands down my favorite though. It's a chocolate ice cream with brownie bites and fudge swirls. They do let you sample as many flavors as you'd like before you commit to a final decision. Overall a great spot for a sweet treat. read more

I saw this giant milk bottle the last time I was in Denver and lamented the fact that we missed out on it. I made a point to visit this time around and was not disappointed. We got here at almost 9 PM on a Tuesday and there was a line (that's a good sign!). I was excited to try all the flavors but ultimately tasted only a few. The ice cream is rich and creamy - a really good base. Half the flavors are salted and they have quite a few unique ones on here. I wound up with a regular (2 scoops) of Salted Peanut Butter Cup + Salted Ube Cheesecake. If I got a redo, I think I would get the Peanut Butter Cup + an unsalted one. Also, one of my friends found a pro tip. If you want less ice cream, the kids scoop also comes with two flavors - just two smaller scoops. read more

Really great little ice cream shop in downtown Denver, the service was very professional and pleasant. The ambiance is really cool it has unique feel to it. Which I was to expecting and the crowd was quite large despite the cold weather which was pretty shocking for a guy from the desert like me. They have a bunch of unique flavors which quite delicious. The NY Times recommended this homemade ice cream shop with specialty homemade toppings as the best. The large milk can and huge line couldn't be missed. The whimsical factory opened in 2019 and you right now if you shops all around Denver. Seating was quirky & the music set the relaxed vibe. There was a lot of unique & colorful seating & lots of umbrellas to keep us cool We got on the line prepared to wait about 30 minutes to order. The flavors were unusual, it was a very difficult choice. Three different chocolates, strawberry cheesecake, UBE cream cheese and I don't know what purple cow is. Went on a Saturday night and there was surprisingly not a long line... maybe because we're the crazy ones getting ice cream when it's 30 degrees out! Little Man is always the right choice. Historic Ice Cream shop that immediately attracts your attention with the gigantic milk container it is housed in. The bold flavors represent Denver at its finest. We loved the Hokey Pokey and Space Junkie flavors. Salty Oreo which is the most popular was too salty to our liking. Waffle cone is a great choice. The staff is super friendly in explaining the ingredients of each flavor and sample tasting. read more

Was walking in the area and saw the huge milk can so decided to stop for ice cream. They have a ton of interesting and original flavors. They will allow you to try as many flavors as you want. The server was friendly. We eventually decided on the salter caramel peanut butter cup and salty o which is salty cookies and cream. So delicious! read more

We luckily beat the rush after lunch and were able to sample a lot of interesting and creative flavors. I got a kid's scoop of the salted ube cream cheese and while it was pricey even for a kid's size, the portion was enough for a little sweet treat after a meal. While the ube flavor was pretty mild, I still personally enjoyed it. It did get a little too heavy near the end and unfortunately turned out to be quite icy. I wasn't a huge fan of the other flavors I sampled either. Other than that, the service was a little inattentive and it appeared like nobody wanted to work there. Long line, but it moves quickly. The customer service was excellent- super friendly and willing to let you try different flavors. I got the Salted O, basically salted oreo flavor (not the vegan one). It was absolutely delicious - it was definitely very salty so keep that in mind. I got the whipped cream topping and they gave me plenty, so I appreciate that. Lots of outdoor seating as well. read more
