My friend ordered one of their lighter beers and really enjoyed it too. The patio itself was such a nice spot to relax, with a laid-back atmosphere that made it easy to stay awhile. The Highland cows I mean... how often do you get to sip a beer AND pet adorable, fluffy cows wearing little festive hats?! It was such a unique touch that made the whole event stand out from your typical bar scene. Marble always delivers on a great beer selection, but events like this take it to another level. As visitors, we had no idea this was part of "restaurant week," and no one disclosed it when we ordered. That lack of transparency felt deceptive. Service did not justify that kind of tip. We had very little attention from our waitstaff, long stretches without check-ins and minimal engagement. Meanwhile, the table right next to us received constant attention from both the manager and staff. The manager was explaining dishes and making sure they were taken care of, while we were largely ignored. The difference in treatment was obvious. When we questioned the charge, the manager's response was dismissive: "it's on the website." That's not acceptable. If you're adding a mandatory gratuity of that size, it should be clearly communicated at the table--especially to out-of-town guests. We were happy with the food and pricing, but adding a surprise $44 tip without telling us ruined what should have been a special anniversary dinner. We left feeling misled and undervalued. Be aware: ask about automatic gratuity before you order, or you may end up with unexpected charges like we did. We won't be back.
