My favorite Chinese place in mamaroneck, and I've tried almost every single one around here. The fried rice is delicious and not overly greasy, and the sesame chicken and shrimp with vegetables is also another favorite of mine. Ever since Taku in Harrison changed owners things of gone way downhill for me when ordering Chinese in Harrison. We tried a few places,(non as good as Taku was) Szechuan Garden seems to be the best find. With that said we tried more for a better fit.. Little Kitchen isn't it.. Food doesn't taste good. we order a few dishes and everyone missed big time. The vegetable fried rice is barely boiled white rice with a few carrot bits. We called and asked if maybe they made a mistake, and they said "that's it." My advice is to stay away.. Plenty of mediocre places to order from in this area. read more

Best Chinese food on Mamaroneck Ave. They definitely try harder with their food than corner store places typically do. In my mind, despite the atmosphere being lacking (albeit still nicer than most Chinese counters) the good compares to the nice Chinese restaurants (Bao's etc.) in the area. I really recommend the sesame chicken (even though the menu has good variety.) It is all white meat, very crisp, flavorful, and not too sweet. They even put in some green beans, and in the past, have subbed in broccoli for me. Their egg roll is one of 3 in Westchester, and one of about 6 ever, that I will eat. They were nice enough to take my order at 10 on a Tuesday. Another pro is the price. Their "combo plates" have more than enough main dish and rice for one meal, and come with a can of soda or an egg roll. These are available all day, every day. The place also accepts debit/credit cards. The drawback? You will wait about 20 minutes for your food, so call it in and don't be starving when you do. Also, their seating area is the same as their waiting area is the same as their counter area, which is next to an open kitchen. This means that although they are trying to be a restaurant, you may want to do take out. read more

Best Chinese food ever! The house special wonton soup is amazing, with bite size wontons, vegetables, chicken and shrimp. The mango chicken is sweet and a little spicy, perfect combo. Just ordered from there via online and they told me an hour for delivery. I was totally ok with that until I called to see where my food was and they told me another 30 or 40 mins. I always order pad Thai. I love Pad Thai! It's not too greasy and no sweet taste. Fried eggs are included, which is good and makes it mild and deep taste. "Moyashi" which is a kind of bean sprout, makes it crunchy, and I like it. I'm from Japan. Maybe most Japanese like it! I believe most Asian people like it. read more

Top-notch stuff here, dudes. It's like every other hole-in-the-wall Chinese take-out place, except for the fact that it is nothing like those and is awesome. Stuff looks and tastes like real foods, speedy service, staff is friendly and their daughter speaks perfect English so you don't have to be paranoid about them not understanding you. My only suggestion would be to get take-out instead of dine-in during the summer, as the open kitchen does bring the ambient temp in the restaurant up to an uncomfortable temperature for a noble northern-european like myself. read more

I ordered lunch from here and I was so happy with it! I ordered the Dim Sum Fried Dumplings, the lunch serving of the Garlic Chicken with vegetable fried rice, rangoon wontons, and egg drop soup. (I ordered so much because there is a $15 delivery limit.) The dumplings were amazing. So well put together and they were just what I wanted. The Garlic Chicken is spicy, but delicious. The portion lasted me two days worth of lunches. The rice is out of this world. They gave a huge portion of veggies, which were fresh and very well done. The egg drop soup lacked flavor and the rangoons looked amazing, but fell short with the cheese filling. But other than those two items, I was fully satisfied with my lunch. We are ashamed to admit we overlooked Little Kitchen for a long time. We finally tried it and were pleasantly surprised. The best Chinese food around in our opinion and we've tried them all. This place is among Westchester's finest. The food is consistently tasty, restaurant clean, and the owners clearly run a tight ship. Great vegetarian options. My boyfriend eats here consistently after sampling many establishments in the area has settled on this. If you're looking for your typical overly-salty, greasy Chinese, this isn't the place. If you want flavorful, quality, consistent food, come here and continue coming here. This is a step up from all of the gross, low-tier Chinese joints in Mamaroneck including: Dragon City, Best Chinese, Great Wall II, etc. It is equivalent in quality and taste but also cheaper than Gin Ban and all other Asian Fusions in Mamaroneck. The only thing that comes close is Lum Yen but who wants to pay $20 for Chinese take-out? read more

Although I think the food is decent quality, the management is horrible. I never write any reviews, good or bad, but the experiences with this restaurant have been overwhelmingly horrid. Its hard to give any establishment a 5 star rating. I haven't tried all their food and im sure it would take some time to accomplish that. With that said, the food I have eaten from her is very close to being a 5. Pad Thai was really good ( a little spicy for my liking) and the lunch combos all come with plenty of food. Only one downside is, every time we've ordered from here we have to wait when we go in to pick up our orders. If you say 15 minutes it should be ready fairly close to 15 minutes. If it's going to be 25, then just say its going to be 25 and I will show up then! read more

Excellent! I have been hearing about this place for a while and finally go to check it out today. The won ton soup was very tasty and the dumplings in it were nice and light. I had the shrimp with the spicy mango sauce and asked that it not be too spicy. It was perfect. There were generous slices of mango, very large shrimp and jicama in a wonderful sauce. For $7.95, this was a very generous portion, it was more than enough. Can't wait to try more dishes from this wonderful restaurant! read more

Wonton soup was good. Then I had their general tso's chicken which was horrible. It was rock hard and over fried to the point you couldn't even taste the chicken.. Brown rice was bland. Little Kitchen is our go-to for a quick dinner with the kids. Most of the time the food is good, but we have found some days it is inconsistent. The kids like their chicken and broccoli and beef sate is a family favorite. The ribs are not your typical asian ribs, they are honey soaked and very tender. The General Tso has a nice flavor, but sometimes the breading is very hard. Delivery takes a very long time, so we often pick up. Even with pick up, on busy nights you could be waiting a while.
