How have I not found this place sooner?? I've lived in Mamaroneck for 15 years and never knew there was a great Chinese takeout restaurant was so close. Even better, you can get a combination platter for less than $12 that includes entree, fried rice and egg roll. I got the cashew chicken and my sister had the garlic chicken. Both were amazing! I have always loved this place - we have been great customers and order at least twice a month. Well, today will be the last time I order from here. Both mine and my husbands General Tso's were so incredibly spicy. I called the restaurant to let them know that our meals are inedible. The woman argued with me telling me they did nothing different than they always do. I explained that we are loyal customers and order almost every week or so and that I have never had this issue with them - she said I was wrong, they make it the same every time. I told her that I enjoy very spicy food and I can't even eat it and she continued to argue with me. I asked her if she was going to make this right or not and she told me that they did nothing different. I told her that she's losing a loyal customer by not making this right and her response was...OKAY. I asked if she was serious and she said yes. So, that the last time they will receive my business. Harrison has a few Chinese take-out places scattered around just like any of the other surrounding towns of Mamaroneck, Rye or Port Chester. After taking over from the previous owners, the current proprietors of this space opened up New China III and have done good things with it. The Fuji Chinese & Japanese restaurant before this did neither cuisines very well and I'm glad the new owners decided to go back to their roots and are doing what they do best. They've also embraced the internet by offering on-line ordering with delivery, either through GrubHub or their own website. The lunch specials are your standards that you'll find on most any take-out Chinese menu. General Tso's Chicken, Beef & Broccoli, Egg Foo Young or Sweet & Sour Pork are all here. I can't quantify it, but the taste seems to hit it just right and there seems to be that extra shrimp or piece of chicken that makes their dishes just that much more enjoyable. Maybe it's the cute sectioned plastic take-out containers. Maybe it's snowing like crazy out there and any food right now is ambrosia, but we'll just have to keep on coming back for more. read more

Food was average. Delivery was speedy. I ordered off the Grubhub app. I specified extra chicken for an extra 2 dollars. The portion was less than average even adding the extra chicken. The restaurant did not include utensils or fortune cookies. They only gave one packet of soy sauce, duck sauce, and hot sauce. They only gave me 2 napkins. I also specified pork fried rice with my order but received white rice. Overall I would give them my business. I love the little things in Chinese food, like pork bits in the Wonton soup, bits of egg in the fried rice, pineapple in the sweet and sour chicken. I've tried just about every Chinese food from Harrison to new Rochelle and this is my favorite. When I moved from the Bronx 8 years ago I began my quest. If you are looking for fast food-like american-chinese food, this is the option my husband would recommend. You will find the classics, get generous portions, and have leftovers. Very reliable too. Hands down the best Chinese Take Out in Harrison. I cant say enough about this place. Since I moved here in early 2012 Ive tried many in town even the previous establishment at this location. Nothing holds a candle to this place. Lisa who works the counter ( I assume that's her name from my receipts) is always friendly over the phone for delivery and in person when I pick up....that seems to a rarity. THE BEST Chinese restaurant. The customer service is great and super polite. The owners of this restaurant originally had a place in Larchmont where I had always ordered food from. When they moved I was extremely upset. My family and I tried finding different Chinese spots but none of them were as good as they were. One day we were in Harrison and came across New China III. I didn't realize until after I ordered that Judy the owner of the restaurant was the one who took my order. I was extremely excited. She's super sweet and great customer service. Very very happy, we had Sesame chicken, General Taos chicken, boneless spare ribs, shrimp roll & egg rolls, vegetable fried rice and pork fried rice...we like white meat only and it was nice size pieces of only white meat chicken in both sesame & General Taos dishes!! Boneless spare ribs can be greasy but these were NOT. No leftovers.. Enjoyed by a 15 month old, 4 year old and 5 adults from 35 to to 68 yo. If you want good take out New China is the best in Harrison you can taste the freshness of the vegetables, we tried different dishes shrimp, chicken, beef all were delicious.
