Biggest mistake, never come here on weekends unless you want to be stepped on and have people cut in line ahead of you. Customers just crowd all over the cashiers register. By the time I got to the front, it was the cashiers/ servers discretion on whom he/she would serve first (can't blame them), by the time I got a guys attention he ignored me to chit chat with someone whom He knew, maybe a friend. Gotta say I love the food, but it' was too harrowing of an experience to ever wanna come back. The restaurant itself is casual, but the interior is really cute and inviting, with happy music playing in the background that adds to the upbeat atmosphere. This is a walk-up-and-order type of restaurant, and they bring your food out to you when it's ready. I found the service to be exceptionally friendly, informative, and still very professional. When I ordered the tandoori chicken, they let me know it would take about 15-20 minutes. Honestly, I had no problem waiting--I'd much rather wait a little longer and have my food freshly cooked! The tandoori chicken comes with mint chutney and sliced onions, along with half a chicken. I also ordered an additional side of their cilantro chutney, and let me tell you... so, so good! The chicken was incredibly moist, packed with flavor, and cooked beautifully. I was also happy that the heat level was very low. You get all that wonderful flavor without the heat overpowering the dish. At only $12.99, the portion, quality, and flavor make this dish an excellent value. This was my first visit, but based on the food and the menu, it definitely won't be my last. Next time I'm in the area, I'll be trying a different dish because their menu has quite a few things that caught my eye. If you're looking for flavorful Indian food in a casual, welcoming setting, O'Desi Aroma is definitely worth checking out!

Food Review:…read more We visited Roti Grill in Frisco and ordered the Lamb Shank with Rice, Chicken Vindaloo with Naan, and Palak Paneer with Naan. The Lamb Shank took a little longer to prepare, but unfortunately, it was not as tender as I had hoped. In fact, I needed a steak knife to cut through it. However, the gravy was delicious -- rich, flavorful, and well-seasoned without being overly spicy. The Chicken Vindaloo and Palak Paneer were the real highlights of the meal. Both were cooked perfectly, with thick, rich, and flavorful gravies that paired beautifully with the Naan. Speaking of the Naan, it was excellent -- perfectly crispy on the outside while remaining soft and fluffy. Overall, despite the slightly disappointing Lamb Shank, the other dishes more than made up for it. Food Rating: 8/10 Ambiance Review: The ambiance was great, with classy decor and tasteful furniture that gave the restaurant an elegant yet casual feel. It was not particularly crowded when we walked in, though there were a few other diners. I really liked the interior. Both our server and the owner checked on us several times to make sure we were comfortable and enjoying our meal. The ambiance itself is beautiful. The restaurant was not very busy, which was actually pretty surprising for a spot that I thought would be a hot spot. We were promptly seated, but the service was a little slow this evening. We did let our waitress know about that. She mentioned that she got caught up at a couple of tables. We started with some cocktails, and they were quite tasty. The presentation definitely has some hype, including the usual smoking and unvailing the smoked drink at the table. All the food was delicious except for the veggie kebabs. They tasted a little doughy and uncooked on the inside. We actually ended up sending them back, and they were really nice about the whole situation. I did think a restaurant like this could have gone over the top to make that situation better, and they did not. Which is fine. We also got the chicken appetizer as well as the paneer tikka. Those appetizers were unpointed delicious. The paneer was a little softer than I was expecting, but the flavor was delicious. For entrees, we got one of the chicken curries as well as one of the mutton curry-type dishes. And we also got some naan. All the food was delicious and super flavorful. It was my partner's birthday, and they brought out a nice little surprise chocolate cake for her. Less as well. That was also super tasty. Our bill for the two of us came out to about $400, which we have no problem paying, and I hate being one of those people complaining about fine dining prices. I do think for that price point, the service could be a little better, and they could take extra special care of their guests. Again, I do hope more of these Indian fine dining establishments make it to the DFW area!
