Lunch at @99ranchmarket foodcourt Since this was a foodcourt, I will not be rating the Customer Service or Atmosphere, this rating will purely be based on the food we ate. What we ate: Beef Noodle Soup - a solid dish, the beef was tender and flavorful, the noodles were perfectly chewy, the soup was a bit plain; I prefer the spicy soup in Sichuan cuisine over this soup, but I was told that the Taiwanese version of the beef noodle soup is a lot more mellow in flavor, in general. Considering all that, I will give this dish a solid 8 out of 10. Mince Dry Noodles - good flavors, creamy, salty, savory. A solid 8.5.

But Cioppino was not how it's usually prepared the broth seemed very light , seasoning was not up to the mark & the mussels were ok ... had better mussels in other places... it's a seafood place so we were expecting nice juicy mussels but the meat in clams & mussels were extremely small.... That was a let down... we did take the leftover broth to have it later but it didn't tasted good ( turned very sour) so threw it away... BEWARE: make sure you always check your food / snacks from bulk section I bought some of the watermelon chili candies today, ate a couple at home then looked at one of them out of pure randomness and noticed something moving...it was a maggot I never spit out something so fast in my life Was told on the phone there's no way maggots could be in these candies... Went to the store and literally had to show them the whole bucket had more maggots... "best they could do" was refund my $5... Obviously stuff happens but this was one of the grossest experiences in d ever encountered and will be reporting to Texas HHS

I walked here, so I was ready to help myself to every tasting station they had, in every dept. I mean tastings in the produce section, tastings in the bakery, tastings in the dry goods - LA needs to bump up their grocery store tastings and get on this level. A grocery store wine tasting is really a beautiful thing. I can't rave about this location anymore than I already have. I am head over heels. I fill my Rx's here, floral is outstanding, balloons lovely, bakery superb, prices on meats unreal. Holiday items always on point. There's not more I can say. I am a huge fan. H-E-B meets my needs in a real way, but of course I still must dabble at all of my other spots because they do too ;) LOVE this store, one of the very few places I will miss dearly when I depart from 75024.
