It's nice I guess for an average experience shopping but the employees that man the seafood and deli section aren't helpful at all. Especially the seafood section guy with the goatee I think. I pointed at the sign that said $10/per Ib and he passive aggressively gave me 2 pounds for $21 with a passive aggressive smile knowing he knew what I meant. All bagged up. When I got to the register, I sent it back. I don't like doing that, but I also don't like anyone passive aggressive either and thinking they're going to get over on me. Overall, nice for quick pick up items, but actually interacting with the employees? No. I've only had one good interaction with an employee there who seemed happy about his job. Most of the time, it's good but the quality is lacking. You have the choice to "request a refund" after the delivery. Quality guaranteed. Whoever has been choosing my groceries has no clue what quality is. Most of the time, my packaged fruit is moldy, chips or bread underneath canned foods, meat that is supposed to be sealed is opened or items have opened up in the bottom of bags. So, I request refunds. I received an email saying that I would not be receiving any more refunds. How can shopping at Kroger for many years turn into this when I depend on their delivery service as a senior? Anyway, can't wait for HEB to open near us Carrollton. In the meantime, I'll shop elsewhere. If you're a senior, can't go to the market, and depend on delivery.....DON'T USE KROGER'S! The quality you receive is not good or guaranteed and refunds will not be honored.

I won't be hitting the HEB at dawn/ 7AM anymore to beat the crowds, I'll do Winco once a month when I wake up early at 4AM and can get there from Plano with zero traffic and red lights. They have better prices on a lot of things than Walmart and certainly than Kroger. If your grocery bill is exploding the last year or two try shopping here at least once a month. Best part was the checker said they are an employee owned company which is a huge plus to me over over these chains that are gouging people over profits on food and staples while not giving any benefits because they mostly staff with part timers. H-E-B is more mid-market, Joe V's is the bargain end, and Central Market is the crown jewel. And honestly, shopping here is an experience. Much like IKEA, the store is designed to lead you through the entire place, so you're constantly seeing something else that makes you think, "Oh, I need that." They carry tons of regional specialties, including plenty that aren't even from Texas, plus an impressive selection of prepared foods. The bakery is lovely, and the meat section is downright glorious. We happened to be here at the tail end of Hatch chile season, which is apparently a VERY real thing. Every August, Central Market celebrates with about two weeks of Hatch chile everything. We're talking marinated meats, salsas, chips, cheeses, dips, even cookies. Basically, if they can put a Hatch chile in it, they will. We bought a few things to take home and try later, but we also grabbed an Asian chicken wrap with sweet potato fries from the cafe.
