The beer is great, the rest...meh. Here is a quick review that mirrors the amount of time we wanted to spend here. To be fair, two of our three-person party were hungry and wanted to go to dinner. But that third person (husband) was the main reason we were in Brussels and his main reason was to drink Belgian beer. So we acquiesced. As mentioned, the beer was great. We ordered a flight and shared it. BUT we are used to some sort of indication what beers are included in the flight and didn't get that. Just a bunch of delicious beers quickly served in a dripping wet, wooden flight tray (or whatever these things are called). The waiter was a bit harried and working the place alone, so no real complaints there. He was doing his best. Note: if you plan on adding these beers to your Untappd profile, you will struggle. Even the waiter couldn't tell us with certainty which beers were were given. The outside tables were in need of a wiping down and you definitely wouldn't want to put your bag on the ground here, but it was fine. On the plus side, we found a table immediately and our beer was served in less than 5 minutes. If you are cool with all that, and you are really just here for the beer, you won't be disappointed. If I could have given a 3.5 stars, I would have.

One of the best stops in Belgium! The delirium brewery made the Belgium trip for me! Must go here if you enjoy beer. They have all types of beer and you are bound to find many you like. I enjoyed almost every beer I tried, especially some hard to find Trappist beer! Also, the prices are great so you won't be breaking the bank for these amazing brews. Imagine, I pay double for Delirium beer in the states and it is only half the price at it's hometown! That's a win for me! I HIGHLY recommend trying their selection of trappist beer as they have award winning selections that may be hard to find elsewhere! If you enjoy beer and you don't visit Delirium in Belgium, I feel bad for you! Chill vibe and self-seating. Wi-Fi did not work when we visited, but it didn't matter with the great selection of beer!

Great little place to sample some belgian beers! Personally, I am not a big "drinker", but I was in Brussels so I had to try some! When I first got the beer menu, I was overwhelmed, but the workers were very helpful in assisting me to decide what was best for me! They recommended that I taste one dark beer, one light beer, and one red. They asked me my flavor preferences and gave me a few recommendations from each category.

I went here earlier this month, and the service was terrible. It took me 5 minutes to finally get the bartender's attention to order a drink when it wasn't even busy. He served everyone else that came in after me. Other than that, the atmosphere is nice for a dive bar.

Great beer selections (maybe 15) from the Delirium brewery on tap! All less than $5 a glass. We couldn't make it to the brewery, but the bar was pleasant. They also have a variety of cocktails and liquors- along with sodas and juices for all the non alcoholic drinkers. They don't have food, but they do allow you to bring food/snacks inside if you would like. Ps. There are some tasty Greek takeaways across the street.

    Some many beer taps...

After having dinner, I noticed that our restaurant was twenty yards from this bar which I had on my list to try. If you are into Belgium beers in which I am a major fan of this is a good place to try with over 30 beers on tap! They have outdoor and indoor seating, a minimum of €5 charge is required as in most places. It is not much on atmosphere but the beer is very very good with a big selection and the prices are cheap compared to what you pay in the US. Most beers are €4 or less. Well worth the visit, note atmosphere is not so great but in this case it's all about the beer. I had the Corne du Bois de Pendus La Tripel 10, a nice triple. My wife had the Lindeman's Peach lambic which she enjoyed.

We always seem to have dismissed/ignored this place in the past. It may not be the delirium bar of legend, but it still serves a lot of good beer! Delirium Red is a very good beer and the music selection was pretty tight too! (See photo below)

I always find myself remembering a beautiful August afternoon just absorbing all that Brussels has to offer. I loved sitting here for an hour enjoying our beer flights (3 beers for 6 euros!) and people watching. It's a great small bar with attentive bartenders....One day I'll go back.. P.S. I am looking for Delirium Red everywhere! :-/

Beer in Brussels...let the bartender choose a selection for you at Little Delirium.

Great place to hang streetside and sample some delicious Belgian beers! They offer 3 glasses for €6.50, so two people can easily sample 6 different beers. The biggest challenge is knowing what to try from their massive, all on tap menu. Our strategy: tell the server to let the bartender choose, and that you want 6 very different beers ranging in color and alcohol content. Worked grandly for us. I'd give them 5 stars is they offered flights of six beers on a board.

They've got so many offerings, quaint decor on every floor, various places to sit, including a rooftop. It's definitely a touristy thing to do but with over 2,000 beers to choose from, who cares? I loved every minute of it. It's crazy busy at times especially when live music events are taking place. We shared a Yard Stick which were multiple beers (smaller taster sizes). See my pics for exactly how many. Service was exceptional.

They're known for having one of the biggest beer selections in the world, and you can literally spend hours just reading the menu. We ordered their famous beer flight that comes with 10 different types of beers. Each one was completely unique, different flavors, colors, and strengths. It was such a fun way to try a variety without committing to just one. Some were light and refreshing, others were strong and bold. I loved that every glass felt like a new experience. The service was great! The staff were friendly, welcoming, and made the whole experience even better. They also have a photobooth inside, which was such a fun surprise. Perfect spot to make memories with friends. If you're in Brussels and want the full Belgian beer experience, this spot is a must-visit. So worth it!

Oh where are you Green Fairy? Have you gotten lost or have I failed to find you again?…read more ...it's been years since I've first had absinthe, but hot damn- if there was going to be another time I try this spirit, it was going to be here at Floris. Situated right across from Delirium and next to miss Jeanneke Pis, Floris is the quintessential absinthe bar that everyone should visit in Brussels. If you've never had absinthe (or tasted the watered down variation that the States sells), this is a MUST. It's hard to describe what absinthe is supposed to do to you but it'll come in due time. The bartender we had was extremely friendly and knowledgable about absinthe. They probably get questions all the time so don't fret if you're new. They'll make a recommendation for you based on your taste preference, tolerance level, etc. If you've never made an absinthe drink before, you're in luck. It's a lot of fun dripping water over the sugar cube and distilling it. If you're a brave (or naive) soul, you can simply take it as a shot, but be warned that the effects may come quicker than you can handle. I absolutely loved Floris and will be back the next time I'm in Brussels. (Fitting Yelp review for my birthday post)

When in Rome...When in Brussels, you must drink some Absinthe :-)…read more Oh the Green Fairy is thriving in this joint. Super friendly bartenders, hundreds, yes hundreds of various absinthe bottles from all over the world - including (drum roll) Seattle. Floris offers a unique atmosphere and a memorable experience. Knowledgeable staff is privy to many absinthe fun facts and will gladly share tidbits with you. Now for the main course: we sampled 3 kinds of this infamous spirit. Compete with sugar cubes and flames of course. I can honestly tell you, it tastes like @%&, but gives you a very different yet quick buzz. Eager to get the full experience, one of our rounds included absinthe with the highest concentration of worm wood available these days, which is 35%. P.S. Totally worth a visit, and this is a full bar, so other spirits are available if you so desire.
