I love Brewdog beers, and they are hard to find in the US, so while visiting the beer capital of the world (Brussels) I nevertheless decided to try beer from Scotland. The place is located right where all the tourist activities start on the outskirts of the old town. Restaurant is large, with variety of tables and booth spread out all over the place. I was in the mood for the dark beer, so first I had Cake Cartel Porter which was amazing, and next I had Alice Porter which was excellent but a lot more dry than the first one, so it would be better to drink them in the reverse order. Before I talk about food I need to talk about service. This is where Brewdog instantly loses all the points. I got my first beer quickly, but then nobody was coming to get the next beer or order food. Waitstaff doesn't wear any specific uniforms so it is impossible to even wave at someone. Finally I got someone to stop by and orders second beer and the burger. Whomever took my order didn't even care to explain that the burger would come without any fries or any side. The burger was tasty, but the overall experience was definitely subpar thanks to the dismal service. This place is still recommended (good beers), but maybe just sit at the bar... read more

Came here for a beer as I was looking for some hops and hazy flavors as a change from all of the Belgian abbey beers. The location is easy to find across from the Centrale Train Station and is a large space with outside deck / patio. There is seating all around as well as at the bar. The food menu looked okay but I did not try. The beer offerings had a good variety along with some guest beer and ciders. They also have wine. Only shock is the sticker price in that the pints are €12 which is high compared to most places in town. read more

The wife and I have been eyeing BrewDog's Wings Wednesday promotion for some time now and finally decided to pull the trigger on it last night. We made a reservation in advance, as required and when we arrived, there was already a group sitting at the table with our name on it. No problem, we were just moved to the next table. We ordered two rounds of the wings. The beer, even BrewDog's own beer is outrageously exspensive and overpriced. Despite this, I got a Punk IPA, which I did enjoy. They had a good list of guests on tap we well, but some were nearly 10€ for 33cl. Oof. The wings were fine. What you'd expect from hot wings. Though some came sauced, other with the hot sauce on the side. We also got an order of fries and sweet potato fries as well for a starch. The incredibly annoying thing was the service though. There were five different servers over the course of our 90 min meal who interacted with us. They'd ask if we wanted another round of wings...right after we'd order them from another server. At one point, we order another round, but that server forgot to put in the order so we other them from ANOTHER server. Same thing happened multiple times with drinks. We would order another round and then another server would come over to ask if we wanted another round. It was like being in a fever dream. The communication between the staff was so non-existent, that at one point, 30min past time time of our reservation, ANOTHER server came over to tell us we had to move because the table was reserved. Yeah... Reserved for us, as i confirmed it was me who the reservation was for, save we were already there... And had been for some time. Infuriating. There's also some... Questionable graffiti in the women's bathroom. My wife sent me a picture of obscenities against trans people as well as women, which I'm not going to post. Why they haven't gotten rid of it is beyond me. In the end, it set us back 70€. All you can eat wings are 16.50 a person, which is fine, but where they get you is the drinks. All in all, frustrating service, exspensive beer, and average wings. You decide. read more

Great brewery located right across from Brussels Central train station. They offer a huge selection of craft beers from their chain as well as other Belgian brewers. If you're a beer lover, it's definitely worth a stop. I was particularly impressed with the bartender and his knowledge of all the beers they had. I had some questions and he was able to offer descriptions and tasting notes for each. I ended up trying a flight of several different beers. I have been wanting to go to a BrewDog and saw this one right outside the Hilton (Central Station). The beers were good but they seemed to not have a lot of their stuff on tap and only in cans/bottles. I love Brussels and this is the first place where I've visited where service was just meh. The bartenders weren't overly friendly and I think most places I've been here I've experienced exactly the opposite in service. Somewhat of a tourist trap, but I was waiting for my little sisters train to arrive & this was the nearest bar. Foolish local that I am, I went for the highest abv beer. 16.5% and that's you're credit card interest rate to pay for it as it cost just short of €15! Not too bad though... This is a dive bar, full of tourists waiting for their train home or the odd local like me waiting for someone's train to arrive. We got off our train at the central station early in the day and saw the BrewDog logo right away. I knew I'd have to come back to check out the restaurant. When we did, we walked around to check the place out, then grabbed a beer and a booth right by the door. While the guest tap selection provided some good options, I was pretty disappointed that there were only 2 BrewDog beers on tap. I was excited to taste a good number of their beers but most of them were in cans. I know cans keep the beer happy, but draft beer is really the best way to taste what the brewer intended. As far as the food goes, we were very happy with both items. We ordered the fried squid circles, which means calamari to me, and a burger. Both were cooked well and really, really tasty. The sauces that accompanied them were spot on. BrewDog seemed to be a happening after-work spot for the locals while accommodating the tourist crowd as well. I'd recommend stopping in for a bite and a beer, but unless this was an anomoly, don't expect a bunch of BrewDog beers on tap. read more

As a person who doesn't like most beers, and who hates dive bars, I really loved Brewdog. It is a huge bar with many different seating areas and a good amount of light. It seems like a very good place to host a group event, since this is one of the few bars I've been to in Belgium with enough space to do so. It does have a bit of a sterile, impersonal feel to it, but I personally prefer clean bars to divey ones, and it's nice to be able to hear the person next to you talking. They had a wide variety of beers in different styles, which I really appreciated since I dislike a lot of the more traditional beers. Most surprisingly, the food was good, which I truly did not expect. I ordered a veggie burger, and the patty was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. It came with really delicious fried potatoes, a small salad, and a bunch of sauces on the side. My dining companions were also happy with their food, and they ordered fried chicken and a sate platter. I would definitely go back to Brewdog, and their outdoor area seems like it will be great once the weather warms up. read more

Okay. You're in Brussels so if you're coming here for beer you should know better. As vegetarians we came for the beyond burger and chik'n sandwich. The beers were the best part. The bun was maybe the stalest thing we'd ever seen served. And somehow they managed to take the beyond product and ruin it. We had a side of smashed cucumber salad. I guess that means quick pickled cucumber spears that somehow had no salt. How do pickles have no salt? Service was exceptionally terrible, except the time from food order, to deliver. That took less than 5 minutes (which is a huge red flag). Should've just eaten peanuts at one of the many awesome beer places around instead of paying 70 euros to watch these guys use a microwave. read more

This place is really convenient to the train station and probably a better place to meet up with friends. YES BREWDOG! Not only are you amazing in my home country, you also prove with this place that you are awesome on an interntional level as well! This place is HUGE. There's plenty of seating but it got really busy in the evening and the clientele is really eclectic. Back home it's usually nerds, people who are really passionate about beer and the odd tourist here and there in your local BrewDog. Whereas here it was anyone and everyone from men in suits to an elderly group of ladies in their 60s/70s. There seemed to be a bigger selection on draft to what they have in the UK bars, a long with all of the usual suspects/favourites. I'm sad that the WIFI password that you can use in all of their UK locations didn't work, it's the small things and I couldn't pretend I was clever then. The only other difference I noticed was the food menu, it seemed to be more of a restaurant/more formal type of affair than the burgers/toasties you get back in the UK in BrewDog. The staff also didn't seem overly keen on giving you a taster of what's on draft, whereas in the UK that's just standard before you choose what to buy. I really enjoyed checking out my first international BrewDog...that's another one ticked off the list! read more

Cons: overpriced, small-ish tap selection (how do you not carry Punk IPA on tap and call yourself a BrewDog bar?), inundated with hipsters and foreigners, odd table policy (you're bused to a different area if you sit somewhere not to their liking, even when the establishment is clearly not busy) BrewDog beer. I would recommend this place only if you're stuck at Bruxelles-Central and for some reason can't make the 10-12 minute walk to one of the many other great establishments near the Grand Place who will still gouge your wallet but offer better local options than the Scottish import. read more

I was very excited when I saw this place was opening near Gare Centrale (Centraal station). I always thought that there was nothing really nice around this area when you are waiting for a delayed train (something that can happen right?). The space at the Brewdow is wonderful, industrial looking, tastefully decorated, almost a flawless job on that regard I must admit. I feel like I am looking to an old movie theater board when I look at the beer board. I find all that rather amusing and interesting. Brewdog is a concept that comes originally from Scotland I think and now it is a franchise. There were probably some hicks of course when the franchise was adapted to Brussels. First the prices are a bit excessive. OK most of the stuff is imported, OK we are right at the center. OK no problem, I pay the prices. They do have some interesting IPAs that I haven't seen very often in Brussels, so life is good... but... The major issue is the service (should I say as usual?). I ask for my first beer in English and I felt I was speaking Zulu to the bartender. No problem, now I know I have to order in French... after of course I wait for long minutes while the servers finish telling each other their stories... Some time later my Flemish friend tries to order a beer using its Flemish name (that was written in their menu) and one more time they looked at us like we came from another galaxy... We had to show them what was written in their menu... No worries, we eventually got all the beers we asked and we had a good time. About the crowd, I have been here only twice, seems quite diverse but not sure it is my cup of tea. But hey, give this place a try if you are around the train station, it is just right there and there is nothing like it in the area I believe... Cheers! read more

Nice building with an industrial atmosphere, decorative touches of brewery and the smell of barley in the air. I tried out several of their brews when we were in Scotland and loved them over there. The Elvis Juice V2 I picked was an excellent, hoppy Pale Ale. Unfortunately it came with an outrageous 10€ price tag for a pint. Also, the service and story around the brews were nonexistent. So, although the beer is great, the excessive price and limited experience each make me deduct a star. Still a great spot when waiting for the next train though. read more

Wife and I stopped here for a few drinks during our long Brussels layover. It was late on a weeknight so with that it was quiet. The upstairs area has some lounge style seating areas, very comfy. HUGE selection of beer and the bar guy knew about all of them. He did not know about his inventory though as the first 3 options I chose from his recommendations were dry when he went to pull them. This was a pretty sad experience. When we first arrived I went to the restroom where everything was filthy. Toilets had no water and the only open one had toilet paper and vomit just sitting in it. There were two sinks, one of which had the faucet broken off and was closed off with a plumbing bolt. The other one had no water flow whatsoever along with all the toilets. So there was no way of washing your hands after using this disgusting bathroom. I had a bad feeling about ordering food here after this however it was late and many other locations were closed. Food tasted very dirty (I think the oil was very old and everything tasted awful). Service was okay (3/5), however was nowhere good enough to get me to come back. read more
