We stopped here to get a drink because the lady working inside was welcoming. We wanted to sit outside and people watch, but this is on a leash crowded street, so it doesn't get as much traffic as the places along the square nearby. Their drink menu is quite extensive. They have a mix of cocktails and beers. They unfortunately didn't have any food so we had one drink and decided to go. They also have a 1 drink per 30 minute rule. So be prepared to get your drink on if you're going to come here and want to sit outside. I got a mojito and it was decent. Lots of fresh lime and mint though which is what I like about mojitos. read more

What can I say about this place other than that this is another one of Brussel's fine beer cafes. In fact, it seems that most of the cafes seem to be clustered in the city because when I have been out to the regions, I haven't actually encountered much in the way of beer bars, or at least not the extent I have encountered them here. The worst experience of my life. just walked in and the usher/waitress was so inhospitable and un inviting. I walked in with my wife who did not want to drink. but I did and wanted a couple of drinks. she told us she would not seat us at a table because my wife wasn't drinking she had an attitude unbecoming of a hostess maybe, me being brown had something to do with it but I won't hold it against her, except for this review. karma spares none! read more

Busy outdoor cafe on a busy, somewhat dingy street but with an ample beer menu and friendly service. By the time we stopped in here for a quick beer after dinner (husband was on a mission to try as many Belgian beers as possible) we were positively pooped from the day adventuring. We had a quick beer, watched the drunk people walk by, and chatted while getting ourselves a little bit more drunk. As this was the mission, we considered ourselves quite accomplished. And so we had a pleasant hour or so in this bustling spot with a nice large flight of beers, which we shared and thoroughly enjoyed. Not sure why I didn't take photos. This unassuming bar rests on an alley in the Bourse area. While not much to look at from the outside, the inside features a friendly staff and a large selection of some hard to find Belgian ales (seriously: they had Westvleteren 12, that holy grail of beer geeks, on list!). Prices are also absurdly cheap for the quality of the beer: most will run €4-€6 for a standard pour (33cl, or a little under 12oz). The more adventurous can order glasses ranging from 1L to 4L, or can snag a flight of beer (between 6-15 different beers to sample). The flights you'll see in most bars might give you a 4oz pour. These were easily 8oz a piece (not a bad deal at all for €19) With the bar unfortunately out of the Westvleteren, I enjoyed a blonde Trappist ale from Achel and eased into the afternoon. read more

They made us move from using two small tables to using one small table telling me that my two kids don't count as humans and that's why we can only have 1 table. She wants 4 adults per table. If she doesn't want kids there she needs to refuse people with children. She didn't. My man that drinks wanted to try this place, you get an option between sampling 6, 9 or 15 different beers, they will chose for you what once you get. They come with some salty nuts. We had 6 beers for 19 euro. I like two beers out of 6, it was fine, I did like the outside seating but found it super crumbed. I'm glad I did because I stumbled upon friendly company, sassy Romanian bartenders, and the BEST BEER IN THE WORLD. BOOM! Our first time in Belgium, we were excited to do a beer tasting. When we entered, we weren't even greeted by the woman at the bar. I asked if there was availability for 2 and she gave me a rude response saying that there's no room for us. She didn't even offer a wait time in regard to how long it would be. When I asked what the wait is, she rolled her eyes and again, gave me a rude response. Horrible experience! Go to the Golden Bar across the street instead!!! The place had every beer we wanted, some we didn't even know we wanted and one we hoped they had, the Westvleteren 12, a quadrupel's trappistes dream. Cheese and sausage for 8,50 to go along with whatever ever you choose, on spot service and great environment makes this a definite 5 star place! read more

They have an extensive range of Belgian beers (as well as others) at reasonable prices, and the two girls that always seem to be behind the bar are super friendly and cheery.
