This restaurant is located in a very old building. Inside is a series of 19th century murals depicting life in Germany. During WWI, German troops invaded Leuven and decided not to destroy the murals because they represented Germany and not Belgium. The rest of this restaurant is beautiful with dark wood and carvings on the walls.
Service was excellent at this restaurant. We were greeted, seated and our drink order was taken immediately. I had a beer and my wife had a wine. I ordered Vol-aux-Vent and my wife had Cod Royal. The food was cooked and arrived around 20 minutes later.
My dish had a large amount of chicken with gravy. The pastry cup was crispy and fresh. My wife's fish was cooked perfectly and had a nice sauce. Overall, both dishes were excellent in our opinions. We finished with a coffee each. This was an excellent lunch served on a white tablecloth. read more
