I had a mediocre experience here. I came here because I'm a fan of the twisted macaroni and cheese when I'm back home in the States. I went to Hard Rock while visiting London, a few years back, but the experience was not good here. Upon entry, there was a lady right in front of me and she was immediately greeted and taken to her seat. The hostess saw me, acted as if she didn't, then came back and asked me if I needed help, what the heck? I was taken upstairs to the table-- a lady was nearby but it took quite awhile for an ever to come over. I placed my order and the wait was very long. A guy who came in ten minutes after me and got his drinks and appetizer before I got my meal. My Salmon was okay, the Mac was good, as per usual, but the poor service left a sour taste-- the server even shared some friendly banter with the people next to me but was stoic when it came to my table. I planned on visiting the Hard Rock in Amsterdam before I returned home but after this experience I may just skip it... read more

Our trip to this hard rock is long in coming. We were here before they opened and at that time really needed American food on a very tough trip. We found the "soon-to-be" location and were sad. Luckily we had a chance to come back and we're happy to find the location open finally. We always enjoy hard rock and understand the food won't ever be 5 star but it's good American style food you can rely on. This location was exactly that and our visit was nice. The whole place is a little compact but it is right off the biggest tourist square in town so it's convenient for travelers. Service wasn't stellar but we had our needs attended to. read more

My mom and I have a tradition of eating at a Hard Rock Cafe every time we visit Europe. This visit just so happened to be in Brussels. We made a reservation the morning of for later that night. Would have likely been without one as it was a Monday night. Upon checking in, we were seated upstairs in a very cramped table. We were right up on the people next to us. Not sure why they didn't spread us out as the restaurant was NOT crowded. As you likely know, meals are slow and drawn out in Europe but this was on another level. We waited nearly 20 minutes just for our water. We were so thirsty. Our dinner order was placed with our water, shortly after we arrived and it still took about 40 minutes to come out. And we didn't order anything that required long cook times nor was the restaurant crowded. I ordered the salmon and vegetables. The salmon was dry and flavorless. The vegetables were also flavorless. My mistake for ordering salmon at a Hard Rock Cafe. My mother ordered the wings and fries and they were delicious. Once we left and returned to the hotel, I realized we left a shopping bag by our table. It had been close to an hour since we had left. Luckily, I called and it was there so we were able to retrieve it. However, I am unsure why we did not receive a call, as our number was attached to the reservation and table. Odd.... It was good to carry on the Hard Rock Cafe tradition in Europe but I wouldn't visit this one again. read more

We when in around 7pm. They let us know that the waiting time to be seated was for 30 minutes. We agree to wait, the place was super packed!! We just stand in the bar, and checked out the souvenirs. After 20 minutes we got called to be seated, faster than expected. Our table was on the second floor, the location has 3 floors. We were a group of 5 ( ages 11 to 45), and we all found something tasty to enjoy. The waiter was friendly and spoke English so we didn't needed our tour guide to translate. The food took 30 minutes to arrive; for us it was pretty fast, since the place was fully packed and it was dinner time. Is a little pricey, but hey is Hard Rock Cafe( that's normal). We didn't order dessert, since we had plan to go and eat some waffle in another place. read more

Left around 17.15 and were back at 18.15 for dinner. Upstairs. Friendly service at dinnertable. Better than around bar (the were very busy). Foods good. Waiter good. Wifi good. Hard Rock's Rock Shop in Brussels is in a prime location - right in the Grand Place - the center of the city. I didn't eat - only bought a pin - but the staff were really friendly and helpful - explained the pins to me and what they meant, made suggestions and small talk - and actually gave us change for our larger bills so we could shop at the Christmas markets. First of all, I love HRCs. I've been to them in Japan, Malta, London, Dublin, Prague, NYC, Hollywood, etc. I live in Belgium so you could say that this HRC is my local. Granted I have only been to this one a few times but each time it was the typical HRC experience - friendly staff, decent food and often good music (except when they play pop and expect you to believe that its hard rock). Yesterday I was there with friends, seven of us total. We were seated and this young guy, the waiter took drinks orders and then came back to take the food order. Six of us were eating. We all ordered and he didn't write anything down but repeated the order. Well his good memory failed him somewhere between our table and the kitchen because 20 minutes later he came and said, "I think I forgot one of the orders and I think it was yours", pointing at me. I told him again and he said that mine was the one he forgot. So he comes back ten minutes later to say that he's changing shifts, "looking for a tip" one of my friends said. All the other dishes arrived but not mine. I asked again and the new waitress was unaware of my order. I waited 15 minutes, they were about done eating and my food still wasn't there. "Can I get you anything else", she came back and said. "My food," I replied. Five more minutes. So I asked again and she said she'd check. It was coming. I said to forget it, I didn't want it anymore. Five minutes later she came back and then again, this time with my food. I told her that I didn't want it and she tried to force it on me. Make a long story short, we spoke to the manager who was very sympathetic but what's done is done. I didn't eat that afternoon but he gave a nice discount (no good to me of course) and a free Irish coffee. The best solution would be to fire that first arrogant ass who took the order and had the smug attitude. read more

One can debate about the long about the necessity of chain restaurants, some love them some hate them. I am of the first kind, not that I don't like the independence of a stand alone place but sometimes it is just pleasant to know that you can get that one specific thing that you urge so bad at that specific moment.... And the Hard Rock Café offers just that and the Brussels experience was right down my alley. I looooooove Hard Rock and the playlists are just great and some of the tunes remind me of the good old days, when listening to Soundgarden or Faith no More was cool! The decor was well thought through, the bar, the restaurant use the space of this beautiful historic house very well.... And as we are in the HRC you will have the guitars, t-shirsts and other memorabilia you can expect. The food: Again, they got it spot on, the burger is very nice and the nice thing is they actually have jalapenos if you want to spice it up (they look just like the ad but in real)... On my second visit I went for chicken and beef fajitas which were very well served as well, the sour cream and guacamole were great. For drinks HRC BXL have had the great idea to include a very nice selection of the amazing local belgian beers and the classic cocktails.. but I like the local brews! And to finish off the staff, they are very well trained, the waiting times are kept under control, and the courtesy is delviered very genuinly! To finish off, if you are a visitor in Brussels and hit the Grand Place there are other great places around the square which will give you a true taste of Belgium. But if you want to have a special event with a couple of buddies and long for a burger that looks just like he advertisement then HRC is for you. read more

This place is busy! Came here a few months ago, during a trip to Belgium. You'd have to grab a spot in line, had to wait over two and a half hours to be seated. The place is very packed so there isn't too much room from table to table. Wide variety of meals you can choose from, the BBQ ribs are definitely something to go for. The portions are pretty large and the meats are definitely well seasoned. Will return again the next time I travel to Belgium again read more

Can always count on Hard Rock to have American food. Whenever I'm in Belgium for a long time and I have a craving for greasy good food I come here. The prices are normal, the bathroom is free, and they have a cool art gallery on the upper floor where there are sketches from various musicians. I went here at night most recently and the view from the window on the beautifully lit grand place is definitely worth checking out! My only complaint is that it seems some of the staff only speaks English, which might alienate some of the older Belgian people who would want to give the Hard Rock a try. Obviously if you're visiting Belgium for a short trip, this Hard Rock has the same food as other Hard Rocks and the only special thing is the mini gallery upstairs! read more

Location is great, I have walked by the restaurant dozens of times and was not even aware it was a Hard Rock Cafe!! Only when looking for it will you realize what it is! Nice view of the Grand Place, able to see the whole area depending on where you are seated. Interior of the restaurant is same as all other Hard Rocks with artist memorabilia. On the top floor there is an artist gallery with drawings from musicians such as Michael Jackson, John Lennon, etc., which according to the waiter is unique for Hard Rock Cafes. Food is American, meaning huge portions! The nachos are amazing and enough even for 5 people. Burgers are great, too big to finish! Service is also a good balance between American and European service style, meaning they were attentive enough but not overly attentive, bothering you while you are eating your meal. Price is a bit expensive for the type of food, but to be expected at a Hard Rock Cafe. I'd go back again for a good burger! read more

Call me cheese. I know it's a world famous franchise, it's for tourists, it's outdated etc... but I really liked going for after dinner drinks at Hard Rock Café in Grand Place. I went with a friend popping to Brussels for work and he loved it too. Drinks are expensive (cocktails go up to 12euro) but they are very peculiar and delicious. When I say peculiar I mean both unusual and interesting. They are made with class, care and professionalism. Ask the bartender what you are looking for and he will be happy to come up with a tiny variation that makes a great difference in your cocktail. Staff were super-friendly too. Let me start off by saying I'm a HRC fan. After living in the good ole USA for quite some time, it's always a pleasure to indulge in some typical American delights such as potato skins, burgers, hot fudge sundaes,... I've been to HRC Brussels several times and I must say it's hit or miss as far as service is concerned. I've had great servers and I've had terrible servers. One time our server was truly horrible. He kept chatting to his friends I'm assuming at another table and took forever to take our order. We had finished our entrées for a good 15 minutes before he came to clear our table. Then it took him another 10-15 minutes to ask us if we wanted dessert only to come back and tell us it was too late and he had to cancel our dessert order because the kitchen had closed. The worst part about this story is that it wasn't even busy at the time! Last time I went our server was okay; a little on the slow and forgetful side as well though. And he leaned in very close to me in an almost inappropriate way; I didn't feel comfortable at all. Aside the hit-or-miss waiters, the food has been amazing every time and so are the drinks. I've never had a long wait either because I think most people don't even realize there's a HRC since it's situated in a protected building and blends in well with its surroundings. I also love the free refills and doggy bags! I always need a to-go box because the portions are huge; just how I like them! read more

Extremely disappointed. They do not have the "tableside pressed" berry cocktails as advertised in the menu and they sure do not tell you until after they bring you a normal less than good tasting mixed drink in a normal glass. You pay €12 for a drink on the menu for the experience not because the menu is pretty. Then the waitress's explanation "unfortunately that is the way that we do it" was unprofessional and rude. Next I ordered the NY Strip. It was a poorman's cut of meat with hard grizly fat blobs and was dry. If not for the krauter butter it would have amounted to an Aldis steak slice cooked in a frying pan. Not worth the 35€for the plate that I paid. It will be forever before I make a trip back to this place for a fourth visit. This one was my last. read more

This Hard Rock Cafe has a very special place in my heart. My husband and I had lived in Belgium for four years and would have "date days" over in Brussels. Once this location opened up, we'd make a day of it and get some American style food, enjoy some good old Rock n Roll in addition to the awesome city that is Brussels. The service is always fantastic, each floor in the cafe is a different "theme" and they have an interactive music request system. When we walked in, we were approached by a staff member who was holding an iPad and asked if there was any songs we wanted to hear. Of course, we gave our requests and then were seated where we could overlook Grand Place. Sure enough, when our food arrived, our songs came on. We had a weird experience with the stuff tonight. I visited most of the Hard Rock cafes in Europe and US and generally the stuff is super kind and talkative. This is my 3rd time in here, but tonight I surprisingly disappointed. We asked for a table with 5 people but we were 4 and we said our friend is on the bus and will come in 10 min. They said us to at the bar until our friend come. We wanted to sit at upstairs and after our friend come we said we can find an extra chair. They said it is impossible and we have to wait. After our friend come, they said we have to wait again for available table. We waited again and the waitress asked "How many menus do you want?" Seriously? How many people are we? We got upstairs. Surprise! It was almost empty and they prepared a table for 4 and with extra 5th chair. But wasn't it impossible? Also the lady who came for the payment was acting weird. Hard Rock Cafes are kind of international places, and the stuff doesn't know the numbers in english? Well... Only kind person was the lady who serves our food. read more

I was a little concerned after seeing the Reviews in regards to the service. But as busy as it was the service was quick and the food was great. The nachos was absolutely gigantic, it could easily fill 2-3 people and it was only 13.85! They were delicious as well. I went recently to the Hard Rock Cafe Brussels for the first time, because I was curious, like burgers and had never been there before. I think the burger and fries (can't remember which one I had exactly) were ok, but not special (go to Rachel for better burgers, if you are in the center). I liked how they presented the onion tower (like a tower:). I thought the drinks were quite expensive if you do not drink a lot (almost 4 euro for a big coke). I would recommend going there if you like the Hard Rock atmosphere, but not especially for the food. Also, it's probably better to make a reservations (which is possible via their website, but make sure they confirm your booking). read more

Being two huge hard rock café fans since visiting the London version last summer we had to go here for our aniversary! Had a great time, we allready ordered an appetiser down-stairs and when we were moved upstairs our app. was there by the time we were at our table. Classy! Good American bar food in a 'different' setting. Prices are high, but at least the service is better than anything you would get elsewhere in Brussels. I can't tell you how much I appreciate being able to get free water and refills. The servers are great and happy to engage with guests. One small observation I'd like to share with management -since you are clearly striving for American-style service - is that on numerous occassions I felt that the greeters/hosts are not engaging or proactive enough. This place is great! Its nice, it's comfortable. The service was incredible. We were shown around at our request, and told some interesting facts about the props hung on the walls, as well as the stars that they belonged to. The staff spoke perfect English, which was very nice to find. The waitress was a polish girl, that was very friendly with us, and answered all of our questions, and made sure everything was just great. The food was also very good! The ceasar salad (little pricy) was very well prepared, and burgers there are amazing. The NON-alcoholic coctail was also delicious.
