I am 65 in good health, with no infirmities, but that aside, helping customers with heavy goods should be SOP. It is not. Just I was putting the last bag in the cart he asked, "Do you want a hand with that?" "Not at this point no." Other than that they are reasonably good and will answer questions. They also stopped taking cats for adoption. I asked why and was told, "It's too much trouble".

My store is the Barrhaven one, and they are VERY PLEASANT to work with to straighten things out. But this time I had to deal with Customer Service because the store could not help me. Not a small task at my age, that's why I buy on line to begin with. So I cancelled my repeat order and that was fine with them.

You want to buy dead or soon to be dead fish, get yours from this cesspool. Most of the staff are rude and entitled and do not fear any consequence for destroying their employers business. When you tell them you want to buy a fish, they hate it, seem bothered by the act of needing to catch a fish, and they will act rude to ensure you never come back as a fishkeeper. Their tanks are disgusting, they never clean the gravel, no wonder their entire rack system is infected and has been continuously for over a year. Save your money.

Every time I'm at the St. Laurent mall I come into this pet store and freak people out by talking to the dogs like they are babies. The staff have always been really friendly and helpful, they give good advice and seem to know the store pretty well. They have a reasonable return policy and I had to return a cat carrier here once and it was very simple, they returned it even though we put my cat in it for a few minutes. They always have the cutest little puppies for sale, they cost A LOT, but I made sure to ask and they purchase them from reputable breeders and are against puppy mills. So please make sure you know where your furry friends are coming from! Don't support puppy mills! The puppies always seem happy and playful, which is a good sign when buying a puppy. Tip: If you pretend you're buying a puppy they let you hold them and snuggle them. Yeah I told you I love dogs...

I walked past the store today and the kitten is still sitting in her cage, unsold. I've never been to a pet store who refused to give me papers for a pet that I was ready to pay for then and there. When I approached the older women who was working about this, she told me that they are too young to have hay. I followed up stating that this is not true and rabbits must have unlimited hay at all times and without it, can become fatal (GI stasis). Not only am I educated on the matter, a google search on rabbit diet will share the same information. I was informed by the seriously uneducated worker that the rabbits had hay before, went to the vet and was told it was making them sick. This women lied to me as a simple google search has shown other citizens complaining about this issue at the same store for years. Additionally, I doubt a store who sells rabbits for profit took a sick animal to see an exotic veterinarian. This is animal cruelty at its finest and this store should be shut down. Please spread the word and boycott PetWorld.
